Beautiful condo!

We loved our stay at this condo and resort. Beautiful condo with an amazing view. We don't always like to go back to places we have been before but we would definitely stay here again! Paula was great to work with and was easy to communicate with.

beautiful place

The unit was just as beautiful as advertised. The beds were very comfortable and the huge deck was wonderful. We had some issues. There was no dishwasher in a unit this expensive. The toilet in the master was running and would not flush. Checkin was awkward as the hotel does not have keys. You have to checkin with the hotel but you het your keys from a bellboy named Miguel. Also we could not figure out til the second day how to use the stove or the tv sound system. Great place but the owners need to make it more friendly to visitors

Thanks Mike for your comments; I finally convinced the owners to install a digital door lock because of this unnecessary incident and we are very sorry about this. Unfortunately, there is almost no dishwasher in Velas condos and not mentioned in our description. We hope to welcoming you back at Velas. Paula

We LOVED our stay at this vellas penthouse! The terrace was so nice to enjoy morning coffee and evening night caps; the views were spectacular. The unit was fully equipped with everything we needed to enjoy a 7 day stay! Listing was very accurate. Will definitely book again.

We loved the condo and view. When we arrived everything was clean and tidy. Paula met with us the following day, there was a few repairs that had to be done, she had this completed immediately, any concerns she answered our email quickly, she was very easy to work with. There are a few things that could be done, a long mirror in the bedroom, a fan in the bedrooms would be nice, we never used the air conditioner ,more towel hooks in the bathroom, the deck is in need of some repairs, but overall a great condo with lots of room. The kitchen was well equipped with newer appliances ad lots of dishes.

Paula was great. The Penthouse Wonderful

Ok, let me level set upfront. If you are looking for a brand new hotel penthouse Suite this is not it. It is a owner occupied residence in a resort that gets rented out. So it will show its age as some have noted. However, if you go in with this expectation, you will love it. The views are magnificent. The place spacious and perfect for a family or group of six. The complex is wonderful. Everyone who saw our pictures of the unit, its views, the complex and our experience were jealous. And most of all, Paula is incredibly accommodating and responsive (something missing, there the next day. Need suggestions, email to follow). Thanks Paula.

Not What We Expected

We were disappointed in our stay at this condo. It is in need of overall maintenance, a deep cleaning and updating. (The condo is wrought with cracked tiles and stained surfaces. The terrace chair cushions were barely useable as they show years of bird soiling on all sides. The master bathroom has no shower door. The couch in the living room has no stuffing left in any of its cushions. The faucets in the hall bathroom were all broken so that bathroom was not useable....) The condo sits directly above the main resort pool where the DJ's oversized speakers blast music and announcements throughout the day. The condo walls and terrace floor pretty much shake/vibrate all day long. *We specifically asked about the condo location before we booked as we knew that it is adjacent to the busier resort pool. We were assured that noise is not a factor. This is simply not true. In addition there was construction going on in the condo next door during our whole stay. The hammering started at 8:30 am and on some days went until 6:00 pm. The condo is spacious and the view of the ocean from the terrace is breathtaking. Once the pool speakers were turned off for the day and the construction noise ended, we were able to enjoy the outdoor space. We went on some wonderful excursions around Puerto Vallarta that departed from the marina which is down the street from Velas Vallarta. So we made the best of it. But nevertheless, the nature of the condo was not what we expected from the VRBO description and pictures shown.

FIRST, IT WAS OUT OF OUR CONTROL THAT MAINTENANCE WAS DONE NEXT DOOR, ALSO IT IS TOO BAD THAT YOU ADVISE ME TWO DAYS ONLY PRIOR YOUR DEPARTURE FOR THE BATHROOM PROBLEM; HOTEL MAINTENANCE WAS THERE AS SOON YOU ADVISE ME BUT WE NEEDED MORE TIME TO SEND OUR OWN MAINTENANCE AND WE NEVER BEEN ADVICE BY THE RENTERS BEFORE YOU WHO LEFT THE SAME DAY OF YOUR ARRIVAL. MEASUREMENT FOR NEW CUSHIONS WAS DONE FOR LEAVING ROOM AND WILL BE CHANGE SOON WHEN CONDO WILL BE AVAILABLE.. PICTURES ARE RECENT AND THE SAME AS THE CONDO IS. AS A COMPENSATION, WE GAVE YOU A FREE CLEANING FROM HOTEL MAIDS DURING YOUR STAY, A LATE CHECK OUT UNTIL 3:00PM AND FREE TRANSPORTATION BACK TO THE AIRPORT, USUALLY NOT INCLUDED FOR OWNERS GUESTS. HERE IS COMMENTS FROM OTHER GUESTS WHO WERE THRE SORTHLY BEFORE YOU AND WROTE DIRECTLY TO ME : Hi Paula, Sorry for taking so long to get back to you. Our stay at Velas Vallarta #4418 (Apr 10-14) was absolutely fabulous! For the five of us, it may have been a little too spacious, but we loved it nevertheless especially because of the large balcony with the incredible views of the water, the city, and down to the resort. We're starting to think about vacationing in PV again next year, and if we do, we want to stay in 4418 again, so don't be surprised if you hear from me again. Back to Velas Vallarta

We have stayed at Velas Vallarta a number of times and at this condo a number of times. The resort itself is a short drive from the airport and a cab ride from downtown. Velas is near the marina which is definitely a nice perk for location. The vibe of the resort is friendly and fun. The grounds are beautiful. This particular condo has a wonderful terrace that provides a great view of the mountains and the ocean. It is private and large enough to accommodate the entire family. The condo is spacious on the inside and comfortable. It provides everything we need. Paule is professional and a pleasure to work with. We love PV, Velas Vallarta and this condo.

