We are excited to announce that the Summer House Homeowners’ Association has recently passed a $24 million construction project to take place over two years (2023-2025). This project will not only bring our buildings back to their original glory, but to a new standard. Some of the construction line items include replacement of stucco and waterproof barriers on both buildings, replacement of any compromised rebar and original waterproofing materials, replacement of all sliders with hurricane proof sliders, replacement of exterior front doors and windows, replacement of the railings on all balconies, and repainting of the entire property just to name some of the larger items that you may notice in the next two years.

Building “A”, our building, will have construction beginning on April 1, 2024 through May 23, 2025 with a smaller construction crew in June, July, and a few weeks in August in which owners will be able to rent their units without the threat of heavy construction noise and debris to interfere with summer travelers. There may be light construction noise during the summer as our building's front facade is being repaired and updated.
Should the construction timeline change, we will notify any affected bookings immediately. While we would hate to disrupt someone’s vacation, we must keep guests safe and as worry-free as possible during their time at Summer House. At the end of this project, Summer House will once again be a premier property ready to take on the next 40 years of visitors to our little piece of heaven in Orange Beach.

Our unit: Beautifully updated West corner unit with wrap around balcony. Plenty of space for your family to spread out and enjoy all that Summer House and Orange Beach have to offer. Most furniture, mattresses, lighting, etc. has been updated in the past 3 years.

The living area contains all you need for relaxing after the sun goes down. Play some board games with the family or catch your favorite shows on tv. Plenty of seating for all to enjoy, and a pull out sofa bed for extra sleeping space. 3 sliders in the living/dining area make patio living a breeze. Make a happy hour cocktail at our mini bar complete with acrylic stemware, so that you can enjoy the afternoons on one of the largest balconies in Orange Beach! There are slider style walk-outs in every room!

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for delicious family meals with stainless appliances and a commercial ice maker! We have all the comforts of home, including a coffee maker, blender, crock pot, pots & pans, tons of utensils and all the dinnerware you need so no need for paper!

The gulf front master bedroom is elegantly equipped with a King bed, new mattress, and plenty of drawer and closet space to unpack and stay awhile! En suite gives you the privacy you crave to relax after a day of sun and sand in our walk in shower.

The queen bedroom has new queen furniture and mattress, and plenty of storage and closet space to contain all of your beachwear!

The "bunk room" can sleep 4 and would delight anyone with bunk beds, trundle, and a separate single bed as well. Large closet makes keeping your clothes within easy reach super stress free!

Parking is by permit only. Each guest is allowed up to 2 guest registration certificates for parking. These are purchased through our HOA office across the street or through the guard at the guard shack for $50 per vehicle.

Not that anyone wants to do laundry on their vacation, but a full sized washer and dryer in the unit makes throwing a load of laundry in super easy!

Summer House is known for its large balconies and fantastic amenities. Enjoy our gulf front pools, indoor pool & hot tub, fitness room, sauna, grill area, tennis court, basketball area, and gulf front grassy space.
