THE VILLA AND PROPERTY
'Chi Chi' roughly translates to 'big sister' in our local Papiamentu creole and is situated one row up from the sea on the exclusive hill of Cas Abou! A staircase on the side of the property takes you directly down to the sea road!

The Area: when you hear about Curaçao, you hear about blue-blue waters, sandy beaches, abundant nature, and a very chill and laid-back countryside. Cas Chi Chi is located in the center of the Banda Abou area in the exclusive, quiet and gated Cas Abou neighborhood - one of the finest on the island. Global top-ten rated, Cas Abou beach is right around the corner! 20-25 minutes from the airport, UNESCO sites are downtown, and the Westpunt village is at the end of the island. And, just look at those pictures! This area is alllll about Mother Nature. 365 sunsets a year over the sea, spectacular night skies, and moon reflections in the water... But don't just look at the water, it's a 60-second walk to your choice of private beaches. Head down the stairs and go left or right (I know it's tough to decide on these things when on holiday) and meet the folks that come here to dive, snorkel, and beach it in your backyard. Yep, you can do this!
Aside from the neighborhood beaches, there are 20+ bays, beaches to explore, and 10+ snack shacks (sneks) and restaurants to enjoy within a 20-minute drive!

The Villa: Cas Chi Chi is your home away from home. Our property manager, Sylvia , treats your comfort, holiday, and fun as its priority. The villa has three bedrooms (each bedroom has a sea view and A/C) with the following plan on the main floor: the master bedroom has an en suite bathroom, king bed and sliding doors out to the full-length covered terrace, as well as a custom-built closet with enough space for everybody; off of the master bedroom is the indoor living space and kitchen and laundry rooms. The second bedroom is also on the main floor with separate doors out to the terrace and outdoor living and lounging areas. This bedroom connects to a private reading lounge/office space and a second full bathroom and has a queen bed. There is also a half-bathroom in the front foyer with a toilet and sink. The outdoor lounging areas have two separate dining spots, one by the pool and another one by the second bedroom. There are ceiling fans across the entire shaded deck. The terrace and pool offer fantastic views of the Caribbean, and sunsets into the water every single set of the year! The downstairs contains an additional large bedroom with an en suite bath/shower, ac and a king bed.

As the crow flies, Chi Chi is about 20 meters from the sea and one row up. The neighborhood steps are on one side of the property so just walk down the steps and take a left or a right and walk 60 seconds to your own beach for world-class fun!

Wir wollten nicht mehr heim!

Als wir ankamen waren wir überwältigt vom Ausblick und der Terrasse. Im Haus war alles da, was man für einen tollen Urlaub braucht. Handtücher, Küchenutensilien, eine Waschmaschine, ein Grill (wir Deutschen lieben Weber Grills ;-)) und ein super Kühlschrank, alles war da. Ebenso war Geschirr und Besteck in ausreichender Menge vorhanden. Alle Elektrogeräte haben einwandfrei funktioniert. Check in und check out mit Brigitte war herzlich und unkompliziert. Im Untergeschoss war genug Platz, damit wir unser Tauchequipment waschen und zum Trocknen aufstellen konnten. Im Untergeschoss war das Wlan ein wenig schwach, vielleicht könnte man einen Verstärker aufstellen, sodass die untere Wohnung auch mit Wifi versorgt ist. Aber ansonsten hat für uns alles gepasst. Kommen sehr gerne wieder, vielen Dank :-)

Wonderful Vacation

From the second the island of curaceo became visible from the plane, i was awestruck with its beauty. This was our first visit to the island as we typically vacation in Aruba this time of year. We were not disappointed in our decision to switch it up. A much bigger island with identical weather but more to see. Cas CHI CHI was an amazing home in a peaceful, tranquil location of the island. We were met day one by Sylvia, who went as far as taking us to get a rental car and groceries. Loation a 10, House a 10, services a 1o...Fabulous experience.

Stunning

My husband and I truly enjoyed staying at Cas Chi Chi. The views are breath taking, yard feels private, bedding was comfy and the location was prefect for our needs. We wanted to explore the whole island and felt that this house gave us a great home base. For this trip we enjoyed being away from the typical tourist areas. Our only complaint was the leather couch wasn't that comfy and truly that's such a minor detail.

Pure Heaven

Cas Chi Chi was a beautiful home in a beautiful neighborhood. I spent most of the week on the back deck and in the pool. We had dinner watching the sunset and woke up to the songs and squawks the colorful birds that inhabited the area. Don and Brigitte quickly responded to the few questions or concerns that we had during our stay. I can’t say enough about the house and their hospitality! There was even a bottle of champagne in the fridge to greet us. We will definitely be going back!

Above Expectations All Around!

