The Cozy Cottage was a great base for our Acadia NP vacation. Close enough to all of MDI. Many thanks to the hosts for sharing their cottage with us. Was just as described. This is a lovely place to stay away from the traffic of Bar Harbor. It's sooo clean and inviting and the hosts are amazing. My husband and I are 70 and 72 and the loft bedroom didn't bother us at all. But if you aren't fit and active, the loft ladder may be a problem for you. We would definitely stay there again.

Loved this place! Super cozy and peaceful and nice. Close enough to all the places we went :) My fiance sprained his ankle a few days before our trip so the ladder to get to the loft bed wasn't ideal but that was no fault of the place- just something to note if you have any issues climbing! 10/10 would visit again.

This sweet space has all you need to rest and reset after exploring Acadia. Everything was incredibly clean, the beds were comfortable, and amenities were up to date. We were grateful for every attention to detail.

The absolute perfect getaway

This place was absolutely perfect for us!! The location was awesome - super remote, out in the woods, far enough away from everything that it was quiet but within 15 minutes we could be in a number of cute little towns. It was clean and the bed was comfy. Everything you could ask for! We went to several places the host recommended and they were all awesome.

The host was very accommodating and friendly. We made a last minute change to our itinerary and they didn't skip a beat to work with us to adjust our stay! The house was very clean and had everything we needed. Highly recommend booking at Misty Mountain Retreat!

Beautiful Cottage

This was the perfect quiet place on the island, but also close by bay harbor and more touristy spots. The hosts were absolutely amazing! They answered any questions I had immediately. They provided a detailed book with great suggestions on things to do on the island. The pictures don't do this cottage justice! Exceptionally clean, convenient, and beautiful!

My partner and I stayed here for our trip to Bar Harbor to spend the weekend in Acadia. The space was very quiet and easy to access. We booked here as it was a better fit for our budget but I would say there was a downside of having to drive 25mins to Bar Harbor every time we went for meals or the park. Overall a nice quiet spot for a weekend stay. I will advise they do not have an iron so bring one with you!

Perfect for what we needed. Great place out in the countryside to stay at if heading to Arcadia National Park. The property manager was very helpful and nice. Highly recommended!

Excellent yet very quiet location

We used the cabin as a base for our visit to Acadia. It is very conveniently located so that visit to the north and south of the island is very easy. In less than 10 minutes you can get to a nice beach and watch the sunset. Local restaurants are also close by to grab local lunches and dinners.

Perfect Little Cottage

This is the perfect little cottage for two. It was wonderfully located near a small grocery store, a short drive from Acadia National Park and the Bar Harbor area. It was private and just absolutely lovely. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a great place to stay near Acadia.
