Halff family Christmas

We had such a great time staying here!! The kids were never bored and the adults got to be a kid all over again with the slides. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun place for the entire family.

Great Family Getaway

Six kids ranging from 9 years old to two months old and five adults. The house is enormous. Never felt crowded. The kids were constantly on the slide, in the theatre room, or in the Uncle Squatch crawlspace. Plenty of master bedroom sized beds and showers for the adults. Huge bunk bed "barracks" for the kids. The kitchen was fantasic. We used the grill and kitchen everyday of the say. The host has everything you need as far as knives, utinsels, plates, bowls. Two dishwashers were a lifesaver. The outside slide was a fast waterslide that the kids loved. At night cars stop on the road outside to take pictures of the house. It's really phenomenal with the lighting and the huge slide. My only complaint has nothing to do with the house. The traffic in and out of Hochatown is horrible. Not sure we will return to the area just based on that. But would highly highly recommend this property if you are coming.

Everything you Need

This house is literally perfect. It has everything you could ever need. It has activities for everyone. It is perfectly designed to allow for family enjoyment and the comfort of all the beds was outstanding. The host went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. We already want to go back!

One of a kind

One of a kind home. Fun in every corner. Kids and adults dream. We did have about 30 yellow jackets in the house at one point. But they hung out on the window and didn’t bother anyone. It was just a little anxiety from kids and adults. They showed up out of no where and were gone the next day. Of course, it happened thanksgiving day so there wasn’t anything that could be done. Again, they didn’t bother anyone but owners need to look into how they got in the house. I still give this property every bit of a 5 star rating. It was breathtaking!

"Best trip ever Gramma!"

We give our family a trip rather than Christmas gifts. Memories are so much more important than things. Cherished memories were created in the Slideaway Hideaway this past weekend! Exactly as described online. David was incredibly accommodating as our host. The house was fun on every level, inside and out! Really no need to leave, although we did enjoy Beaver's Bend State Park for hiking. We plan to return!

Absolutely perfect family Christmas gathering place

Our family is separated by many miles, this amazing house brought us together for making some wonderful, unforgettable memories. This house is so well thought out by the owners, with surprise, perfect touches added everywhere, for all ages ( our group ranged from 2-70). We are very thankful for the opportunity to be together, but especially in such a welcoming, family friendly and beautiful home. It was perfect in all ways! Full House

This was a very fun stay. We had 28 people in the house ranging from 2 years old to 65 years old and is was a great time! The house is really fun and sturdy. The slides, hot tubs, sauna, fire pit, and every other amenity in the home were consistently used throughout our three night stay. Lots of fun!

A sweet sixteen to remember!

A good time was had by all! How could you not have fun in this beautiful home. We travelled with 11 kids (15-22) to celebrate our son’s sixteenth birthday. We filled our days with hide and seek, chess, hot tub time, cooking, boating and even axe throwing! Communication was seamless and I couldn’t praise David and his wife for the getaway of a lifetime. Perfect Getaway

We had a wonderful week in this beautiful cabin. Their goal is to have everything you need. All you have to bring is your clothes and food. They met their goal and then some! The cabin location is central for all activities….atv trail riding, hiking, boating on the lake and kayaking on the river. The outdoor decks are spacious and welcoming. The ceiling fan on the deck is huge and made a nice breeze on warm evenings. The game room was the hub for afternoon fun. We could not have asked for a more perfect cabin for our family gathering. David is a fantastic owner and made us feel like welcomed guests. He answered every question promptly. And yes, everyone (age 11 to 70) made at least one trip down the slide!

Absolutely AMAZING

David, the host is one of the best I have ever worked with! He and his wife are very attentive to any needs or questions! He knows every corner, closet and gadget in his home and provides clear cut directions on how to operate everything without needing to be on-site. The home is beautifully built, decorated and designed for large families in mind! This stay provided lasting memories for my family of 20! So much fun! Everything I dreamed and more

This cabin was really everything I expected and more. We had so much fun!! We had a total of 29 people, 13 of which were 12 and under. The kids played and played and played and we didn’t even bring our own toys into the cabin. We were blown away by the luxury of the cabin and it’s features! The slide and hideout were the kids’ favorites and the hot tubs, sauna, and back deck were just a few of the adult favorites! My family would be thrilled to go again!

Great House

The stay was fabulous. If we are ever back in the area we would stay at this house again. There is a lot of new construction in the area so there are trucks coming and going during the day time hours but not noisy, just traffic. The house had everything you need to cook all your meals, which we did. The media room was awesome and the gaming room upstairs was cool. We stayed in the upstair bedroom nest to the media room and it was my favorite, although the true master bedroom was down stairs to the left. We would recommend this house to anyone.

What started as a creative dream quickly became a family-run business fueled by faith, hard work, and a deep love for bringing people together. Each of our cabins is designed with imagination in every detail with hospitality at the heart of it all. We believe in doing things differently—no cookie-cutter cabins here! Depending on your cabin choice, you may find indoor slides, bird’s nest hot tubs, star-lit theaters, splash pads, bowling alleys, and secret surprises tucked away.

From the very beginning, our five kids have been hands-on, helping with everything from painting, constructing, designing, heavy lifting, to making beds & testing out the slides (quality control, of course!).
