Mission Bay Stay

Loved the location, and ease of getting in and out of the unit once you learn what you're doing. Great view from the patio. Stayed in July with 72-74 degree weather and did not need the optional AC unit. Bedroom has a good fan and window you can open, and the balcony sliding door can be left open to cool the unit. Close to the trash chute which is nice, and easy access to the bay. Only downside, is the couch is the stiffest most uncomfortable thing I've ever sat in, and the internet didn't work reliably while we were there. However you are in San Diego, so you should be spending a minimal amount of time on the couch and TV.

What an excellent location and condo. We stayed in Paul's condo before and during the US Open (golf) tournament. San Diego was a very busy place that week, but Paul's condo was a quiet place to return to every night. The condo was exactly as viewed on the internet, no surprizes at all! Perfect Getaway

We loved our time at the condo. With 2 kids, 12 and 9 this was perfect for a quick getaway. The remodeled unit was perfect for our family of 4. I appreciated how much was available for us to use while we were there. There were beach chairs, surfboards, bikes and variety of beach toys. The kids definitely took advantage and used almost everything. With the unit being right on the sand we spent a whole day just relaxing by the water. I have already recommended this exact unit to several friends and family, because of how comfortable our stay was this week.

Vacation with husband before work weekend

The property was very clean and nice finishes. Getting into the property takes a little more effort than most VRBOS's I've stayed in. It would be helpful if there weren't multiple codes/keys to get in. It also would have been nice to access beach from the property instead of walking down the street. Overall, we had a great time. Nice beachfront area and boardwalk and so close to everything.

Great property, great location!

We arrived to a newly renovated condo and it is beautiful. Well appointed, comfortable bed, close to everything from the ocean to grocery stores and restaurants. It is perfect to view sunsets over the bay. Items of note: read the check-in and check-out instructions. There are lots of numbers and specifics from key access to elevator access to door access. Parking is tight, so be aware if you get a large vehicle.

I fell in love with the location and the balcony overlooking beautiful Sail Bay. It's my favorite location in all of San Diego!This quiet upscale bay front area is the very convenient and the perfect scenic location for visiting San Diego.

The dining/game table with 4 swivel chairs sits right by the sliding glass doors which open 8 full feet for capturing the feeling of dining "al fresco." Dimmable recessed lighting lets you have as much or as little light as you want as do the convenient remote-controlled blinds. Relax in the swivel recliner or settle in on the new sofa after a long day of sightseeing. The 50 inch smart TV featuring YouTube TV streaming channels sits above a reflective crystal fire-glass natural gas fireplace creating a comforting and romantic ambience. A queen Murphy bed easily pulls down from the mirrored wall right next to the sliding glass doors, giving you the sensation that you are sleeping over the water. Wake up to the soft morning colors and watch the sea birds play at the water's edge. Make some coffee in the Keurig (K cups provided) and sit out on the balcony that hangs over the sand to watch as the bay comes alive with the UCSD women's rowing team cutting quietly through the glassy water and early morning walkers and joggers pass by on the boardwalk below. If additional sleeping room is needed, the back of the sofa folds down and the bottom half slides out and pops up to make a 70" X 70" square bed in front of the fireplace and TV.


The open style kitchen with a bay view features cherrywood cabinets, stainless steel appliances, crystal blue and turquoise geode glass tile backsplash with natural quartzite countertops and a 'no hands' faucet. All the amenities you need for cooking and eating at home have been provided and three bar stools sit at the kitchen counter. There is a large desk/working area across from the kitchen.


In the bedroom, you'll get a good night's sleep on the new high-end king hybrid mattress. The bed is set on an angle against a custom rock corner wall with quartzite shelves. The 43 inch smart TV features YouTube TV streaming channels. A ceiling fan and dimmable ceiling lights add to your comfort. There is an optional portable AC unit in the bedroom closet that can be set up for those very rare warm nights when the usual breeze off the water flows in from the desert instead (Santa Ana winds).
The renovated bathroom features dual sinks set in turquoise quartz countertops, a heated toilet seat with bidet features and a large oval tub/shower combination. We have installed three grab bars in the shower/tub and 1 grab bar next to the toilet for your safety, convenience and accessibility.


There is a laundry room on each floor with credit card or coin operated front loading washer and dryers and a trash chute. It's just 25 feet (or 12 steps) down the hallway. The half-underground parking area has designated parking space(s) for each condo and the cabinets in front of our condo's parking space hold plenty of beach chairs, boogie boards, sand toys, umbrellas and coolers. We provide two beach cruiser bikes for riding on the miles and miles of boardwalk around 4000 acre Mission Bay Park and the 3.5 mile boardwalk along the ocean.