Family Spring Break

A little late in submitting my review, but I wanted to say what a wonderful vacation we had with our 3 children (5, 14, 15) at the condo and Velas resort. We stayed for a week at the end of March, first time renting, and Paula was great to work with. Very responsive for any questions and minor maintenance issues, always available by phone or email during our stay. The condo itself is very spacious and comfortable, and fit our family perfectly. The balcony is amazing, we were out there everyday, and used the grill 2-3 times. We also very much enjoyed the resort, the kids enjoyed the beach, ocean, pools, ping-pong and various wildlife on the grounds. We walked to the Marina for dinners and to the grocery store for supplies. We would definitely stay here again, and hope to book another trip soon - thank you!

Stayed here for the first time this year. Was a little apprehensive about this as we had always gone through a travel agency. I need not have worried. Everything went off without a hitch. Great Place to Stay

We spent a week in this spacious condo - plenty of room for my spouse, myself and 3 adult children. The best balcony in all or Puerto Vallarta! Really enjoyed Velas Vallarta - great location, attentive pool and hotel staff, very friendly guests. Beds were comfortable. Paula was very helpful both before we got there, and once we arrived.

Dream Vacation in Paradise

We stayed for 7 days. 4 adults. very spacious unit with an incredible view. very comfortable and quiet unit. watching the sunset was a treat. Paula met us to introduce us to the unit and all its amenities. check in and check out went smoothly. we did use the $99 per person per day all inclusive. food was fantastic. breakfast buffet at La Ribera was fresh with many selections of tropical fruits, juices, hot selections and made to order eggs. the nightly theme dinners at Andrea were delicious. thank you Paula! we really enjoyed this piece of Paradise.

WE STAYED IN THIS UNIT FOR 10 NIGHTS THE LOCATION IS WONDERFUL NEAR THE MARINA WHERE THERE ARE PLENTY OF RESTAURANTS AND LOCATED RIGHT ON THE BEACH. THE VIEW FROM THE BALCONY IS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL SUNRISES, SUNSETS, YOU GET TO SEE THE CRUISE SHIPS COME IN AND WE SAW SEVERAL WHALES AND OTHER BOATS AND ACTIVITIES IN THE WATER. UNIT COULD HAVE BEEN A LITTLE CLEANER AND PERHAPS A COAT OF PAINT WOULD DO WONDERS. THE OWNER MET US AT THE UNIT UPON ARRIVAL AND WENT OVER THE DETAILS SHE WAS VERY HELPFUL. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS UNIT AS IT'S A BEAUTIFUL PLACE.

Great Christmas Holiday with the Family

Spent a fantastic week with my spouse, and three adult children at this spacious condo. We've been to PV many times through the years, and stayed at various hotels & condos but, this was the best yet! Not only was the condo comfortable & roomy- as was the huge patio, but the facility itself was great. A number of activities to do at the pool (water aerobics, zumba, bingo- activities for small children) three pools to choose from & two nice restaurants in the facility. Paula was great to work with & we are definitely going back. No need to have a drink from a patio in town for the sunset, you have your own view nightly at the condo. Just a great combo!!!! Thanks for everything.

Perfect place for view and fun

We like this rental unit for it's spectacular terrace, location and views. Unbeatable! HOWEVER......the reason we return year after year is the friendly and helpful Velas staff. We have been escaping northern winters for more years than I care to reveal, and we have never found better! This particular unit is part of the Velas complex but has a private owner. More importantly, Paula is the private property manager for this unit. So you have the best of both worlds. You have Paula and the staff taking care of you! No time-share confrontations come with this unit! Not within the Velas complex, anyway. FYI, after leaving customs, don't stop for anyone in the PVR airport, just keep walking until you feel the sun on your shoulders! They are time-share disguised as transportation. All part of the fun! It's all good because, 10 minutes from the airport, you'll be sitting on your ocean front terrace, cold drink in hand, whale watching. Thank you, Paula, for another great Winter!

Velas Vallarta Oceanfront condo

We had a wonderful week at the condo. It was well kept up and very clean and had just about everything we needed. The patio and view of Puerto Vallarta was absolutely stunning. We enjoyed the resort and all it had to offer. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. While the area in the Marina is fun, we went into PV quite a bit. It's only $8 for a cab ride into downtown for 4 people. Had some great meals in PV. Our favorite was the Vista Grill up on the hill in PV overlooking the town and bay. The food is wonderful, expensive but well worth it, especially at sunset. Also good was Archie's Wok - very good and different Asian food, and La Palapas, Both are downtown in the Romantic Zone. Paula was great to work with. She had everything ready for us and answered any questions we had. We definitely stay again when we come back to PV.

Velas Vallarta

We had such a great time at Velas Vallarta, this was our second vacation at Velas. My two kids (4 and 6 year old) loved the pools and kids activities. The condominium was in excellent conditions, the view was fantastic. New Year's party was the best at the beach, with delicious mexican food and music. We missed to have a washing and drying machine and cleaning service.
