Las Alas means "wing" and it was named after the shape of the unique roof, which was created in the shape of a butterfly. This property started off as an original homestead and has been lovingly designed over the last 10 years to the home you see now. We think it is the perfect place for a relaxing desert adventure, quality time with family or an intimate get together with friends.
We welcome you to stay with us at Las Alas and look forward to hosting your next trip!
This is the mid-century desert oasis you have been looking for. Our beautiful home is located minutes from the Joshua Tree National Park entrance giving you all of the comforts of home while being surrounded by boulders in the incredible Joshua Tree hills.
The open concept of Las Alas allows for beautiful views in every direction and a ton of natural light to pour through the entire home. Las Alas has 2 bedrooms, each with attached bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, dining area and living room with large glass sliding doors to help invite the outside, inside. All the furniture has been picked with great care - most of the items are Danish mid-century modern and are minimal in effect to keep the home inviting and comfortable.

There will be a rental agreement sent out that will need a signature to complete the reservation

Pets off all kinds are NOT allowed.
• ROADS
This property is located on about 5 miles of dirt roads to get to the property.
• DIRECTIONS
Please make sure to follow the directions so to avoid getting stuck in any sand pits as the property is located down a long dirt road. A 4x4 won't be necessary to easily get to the property.
• A/C / Heater
Las Alas is cooled and heated by a brand new central air conditioner and heater.
• WASHER/DRYER
Las Alas has a washer and dryer available to guests that are staying with us for an extended period of 3 or more days. If you are traveling with an infant or young children please let us know and we will give you access to the laundry room.
• FIRE
Due to the location and a current fire ban there is a strict no outside fire policy. If it is discovered that you have started an outdoor wooden fire, in a fire pit, using fireworks or other open fire means your rental agreement will be terminated and you will be asked to leave.
• GUESTS
You are not permitted to have any guests on the property beyond those included in your rental agreement unless you request and receive permission from us. That includes day guests and over night guests.
• IDENTITY VERIFICATION
You will receive a text or email from Guest Ranger that will ask you to verify your identity and submit a picture of a government issued ID and a selfie. This information will be used to verify that the booking guest matches the credit card used and to help reduce any issues with identity theft. This process is mandatory to complete the booking. The data is protected in a hash-encrypted vault following data security standards including GDPR. Data-input in the vault is encrypted in a two-way function where information is scrambled using an encryption key and unscrambled later using a decryption key. On top of that, we use hashing to add an extra layer of security using a one-way function where a unique message digest is generated from an input file or a string of text. No keys are used.
By renting this property, guest acknowledges that they have read, understand and accept the terms listed above.
