Take your choice any time of day whether to walk one block to the beach, or walk the other way a block to the Carolina Beach dinghy dock for an Intracoastal Waterway experience. Every guest's independence is key at Patriots Place, a single-family home with enough space and privacy for up to four families to go in any direction they please. Luxuriate in our custom beach house nestled into a charming small neighborhood setting with high-end appliances and furnishings, comfortable bedroom suites, and 360 views. Entertain in style in the large great room for cocktails and mealtime, or escape into one of the luxurious bedroom suites when you want a bit of downtime, and enjoy your deck in your jammies. With two kitchens, two laundry rooms, two living rooms, and generous parking, you and all your family and friends will want to become Citizens of Patriots Place! 



Ground Level:

Private covered parking for 3-4 vehicles, size dependent.  Two exterior stairways to Level 2 entry doors, front and back. Outdoor Shower. Sand Foot Hose. Rented Golf Cart charging is acceptable.



Level 2:

Guest Sofa Sleeper Bedroom: Full-size sleeper sofa, 2 rocking chairs, 50-inch smart TV, partial kitchen with sink and microwave.

Large Oceanside Deck: Just off of the bonus room with access to the ground level.

Washer and Dryer: Located in the hallway.

Guest Bedroom 2: Private access to Sound-facing deck, ceiling fan, queen-size bed, Smart TV, Ensuite bathroom with vanity and shower/tub combo

Full Bathroom: Located in the hallway with vanity, shower/tub combo 

Guest Bedroom 3: 1 Bunk bed with Twin over Full, plus a twin Trundle. Smart TV.

Rental Policies:

In response to the increased incidence of credit card fraud, a valid government photo ID will be required for every reservation. A signed rental agreement is required: accepting House Rules on any online travel agency requires reading and acceptance of our rental agreement.



Linens: Sheets and Towels are provided by a professional linen service in sealed sanitary packages which will be lying on the top of the bedspread.



Arrival/Departure:

Summer Check-Ins (June-August) begin at 4:00 pm and are guaranteed by 6:00 pm

Check Out is by 10:00 am

We adhere to this policy so please do not arrive early early or plan to delay your departure.

No events such as weddings, bachelor/bachelorette parties, sororities/fraternities

No Smoking



Pet Policy:

Dogs Only, no other pets allowed. Up to two dogs 80-pound weight limit. Extra Fees Apply for the second dog.



Cancellation Policy:

We want to make sure you’re aware of our cancellation policy. If you cancel when your arrival date is more than 60 days away, you will receive a full refund.  If you cancel when your arrival date is less than 60 days away, you will forfeit your deposit.

Adventure awaits. Discover aquatic wildlife and vegetation at the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher or enjoy a relaxing ferry ride across the Cape Fear River to a quaint little shopping town called Southport. Take a trip back in time at the Fort Fisher State Historic Site and Museum which features live oak-covered trails and bunkers from the American Civil War. Stroll through the marsh to visit the home of the famous Ft. Fisher Hermit. Or wind down with nature at our two state parks, sure to provide a memorable experience with hiking, fishing, and water activities such as paddle boarding and kayaking, and search for a Venus Flytrap which is native to NC only. As one of North Carolina's most undeveloped beaches, the island offers a unique opportunity to see many diverse coastal wildlife, including pelicans and loggerhead sea turtles, in their natural habitat. Whether it’s exploring activities on the island, enjoying the ocean views, or enjoying a cocktail by sunset from your own private balcony, Pleasure Island offers diversion for every enthusiast!

Explore the treasures of Carolina Beach, ranked one of the top 10 boardwalks in the country by Food & Wine magazine. One of the last remaining beach boardwalks on the East Coast, it includes a variety of restaurants, an arcade, shops, ice cream, Famous Britts Donuts, bars, and more! During the summer months, the Boardwalk is bustling with the sound of music, carnival rides, bingo, family nights, and events like the weekly fireworks and concert series. Annual off-season events include the Cape Fear Kite Festival, Christmas by the Sea, and the Island of Lights Festival.

Exploring the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher, home to incredible coastal wildlife, or take the scenic car ferry across the Cape Fear River for a relaxing visit to the charming town of Southport where quaint streets are filled with unique antique shops and galleries. History lovers can walk the scenic, live‑oak‑lined trails of the Fort Fisher State Historic Site, where Civil War bunkers still stand. Nature enthusiasts will love the island’s two state‑managed coastal preserves: Carolina Beach State Park, home to rare Venus flytraps found naturally only in this region, and the Fort Fisher State Recreation Area, known for pristine beaches, marshes, and wildlife viewing. Both offer beautiful opportunities for hiking, paddling, fishing, and spotting pelicans or even nesting loggerhead sea turtles.

Getting Around:

Getting around Pleasure Island is a breeze! While parking can be limited in peak season, especially in popular spots, paid private or public parking is available. We recommend exploring Carolina Beach and Kure Beach on foot or by bike – they're super walkable and bike-friendly. You'll find safe pedestrian and bike routes, including the Island Greenway. Renting a golf cart or bike is easy, too, with several local rental companies. Golf carts are one of the easiest ways to cruise around the island. Rentals are simple to arrange, and once you're behind the wheel, you can zip along any road posted 35 mph or under.