This property is even better in person than in the pictures. The property was very well located and easy to get anywhere from there. The view was impeccable and the property had all the amenities we needed. The deck and the pool is where we spent a lot of the time! Don and Brigitte were also beyond expectations! They were very quick to respond to any inquiry we had from our NYE reservations to our check out time. We highly recommend this property if you are looking for a little piece of paradise. We will definitely be returning!

Quiet, gated community with great ocean views!

Cas Chi Chi was the perfect size for our group of 5 people. The entry to all of the bedrooms was separate which gave each individual room the feeling of privacy. The kitchen was functional and had everything that we needed, though we only cooked breakfast and had a light lunch there everyday. The deck was great, and we spent a lot of time there enjoying the pool with drinks and having coffee with that spectacular view every morning. I really enjoyed feeding the birds. We also fed the feral cats downstairs, but they were never bothersome. The only issue we had was the gate entry/exit into the neighborhood. The key pad never worked initially. We had to constantly reset it and keep trying. We made it a game to see who had the “touch” that particular time. This is no fault of Seaside Curacao, though. Maybe whoever manages the gate system has a remote and doesn’t use the keypad to know that there’s a problem. Brigitte was also very warm and friendly and set us up with a rental car. It was an easy experience just leaving it parked in the airport lot as we left. Overall, a great house with lots of privacy which provided us with everything we needed!

Nice breeze with an outstanding view!

We only stayed for 2 days at Cas Chi Chi and enjoyed every minute of it. The pool is perfect, and what an amazing view up there. The nice breeze at night, watching the sun go down, you can certainly sit back and relax.

A little slice of paradise!!!

Everything was wonderful - the house is well stocked with everything you could possibly need. Fantastic views, very clean, and close to a little swimming spot and cas abou beach (beach chairs, restaurant and dive shop) Some things to Note: curaçao is quite spread out so you definitely need a car to get around. Many little convenience / grocery stores though recommended that for major shops you go to centrum supermarket. The house has everything you need to make lovely meals at home! The island is surrounded by coral reef, so parts of the beach can have little coral pieces, as such if you have water shoes they are handy for snorkelling! We had a great week & highly recommend this house!

Excellent location & beautiful views!

We had a wonderful time! Stayed here just the two of us for a week of vacation as first time visitors to Curaçao. The home is in excellent condition with everything you need. Perfectly located right by the best beach on the island and it was so wonderful to have the pool as an alternative. It was quiet and peaceful. Can’t wait to come back!

Great Villa! Perfect pool, great deck, clean, close to beach, safe, everything you need.

We stayed at Cas Chi Chi for a week in late November with another couple. We loved the villa! The view is amazing - every morning we woke up to the ocean. We spent most of our time out on the deck if we weren't exploring the island, one morning we saw a beautiful rainbow over the water from an early morning rain. There was plenty of seating for eating, or reading, sun and shade just watch your head on the rolled canopy. A dip in the pool before heading out for the day was a daily thing. Be careful of the deck - it gets super slippery when wet. We set up some bird feeders and had a great variety visiting all week. There are some outdoor cats but if you don't feed them they pretty much stay off the deck. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking breakfast and dinner, make coffee, blended drinks, etc. The icemaker and water from the fridge was great for filling water bottles for our day trips. We used the outdoor grill a few times too. There is also a washer and dryer and clothesline that we used once. The bedrooms were spacious and having our own bathrooms was fantastic. Also the AC works great in the bedrooms, always very comfortable for sleeping. Every day we tried to make it back to jump in the pool, have a beer and watch the sunset before dinner. The sunsets from the deck are fabulous. There is a tiki hut on the property and it is a great place to sit back and look at the stars. A few minutes walk down the street and through the woods takes you to a small coral beach that is normally empty. There is a gate to get in to the area and we felt very safe but never felt crowded by the other villas in the community. The pool guy came once during the week as did cleaning people. Don was great for setting up the rental and Brigitte the consierge was so nice. She set up our car rental and had great suggestions for grocery and other things we might need. She always picked up the phone anytime we called. Cas Abou beach is a little bit further - take car - and is a great beach although you now have to pay (Villa people no longer get in for free. It is worth the charge though - very pretty beach, sandy, you can rent chairs and there are shady spots. We snorkeled here a bit, not the greatest but if you go to the left you will see some stuff. You can get drinks and food here. Go to jaanchies for dinner, the grouper was awesome. Deep sea fishing - Fish Charter Curacao, they were great and we had some fish for the grill

We had an awesome time in Cas Chichi! My family really enjoyed are stay in curacao. The house was perfectly located for the best beaches in curacao. Spent are days on a beach and then returned to enjoy a beautiful sunset with a drink in the pool. It doesn't get any better than that. House was clean and efficient, really enjoyed the ice machine and blender. The neighborhood was nice and quiet. Brigitte was great with any questions or concerns. 2 things of note are that there is no pass to cas abao, security guard thought we were crazy when we told him there was supposed to be a pass, and the floating market in town is not there. the boats apparently aren't allowed out of Venezuela. Don't miss dinner at fort Nassau, you can't find a better view, chocolate lava cake at karakter, and swim with the turtles at westpunt. Best meal was at landhuis santa marta. Everyone had a great time at your beautiful house

