We’ve upgraded this great old house with modern amenities including stainless steel appliances, a Nest thermostat, and smart TVs in both the living room and the Kid’s Nook, where you can login to Netflix or Disney on the Roku. For some non-digital down time, we have a collection of board games, puzzles, and a library of books for all ages.

We offer everything needed for a comfortable stay -- fully stocked kitchen complete with dishwasher and coffee makers (K cups, drip, or french press), washer and dryer, high quality bedding, and a plush couch. Remote work is made easy with upgraded and reliable high-speed cable internet (400 mb/s), and a desk area in a quiet bedroom.

Our two main bedrooms both have queen-sized beds, and the Kid’s Nook (third bedroom) has two twin-sized beds, plus two fold-out mattresses and two pack ‘n plays for extra kiddies. Outdoors you can relax in our comfy chairs on the front porch or grill on our Char-Griller. Coming soon: new firepit and renovated outdoor space.

** Our manager Andréa offers you the option of pre-ordering groceries or anything else you need. She can also deliver firewood, or any special treats that you’d like in the house for your visit.

** The home does have enough beds to comfortably sleep 6 adults - the ideal is 4 adults and 4 kids. Max adults allowed is 6, max guests is 8.

** Woodstove is for décor only.

** Well-behaved dogs welcome for a one-time $75 pet fee up to a maximum of 2 dogs. Dogs are not allowed on the couch or beds. We ask that pet owners clean up after their dogs both inside and outside.

** No shoes past the mudroom to keep the carpets clean for everyone.

** Our house has well water but we have a UV sanitation-filtration system so the water is safe to drink. Often guests don't like the taste and bring their own.

**Grill uses charcoal.

** Disclosure: The exterior of the house is monitored by a Nest doorbell which is recording 24/7 at the front door to ensure guest and host safety.

We are out in the country on over 2 acres, but close to many activities. The house is located in Shandaken, in the heart of the Catskills, near the popular town of Phoenicia. We are just a few hundred feet from the world famous, trout-filled Esopus Creek where you can fish or swim to your heart’s content. If you get tired of Phoenicia with its theater and art galleries, it’s only a 20-minute drive to Woodstock, which has excellent restaurants and a thriving live music scene. We are also located close to several wedding venues.

For calming activities, we can recommend local spots for yoga, acupuncture, massage, or a spa day. For people looking to ski or snowboard, Hunter Mountain, Belleayre, Windham, and Plattekill ski areas are all close by. Winter enthusiasts can enjoy snow shoeing, cross country skiing, and winter hiking. Year round there are hiking and mountain biking options, and in the summer it’s only a few minutes to Belleayre Beach. Afterwards, you can imbibe at the two craft breweries nearby -- Woodstock Brewing and West Kill Brewery.

If shopping is your thing, farm-stands and vintage and antique stores can be found all along Route 28. For foodies, we are close to delicious options including Peekamoose Restaurant and Tap Room, Brio’s Pizzeria, the Pines, the Deer Mountain Inn, the Shandaken Inn, Silvia’s, Cucina, Prospect, Woodnotes Grill, The Red Onion, The Phoenician Steakhouse, Maeve’s Place, Phoenicia Diner and many more.
