Destin West Heron 408/Gorgeous Bayside View

Spacious 3 bedroom, 2 bath condo unit in the Destin West Beach and Bay resort with breathtaking views of the bay and overlooking the laz river, pool and hot tubs. Destin West is a premier resort with buildings on the gulf and bay sides. All guests have access to the beach, large pool, hot tub and well equipped fitness center on the beach side (by way of an elevated walkway) and the lazy river, pool.
Our second condo, purchased in January 2021, Heron 408 is a spacious 3 bedroom, 2 bath condo overlooking the bay, pools and lazy river. The master has a king bed and brand new furniture, a new smart TV and Cox Cable. The guest bedroom has a queen bed, smart TV and cable, and the 3rd bedroom has bunk beds, a smart TV and cable. There is a dining table in the main room. Living room is spacious with a large u shaped sofa and another new 65 inch big screen Smart TV and cable. A full laundry room with new washer and dryer make keeping clothes and towels clean a breeze. The spacious balcony has a 6 person table and overlooks the lazy river.

Both the living room and master bedroom have access to the balcony that has a spectacular view of the bay, pools and lazy river!

As a courtesy to our guests, we have beach chairs, floats, boogie boards and a beach cart on the balcony that you are free to use as well! Just put them back before you leave.

Will definitely be back!

The condo was amazing. Clean, spacious and has all the comforts of home. There is a fully stocked kitchen, fames and coloring books for the kids and enough beach towel, sand toys, beach chairs, wagons and fishing equipment for everyone. My only complaint is the mattress in the bunk room is like sleeping on a concrete slab. Highly recommend this place and we will be back!

Wonderful! Looking forward to booking again next summer!

We come to Destin West every summer and we are so happy we found this condo! The kitchen was great and all of the bedrooms were very spacious! Patio had an enormous table (seating for 8!!) and there were an ABUNDANCE of beach chair and toys. Owners were very responsive and kind. Can’t wait to come back!!

Great place to stay! We all loved it!

Great place to stay. Kids had a great time in Lazy River and the beach was right across the walkway over the street. It was the little things that made the difference. Had trash bags, toilet paper, and dish detergent so we didn’t have to go buy full size of all this stuff and pack it home. That was awesome! Thanks again! Definitely recommend

Relaxing and Recharging

This was our 6th time staying at Destin West Beach & Bay. This was by far the nicest property we’ve rented. Everything was clean and updated. It was a cozy and perfect long weekend getaway with our family. The weather was a little chilly but, our youngest (9) still enjoyed the heated pool and hot tub. Our son (20) got in some fishing time and caught 3 trout off the marina dock with the fishing equipment stocked in the closet! We look forward to staying again in this beautiful property as Destin West is always on our shortlist for vacations and last minute getaways!

Great place for families

We loved our stay in this condo! Fort Walton Beach wasn't very crowded during out stay, and the pools at the condo are wonderful! Our girls loved going down to the pools every chance they got! We loved sitting out on the balcony! We hope we get to stay here again in the future!

Softball/Beach Vacation

The USSSA softball tournament brought us to Fort Walton and Destin West Resort. The lazy river was so relaxing and a lot of fun with the kids. The resort is located in a great location. It is close enough to several fun restaurants that you can walk and just down the street to the grocery store. This was very convenient especially because the traffic was awful the week we started. Overall great trip!

Great condo for a great trip.

We booked and end of year trip for our teens. This condo and resort was the perfect spot! The condo was so clean. It’s so hard not to find sand everywhere in beach condos but none here but on all the beach supplies left for guest to enjoy. All the extras were a pleasant surprise. Even though we didn’t get to use this trip it was great to even see fishing pools and a tackle box, carts to go to beach and all types of beach toys. The beds were so comfy and the condo was surprisingly quiet. The lazy river and small pool were perfect. Nothing was crowded and we even had the pool to ourselves multiple times. The couch wasn’t my favorite, but the kids loved it and found it a good spot to fall asleep when watching scary moves late at night. We will be looking to book again with Salty Vibes!

Great family trip!

Had the best time with family. The condo had EVERYTHING we needed and more. With toddlers we appreciated the beach toys, beach chairs, tons of towels, new boars games. There was a pack n play, rounded coffee table (great for our new walker), plates and utensils for the kids along with wine opener and glassware for the adults. The condo was immaculate and ample space for the two couples and children. We definitely will be coming down again and rebooking here ! Shawn answered all of our questions instantly and communicated everything so our trip was perfect!

It has been a lifelong dream of mine to own a place at the beach. In 2020 and 2021 my wife Linda and I were able to purchase two dream homes. We plan to enjoy these amazing properties as much as possible. When we are not using them, we want you and your family to be able to enjoy this wonderful area. We don't want to be just the normal short term rental company, we want to provide a first class experience for our guests in every way!

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

The view, spaciousness and amenities. While most people focus on the gulfside, which has such great access to the beach, we love the bay side just as much. With the lazy river I personally could float around in all day, the hot tubs and pools. What really drew us to this particular unit, was the view. You can lay in the master bedroom and look out over the bay, dock and pools. We also loved the size of the unit, with 3 bedrooms and a full size laundry room.
