Lansing Layover #12| Project Runway

There are fifteen parking spots in this eleven unit building. Parking is in the rear and side of the building. You are free to park in any spot you'd like :) Apartment #12 is located a couple steps up on the third level when you come in the back of the building, it will be on your left. This unit has a Queen bed in the bedroom. It also had a queen sized pull out sofa in the main living area. The space is best for 2-4 people.

This is an older brick, eleven unit apartment building located in an industrial area of Lansing. With an older building like ours comes older building things like thinner walls and a creaking pipe from time to time. Most people have no issue with this. Some even prefer the old charm. But, understandably some do not. If you are someone that is sensitive to these type of things this may not be the building for you (though we hope it is). We try to have something for everyone! This urban area of Lansing mostly consisting of apartment buildings and the main attraction, the Capital City Lansing Airport. We are a quick 10-15 minute drive from everything in Lansing and East Lansing also. There are Uber and Lyft options available pretty much 24/7.

Perfect location

This property was just across the street from the airport which made our early morning flight easy to get to on time. We found that it was only about 15 minutes to any of the locations we needed to visit in any direction. It was the perfect location for us. Clean and fairly quiet considering the location of the airport.

Clean and Cozy

The outside doesn’t look like much but the inside was nice - probably best for 2 people. My son and I started here for a week, very pleased with it.

STAY FAR AWAY

Check in was interesting. The owner wasnt aware of the booking, then lied about the room getting a new couch so we couldnt get in until 430 instead of 4. All he did was put a portable A/C unit in the room. This apartment is in an actual apartment building with actual tenants. Very very dirty outside of building and inside and smelled. The apartment itself was not the room we book, did not match any of the photos. It was insanely unclean, floors hasnt been swept or mopped, stove top was dirty, over was disgusting. Microwave was dirty, finger prints on the fridge, splatter all over the trash can and cabinets it sat next to. There was a brown smear down the fldoor frame inside the bathroom. The return airvent was covered in THICK dust. There is way too much to list. Owner did not answer text about complaints. Called VRBO to get a refund as my husband and I were absolutely not staying there. Had to call VRBO the next day to confirm the owner had cancelled the stay and refunded the $. He had not done so until they reached out again. Wish I could include the phots on this review so no one else has to go through this and walk into the filth they are trying to make into $. Definitely will give VRBO a bad rep if he continues to do business this way.

There was an error with the booking, that resulted in a double booking. This was the first weekend of MSU football and there was nowhere to put this guest. We reached out to her and explained the situation, and offered to have her stay in one of our apartment units that we were just finishing up as a new listing. We explained we were literally in the process of furnishing it. We had someone bring a couch in at the last minute to try and accommodate her stay. It was not a perfect situation. But, we were trying to find a solution that wouldn't result in her being left with nowhere to stay last minute. She called to cancel at 1am that night. We accepted this request first thing in the morning. We understand her frustration. But, we feel we did the best we could to try and help out in what was a tough situation. The guest did not stay in the unit listed, and this review should in no way represent the experience guests have had or will have in this listing.