Riviera Villas Condominiums is a 22 unit building situated on the quieter East side of beautiful Sail Bay (the loveliest part of Mission Bay)! You will have a magnificent view of the sunsets with the activities of the bay in the foreground; kite-boarders, small sailboats, water skiers, catamarans, etc. Yet, you are only 12 minutes from San Diego's bustling downtown historic Gaslamp area and Little Italy, both with their fine dining establishments, 1.5 miles from SeaWorld, and within 15 minutes from the lovely Balboa Park with the famous San Diego Zoo and it's fabulous collection of museums and botanical gardens.


It's just a 10 minute stroll around the bay over to Pacific and Mission Beaches with their wide boardwalks to watch the surfers, play in the waves or catch a sunset. On a cloudless evening you might even catch a glimpse of the elusive green flash just at the exact moment the sun sinks into the ocean.


Vacation rentals in San Diego are for the most part, second homes for the owners. Therefore, some furniture or decor may differ from what is pictured because the owners needed or wanted to replace something. It is important for you to read all the details about your property. We highlight everything you need to know about your vacation rental in our listing, through emails, some home manuals, in-home signage and phone correspondence. We want our guests to feel prepared, informed and at ease while staying with us. We are always available if you have questions!


Upon confirming your booking, we will send you a rental agreement for your upcoming stay which you will need to complete. We will also contact you within 24 hours of the booking to obtain contact information and to address any questions or concerns you may have regarding your upcoming visit along with the House Rules & Rental Agreement. The check-in details will not be shared until the rental agreement has been signed.


Attention Guests: In addition to completing our electronic rental agreement, you will also be required to participate in our identity verification process. The service is offered through Autohost; an intelligent guest screening software that automates ID verifications, background and credit checks, security deposits and more, helping to improve guest experience and safety. If you have never stayed in a vacation rental before, we are not a hotel, WE ARE BETTER! We offer many of the same luxuries of a hotel with the comfort and space of home to share with your whole family. Our property owners are our friends and we work with each owner to offer a special, specific and ideal environment for guests to experience and enjoy. With that said, we need you to do your part in helping us maintain each home. Please be attentive to ALL RESPONSIBILITIES as a guest of our home. *We provide 2 complimentary bikes for our guests. If there is any issue with the bikes we will do everything we can to fix the issue with our maintenance team, but there will be NO compensation if the issue cannot be resolved.


We like our guests to feel at home as soon as they arrive! We provide a ‘starter kit’ to help our guests get settled without needing to rush off to the store.


Our kits include: paper towels, toilet paper, shampoo/conditioner, soap, linens, towels, kitchen sponges, dish soap, laundry detergent and fabric softener, dishwasher soap when applicable, trash bags, either Keurig coffee makers with k-cups or standard coffee makers, extra blankets, sometimes extra pillows, extra sheets-for sleeper sofas, hair dryers, ironing boards, kitchens fully stocked-enough for max occupancy with some extra settings, toasters, some waffle makers, blenders, tool kits, first aid kits, fire extinguishers, co2/fire detectors, and most homes have heat available.


While on vacation, we want our guests to enjoy their vacation to the fullest and we feel in order for our guests to do this, they should also feel informed. Our emails serve to educate you on your vacation rental home, the surrounding area, responsibilities, what to expect and how to get in touch with us. We respect your privacy so our emails help provide you with all you need to know to reference as you please.


In addition, most of our properties have House Manuals detailing specific information about the property, amenities and responsibilities. Not to mention an awesome section on attractions, events, restaurants and more to help guide you during your stay in San Diego!

Guests have access to the entire condo, parking garage and coin operated laundry located on the same level.


Customer service is a high priority to us. We like to make sure you have what you need before you arrive and get settled into our home. We are available whenever you need us, 7 days a week and after hours!


Crown Point


We recommend a car for navigating San Diego, but public transportation is just a couple blocks away. If you`re planning to stay put in Pacific Beach, there is no need for cars! Just ride our provided bikes or walk the neighborhood.

Holiday 2024 Policy:
6 night minimum AND Saturday check-in is REQUIRED during our holiday season (December 21-January 4). One reservation CANNOT take both holidays, unless it is a 2-week reservation. There are no arrivals OR departures on Christmas or New Year's Day.

Summer 2024 Policy:
Beginning Memorial Day to Labor Day, Saturday to Saturday is required with 6-7 night reservations. On July 4th 2024, check-in or check-out is NOT permitted. An arrival on a Friday or Sunday may be possible, please inquire if your group needs accommodations that are different as we may be able to accommodate you.


Nightly Minimum Policy:
4 night minimum required in the off season.
6 nights AND a Saturday Check-in is REQUIRED during peak season (June - August). Arrival on Friday or Sunday instead may be an option.

Arrival/Departure Policy:
Check in time is 3 pm and strictly enforced. (From Memorial Day through Labor Day, check-in is at 4pm)

Please follow all instructions for your arrival and departure in our email and phone call correspondence. There is signage around the home to assist with the use of amenities and questions that you may have during your stay. We are available too, even after hours-give us a call!


Pet Policy: Pets are NOT permitted.


Rate Policy: Prices change on a daily basis so the rates you see today may be higher or lower when booking!