Great views, nice accomodations, a welcome oasis

Overall a nice place with good wi-fi, a nice little pool, great views, professional landscaping, 110 electrical service, well appointed kitchen, nice shower and drinkable water. Needs a little TLC but very nice for the most part. Bugs not too bad but feral cats sometimes were annoying. Given the level of security here and other places on the island, crime must be an issue, but we felt safe all the time (except for the crazy drivers). Cas Chi Chi was a welcome oasis in a dry, dusty island.

Paradise found!

From unbelievable stunning views and amazing sunsets, to sweet-singing birds, to the comfy-comfy bed, this was IT!!! The house, in a small, lovely gated community (Cas Abao) was immaculate, containing everything one would need to enjoy a luxury vacation. Well-appointed kitchen, nice furnishings and perfect pool! It was also nice to have a well-working BBQ; we used it almost every evening. Good local fish and chicken around to cook. (Try a marinaded version from Centrum, the supermarket, for something a bit different.) Don, Bridgette and the Seaside team made sure everything was ready for us. Bridgette gave us lots of ideas of where to travel on the island and we were not disappointed. Lots of little beaches up around the northwest to explore and explore we did! But we also spent many hours sitting on the patio looking out at the many blues and greens of the water and the little yellow birds singing and flitting about. The sweet shy cats that visit in the early evening and morning were enjoyable as well; feeding them helped. Our last morning we saw a pod of dolphins swimming by - the icing on the cake! We can't say enough about this great place - you'll just have to see it for yourself. We will be back and you can bet we'll be staying in Cas Abao!

LOVED our time at Cas ChiChi

This beautiful home was the perfect size for just the two of us. It can easily accommodate more, but we thought the master was the nicest room. We loved swimming every day in the pool, spending 90% of our time on the shaded porch, and enjoying the company of the cats at night! It is a beautiful home and an amazing tucked away location!

Amazing Setting!

We stayed 11 nights at Cas Chi Chi and really loved it. The views are stunning. The house is very comfortable, with three en suite bedrooms, all with air conditioning. (But except for two nights, we just used the ceiling fan and left the windows open.) The kitchen is very well equipped with just about everything you can imagine you might need for cooking. We appreciated the non-stop supply of ice from the freezer! The pool, while not large, is perfect for cooling off on a hot afternoon. The location of the property is great -- half way between Willemstad and Westpunt (west end of island) and easy drives to the National Parks and close to two restaurants that we visited twice each (E Lanternu and Klein Santa Martha). Brigitte, from Seaside, was very accommodating to needs as they cropped up. We were pleasantly surprised to have maid service about every four days! The private beach for the development is small and rocky (really coral -- take reef walkers), but is a beautiful spot with a palapa for shade. It's easy to access -- just go right out the front gate, down the road and turn left to the sign. Keep right as you go down the path. (This is much easier than going down steep, rocky path at the side of the property recommended by the owners.) Oh, and we must not forget the beautiful birds -- several species of tropical birds come to the deck, especially if you put out bird seed. See troupials, bananaquits, saffron finches, yellow orioles -- even hummingbirds and parrots. All beautiful and fun to watch. Just a couple suggestions: the second bedroom should have a ceiling fan, make sure you always have a full lighter for the grill (the igniter doesn't work), it would be nice to have a remote for the front gate. I highly recommend the property for a laid back and relaxing stay in the Caribbean!

Total Relaxation in Paradise

We arrived as Cas Chi Chi and met with Brigitte, she showed us everything and made sure we were all set even went quickly and got us a full tank of propane in case we needed it. The villa was everything we could ask for. Beautiful gardens, views of the ocean, private, and a beautiful pool to stay cool. The villa was equipped with everything you could possibly need. The kitchen had everything you needed and a very generous gift from the owner of the villa of some Proseco chilled in the fridge! The fridge had an ice maker which came in handy for our blended drinks. We spent our mornings before touring around the island, watching all the birds feed from the feeders on the deck and perch themselves on the cactii singing to us - we even saw a whale one day! We would watch the fishing boats go by as we soaked in the pool. There's a path right beside the villa to walk down to another path that takes you to a small beach but you can drive just around the corner just a few minutes and you're at an amazing beach Cas Abao which was probably our favourite beach on the island and we visited almost all of them. This villa was in a perfect area to tour the west side of the island. We hope to come back one day to this villa and stay longer! We did not want to leave. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Super kitchen with relaxing views

