You feel like you can reach out and touch the ocean from the private beachfront balcony at this 2nd floor Florence condo. If you enjoy reading and watching the waves or just chilling out, this is the place for you. The stairs is an easy option from this 2nd floor unit, an elevator is also available. The beach is just a short walk from the condo through the gated pool area.
This one bedroom unit features a king bed, a twin bunk bed alcove built into the hall and a queen sofa sleeper in the living room. It has room to sleep a family of 6.
The newly remodeled kitchen is fully equipped with all you need for preparing meals during your stay.
Beach umbrella, anchor, chairs, boogie boards, & small cooler are provided for our guests to use.
We are located toward the north part of the island between Clayton's and Wanna Wanna. Walking distance to many places but away from the noise and crowds.
The island has a free Metro bus that picks up right in front of the building and runs until 9:00 PM.
Pet friendly. Pet fee and Pet Agreement required.

Security Dates: $25 ID Wristbands are required for each guest over the age of 10 during the following times: Spring Break Texas week, Easter weekend, Samana Santa, and Independence Day Holiday weekend. Please reach out for current security dates if you are booking around these dates. This cost pays for security that is hired during these times.
A rental agreement is required and will be sent to you for digital signature after booking.
All guests must adhere to the rules of the building.

The place was perfect for what we were looking for. The process of arrival and checking out was easy. The place in itself is very nice, clean and has every thing that we need! My husband and I are already planning of going back! We just love the view, the convenience of being near with everything but nice and quite.

This property had. 9.8-star rating when I booked. I do not book VRBO properties under a 9 star. Oh my goodness was I surprised upon check-in. I would give this condo a 10-star for location, but only 5-stars for the property condition. Large cracks on walls, peeling paint, huge crack in bathtub, completely cracked & taped mirror closet door, hard hard mattress in bedroom, no sheets for pull up couch, poorly stocked kitchen.We had a great time, it's just not what I expected from a 9.8-star from VRBO.The balcony, beach, lap pool & hot tub we're very enjoyable.

Great Location

The location was perfect, direct access to the beach, the view from the balcony was beautiful and relaxing. We were happy it was pet friendly, being at the second floor it made it easy to use the stairs to go in/out with our dog. We had a great time, highly recommend it.

Beach paradise

Everything was as seen in pictures. Beach was amazing as was the proximity. Only issue we had was dog hair on couch with no vaccuum to clean it up. Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend.

Good stay

Took wife to SPI for her birthday and short break, condo and building was nice, right on beach and both clean and well cared for. Only complaint is the furniture was a little uncomfortable. Bed was comfortable but noisy.

Fantastic location and view!

We expected a beach front condo but didn’t expect how completely awesome it was to have quick access to the beach with a spectacular view! So close to area attractions and even the IGA grocery had everything we needed. Definitely October is the best time to come!! Make sure to bring your own shampoo/conditioner, soap/body wash and hair dryer. You will need to bring/buy your own

Fantastic condo and location

My wife, dog and I had a fantastic stay at the Florence. The condo was perfect for us, once we got the door code figured out, everything else was super easy. Parking was a breeze, luggage carts were super handy getting everything up in one trip. Kitchen and amenities were great. One of the best things for us though was just the proximity to everything we wanted/needed to do. The beach is right there! It's also a 6 min walk on the beach to Wanna Wanna if you want some snacks or live music. Even walking to Claytons in the other direction wasn't that far. Everything is close and super dog friendly which was a must for us. We loved our stay and would book again without hesitation.

The location is stunning! The A/C is great along with the dehumidifier. Lots of towels and beach supplies. The unit is very quite with an excellent patio door. There were a few concerns - There needs to be an oven mitt. I recommend at least one days coffee for the supplied coffee maker. The mirror closet door was cracked top to bottom with just clear tape holding it together. There are no spices. One sample size shampoo for 2 people for 4 days is not sufficient. The microwave light was out. The small kitchen size does not allow for a dishwasher. The tall, king-size bed was nice. Televisions were nice. Communication was probably the biggest challenge. I texted the male at the bottom of the welcome sheet about no coffee for the coffee maker and got no response. I did receive several e-mails before we arrived, but no welcome text upon arrival. When we left, I sent a text stating that we were gone and stated thanks. I got no response from that text either. I try to be very thorough with my reviews to benefit future tenants and the owners. I hope this was helpful. Overall, this was a very nice place and the dog loved the area also. We would stay here again. Thanks, Mike

Beautiful views

I spent most of my time on the deck because of the gorgeous view of the ocean. This condo was comfortable and I really loved the large TV in the living room. I needed a repair on the toilet while I was there and Laura responded promptly and it was fixed within hours. i gave this condo a 4 for one reason, maintenance. The sliding door in the bedroom closet was rusted and wouldn't stay on the rusted tracks. This was present when I checked in and should have been noticed and taken care of long ago. I didn't report this while I was there as I didn't want to [put up with the door replacement. I just left it open. Overall the condo was liveable. I think it is best for one or two people or possible a family with smaller children.

