We decided to buy this property in Tarpon Springs because it had everything we were looking for. the unit is bright and airy and clean. the complex is small and communtiy based. the clubhouse is large and clean and well used. the people were so nice from the moment we met them. It's got gulf access by boat, literally minutes away. My husband can fish right out our back door in the canal, where red fish and trout are abundant. it's located adjacent to a nature preserve, which gives us privacy and lush green tropical foliage. Every morning we have coffee on the lanai with our friend "charlie" the crane who comes to visit. quiet and tranquil setting. it's also located minutes from 2 major beaches.( you could ride your bike)
and a few minutes by car to Honeymoon Island State Park and Caledesi Island, named one of the most beautiful beaches in the US. ( they are located int he next town over)
The Pinellas trail runs straight through if you are into hiking and biking. There are numerous restaurants(great greek food) and the sponge docks are a fun place to visit for my afternoon espresso.a very small town feel in a beautiful of antique shops, little stores and restaurants. for more of a party atmosphere, clearwater is located about 15 minutes away. beach bars, party music on the beach, ect.
for more sophisticated tastes, tampa is about a 30 minute ride, where you can find world class restaurants, theater, museums, the aquarium, ect.