Our group of 3 adult couples were visiting Curacao for scuba diving and stayed in Cas Chi Chi. The modern kitchen and outdoor propane grill were excellent and met all our needs in preparing many fine meals during our two week stay. The ice maker in the refrigerator was well used, as was the propane stove. The outdoor dining area had more than enough room for our group. The large supermarket near Willemstad met all our needs and we also supplemented purchases with the smaller local stores. I would also recommend purchases of vegetables and fruit from the open market in Willemstad waterfront - great choice and good value. The swimming pool was perfect for cooling off in and was an enjoyable feature which we all used daily. The suntan deck is excellent in location, but please mind the low overhang when walking under the low roof beam (ouch). The two bedrooms on the upper floor were clean, comfortable and had large ample storage space. The third bedroom on the lower floor was rated as second class. This lower floor bedroom was clean but much smaller, had no wifi and had a view of the parking lot. The rest of the house was clean, comfortable and in a quiet and safe location on the island. We enjoyed the garden flowers, the gated property and views of the beautify caribbean sea. Walking down the road to the water took about 15 minutes from Cas Chi Chi and the small beach is private and has great snorkelling. Cas Abou beach is outstanding for sand and sea and is a 10 to 15 minute drive from this house. Scuba diving was excellent with the guiding services provided by Daan from Rebel Diving. She was a good leader who introduced us to some very pleasant shore dive locations. The reefs we visited varied with life and proximity to shore. Daan really made all the difference to our scuba experience and I highly recommend her services. Don and Brigitte from Seaside were both very pleasant and honest. They were willing to assist and support us with answers to our questions and to provide solutions to issues. I would recommend arranging your own rental vehicles and ensuring you have confirmation reaffirmed prior to arrival at Curacao.

Stunning Oasis

Ever year we took our family to Aruba, but got sick of the crowds, the noisy and expensive resorts, the crowded beaches, and the hype. This year we decided to change the habit and try Curacao. We were lucky to find this gorgeous place. We have two boys and spent every day sitting in the pool, or grazing lazily, and watching the ocean (awesome sunsets). Occasionally we got active and left the house to walk the short path to the beautiful beach (not the easiest access, but we were the only ones there each time we went). For an activity we went to the supermarket a couple of times. Hubby has an aversion to shopping so our visit to Willemstad (really cool) was singular, but easy (free parking at Renaissance). If we compared the house we went to in Aruba to this one we found Cas Chichi cheaper, bigger, cleaner, safer, quieter, my kids liked the internet better and the television was actually fantastic. Kitchen is excellent, well equipped & has the best view in the world (the fridge has cold water AND ice... heaven!). The air conditioners are clean and quiet, so are the ceiling fans. Washing machine a bonus too. Pool is so cool (lights up at night as desired), not Olympic but good for swimming & watching the ocean, listening to native birds, and occasionally yelling at your son because he cannon-balled in and got pool water in your wine. Supermarket access was easy, about 25 minutes away to excellent well stocked, clean supermarket, and the bonus was it was cheaper than Aruba and had not only an excellent beer and wine selection, but Dutch food (yum), allergy consideration stuff, and great meats & vegetables (just because the tomatoes look imperfect don't hesitate to eat them - best tasting tomatoes EVER!). The rental agency with Don and Bridget was fantastic... they're really nice, answer questions and make sure we're happy - even organising a rental car for us (also cheaper then Aruba). I would say the house suits large families, couples, groups of people, and small families like ours. Cas Abou beach is a very easy drive, and was incredible. We used to show off with photos of us in the water in Aruba, but man, this beach is better, a million times so. The water is so clear it seems unnatural... you can see not just down to the bottom, but horizontally as well...and you can see so far. Take bread with you to feed fish, (snorkelling equipment at the house). It blows my mind still how beautiful it truly is - an unspoiled gem indeed!

Sunsets to die for

The reviews say it all for me....Don & the lovely Bridgette (do not know if i spelled her name right, but she is awesome). I have rented all over with HomeAway and Seaside Curacao have it down pat. The house is great! Rooms are separated just right for 3 couples. The pool is just enough for cooling off. Kitchen has everything including a new coffee maker, eh Bridgette?!?!?! (lol) Beaches are very close drive. What else can i say? P.S. DIDN'T find the walk to the beach that quick or convenient (ask before you take the path "thorny")

Gorgeous Home in Curaçao!

Thank you Don for sharing your amazing home in Curaçao! This home is perfectly situated near the beach with gorgeous views of the ocean and sunsets. We walked to the nearby beach, it was that close. This home is huge and very clean and you'll have a hard time leaving this property, because everything you want in a relaxing vacation is right there. The swimming pool was the icing on the cake! Loved our vacation because we stayed here. Don't miss this gem if you're looking for a vacation rental in Curaçao. Curaçao has some of the prettiest beaches in the Caribbean. I've traveled to over 13 islands in the Caribbean and Curaçao beaches have the most gorgeous water!
