Clean room, friendly staff, well maintained property, well stocked kitchen, ocean view. The only negative is there was no beach with sand. I guess in the summer there could be.

The views are amazing. Great corner location. View of ocean and pool. The kitchen was well stocked for utensils and cooking pots and pans. Bed was very comfortable. plenty of beach accessories. Lots of daytime construction noise. Pool was close and great. Elevator operated well the whole time. As older people, we enjoyed the grab bars in the bathroom area, toilet and shower. We rented for two weeks. There was no re-stocking of towels, coffee, toilet paper etc after the first week. Management company told us to wash our own towels and buy our own other supplies. If it was a one week rental they would have to re-stock all those items after one week plus clean the entire unit. The management co. was responsive to two small repair issues. Bathroom sinks don't drain very well. Sun shades in living room need replacing. The shades don't work well.

Love the location unfortunately the air conditioner in the living room was out. It took three days to fix it, but the property management compensated me so that was really kind bought me lunch so I couldn’t have been more satisfied. It just would’ve been nice not to have a warm room, but what the heck you’re in Hawaii open the windows enjoyable

Perfect location

Papakea is located close to several restaurants and shopping. Views of the whales, during season, are right out from the lanai. Washer and dryer in the room is a bonus.

Fabulous View

The view of the water and listening to it every night was amazing. The condo was comfortable and a place you could enjoy without even leaving.

Fantastic and Relaxing

Our favorite thing about this property was watching 3 baby whales' antics every morning and evening from the lanai, just like playful puppies breaching and slapping their tails and waving their flippers. This corner unit was just perfect for our needs. We will rent here again.

Beautiful place to stay and loved the oceanfront view

The property was very nice and enjoyable during our stay. We would stay again if they cleaned it a little better. The host brought us a new broom to help us clean up. I would find a way to have the garbage can under the sink instead of open in the kitchen. The bed was nice, however either needs a new mattress or protective cover.

Corner Room - Perfect

The corner room and Lanai were perfect every morning to drink our coffee, hear and see the crashing waves and people watch. The sunsets from the Lanai 🌄 were amazing. I will be framing some of my pictures. We saw a beautiful rainbow 🌈 also. This is a quiet property, wish they had a bar and restaurant though.

excellent service and response from property manager

The room was very nice and comfortable. A couple of times I had to call the property manager with slight problems. I was always greeted warmly and the efficiency of the staff and representatives who came to our unit were both very impressive.

There was some sort of pump running in the bathroom closet every 20 minutes. Kept us up at night.

Right on the ocean!

Looked exactly as pictured. The lanai was awesome, room for two loungers and a table. Stayed in December and was able to leave the sliding glass doors/windows open all the time and even though the bedroom is in the back, was able to hear the ocean all night long. There is a place with coffee and great pastries (Cruzin' Cafe just a block away). Also loved Honokowai Okazuya which was also walking distance; great to grab take out there and eat on the lanai. There is a back entrance for pedestrians and cars to the property which was nice since this building was a little ways from the main entrance. Great beach about two hotels away (5 minute walk). Pools were nice, but not shaded.

The view the people the island this hole place was amazing and all ready trying to figure out my next stay here and I recommend 2weeks cause 7 days for us was not long enough. The picture of the place does not give it justice I recommend this place to everyone, we’ll be staying here again and again.