Excellent location

The building is right on a nice beach, pet friendly, and with pool, SPA and plenty of hoses to clean feet and paws after the beach. You can walk to bars and restaurants or drive just a few minutes. Location is about 5 to 10 mins drive of most boats docks (dolphins watch, parasailing...), and from Sea Turtle Inc, birding and nature (alligators & more turtles), bird watching trail. There's everything you need in the condo, except for a dishwasher. King size bed is all right, a little noisy when one move. Linen were smelling clean and fresh when we arrived. Decor is beachy and nice. AC and dehumidifier works fine, they are a little noisy, being right next the Master, but they always are anyway! Ceiling fans are working well and are silents. Condo is an end unit on one side, so only 1 neighbor next door. You're on the first floor so it's a quicker access to the garage and the beach and you still have a nice view of the beach and of the sunrise, just one flight of stairs and no necessary a need to wait for the elevator if you can walk the stairs. But if you are on a lower floor, you barely can hear the people on top of you, which is exceptional in condos! The plus is that there's no one under your feet, only the garage, so you don't bother the others and have no complains. The condo needs some work here and there due to its age, I saw some comments from reviewers, but you're on vacations, it's not your property, just enjoy the beach and overlook the details! We did enjoy.

Amazing view

This was not a five star accommodation but it is a five star view from the balcony. I also liked the walk way down to the beach and multiple showers and hoses to rinse sand off. The condo was decent but not great. Closet door was really hard to open and the bed has a really firm mattress. We personally prefer a soft bed. And living room could have been a little more comfortable. But i liked that we had towels for bathing and the beach and they did provide beach chairs, beach umbrella and boogie boards and even sand toys. I would be good with staying at the Florence again but maybe a different unit. The beach access and view more than made up for the few inconveniences. Oh and apparently the elevator breaks down on a regular basis although it only broke down once while we were there.

Loved It

We came for a friends wedding. The condo was amazing with an even better view. Nothing like drinking your coffee on the balcony in the morning and watching the stars at night. Loved our stay so much we brought our kids on the next trip. Highly recommend.

Enjoyed the stay

I enjoyed the stay at the Florence l. The condo was clean, smelled good (clean), and was bigger then what it showed in the picture. The bed was not broken like how other reviews showed. The best was comfy & clean sheets. There was plenty of pillows and extra in the closet. The bed was a king size. The tv in the room worked good & it’s a smart tv. Then in the restroom was bigger then the picture which was good. The hallway had two bunk beds which they were comfortable my teen son & six year old slept on the top. My nine year old slept on the bottom. They loved it. The kitchen was a good size came with dish soap, there is plates, cups, and utensils you can use. It even has a pantry. It was way better then what we expected. The sofa in the living room turned into a bed which was great. The tv in the living room was a s mart tv you are able to sign into Netflix or Disney. The tv has cable. Wi-Fi is offered as well. The closet in the room has a broom that you can use if needed. The closet also has toys for kids like a bucket & shovels to take to the ocean. There are wave surf boards you can use as well but you need to return. Also there are chairs and umbrella you can use take down to the beach. The best part was the ocean view. I loved being able to sit in the patio enjoy the ocean view at whatever time. Having beach access was a great idea. On the second floor there are a washer and dryer. Bring your quarters and if you don’t have them guess what they take Apple Pay. You see maids coming in cleaning rooms once they guest check out. I enjoyed the stay it was really clean & did not smell bad at all. Make sure to check your email under lodgix for more information. You get a confirmation on your payment and reservation. The only thing is you do not get directions to check your email & it being sent under lodgix. The property manager Laura always answered her phone & helped out. Helped directing me going to the lodgix email. Laura was very helpful & answers any questions you have. Definitely coming back to this condo next time we come to South Padre. Last year we stayed Baha Mar which I was not a big fan of so this why I looked into Florence. Florence condo made our vacay amazing!

Gorgeous View

From the time we arrived until the time we left we really enjoyed the amazing view this property had to offer. Not only was it as clean, it also has easy access to the pool and beach! The only issues we had was the restroom door did not lock and some of the knifes need to be replaced but other than that, we all had an amazing time. Thank you again and we will be sure to visit again.
