Deep Woods Escape is like being at your own private luxury resort that is surrounded by nature and only 7 miles from town. This 4500 sq ft spacious cabin is nothing short of breathtaking with a touch of modern mixed and unique rustic detail, it is country sophistication at its best! So MANY activities for every season.

Take relaxing soak in the hot tub, splash in the 40' heated pool, unwind with a drink at the indoor or outdoor bar, snuggle up by the fireplace, roast smores or tell ghost stories at the outdoor firepit, sit on one of the many decks or patios drinking coffee and watching the sunrise or listen to the pure enjoyment coming from your friends, family, kids, grand kids or co-workers. Play ping pong, billiards pool, horseshoes, washers, sand volleyball or one of the many board or card games. A Fabulous Place for a Family Reunion

I have rented many homes since the 1990’s and this is easily one of the best. If your looking for a place that can handle many people, lots of space and plenty of room to play, have fun, and cook this is the property you need to consider. It has three kitchens. The main kitchen has more than the customary cooking utensils and gadgets including multiple ovens, mixers, toaster, crock pots, baking supplies, along with all the little gadgets to make preparing and serving a meal for a large group of people quite easy. It is also very secluded so you can stay up late and the pool and hot tub is open 24 hours a day.

Beautiful property with a resort feel conducive to what our group needed

Emma was a communicative host and provided all necessary information about he house, its rules, and components. The backyard consisted of a volleyball court, an outdoor bar, a hot tub, excellent seating space, horseshoe, and a bathroom. The inside space comfortably fit 23 people with the three provided rollout beds. Downstairs, the bar and recreational activities were a great time. The upstairs kitchen was very organized and the dining area was very spacious. Would definitely rent out this property again.

As always - amazing family vacation

This was our fifth year renting from Emma, and our first time staying at the Deep Woods Escape — and all we can say is WOW. This home is nothing short of incredible. For the first time, we had a dining table large enough to fit our whole group, which made mealtimes feel extra special. The "dorm" room in the basement was a huge hit with our family. Everyone who stayed there raved about how cozy and private it felt — once you were in your nook, it was easy to forget anyone else was even in the room. It was the perfect solution to finally ditch the air mattresses! The outdoor space was equally amazing. We gathered around the fire pit every single night, even in the middle of July — it was such a memorable way to end each day. Emma always thinks of everything, and this house was no exception. From a well-stocked kitchen to an abundance of pool towels, we had everything we needed for a relaxing and fun getaway. With daily (and nightly!) swimming, those towels were key! All in all, another fantastic vacation thanks to Emma. We can’t wait to come back!

Your own private resort

We were an extended family (infants to adults) getting together for a long weekend. The house is exactly as described and as the pictures show. The absolute best VRBO home we have ever stayed in! The house includes everything you may ever need and would have to go buy at other rentals. The space was ample and we were all able to sleep comfortably in a bed or a rollaway bed provided. There are plenty of towels for the pool and hot tub. We spent so much time outside in the back yard swimming, grilling and sitting around the fire in the evenings enjoying smores. This is the best private resort for total relaxation! We will be back!

Super Bowl weekend

We stayed with a group of friends over the superbowl weekend. We have stayed here before and we loved it just as much the second time as we did the first. Rang in 2025 in Deep Woods Bliss

This house was beyond expectations. The host was so attentive when needed and the little details made us feel so welcomed. We had a group of 16 ages ranging 9 to old.. when we entered the home there was a snack tray, s'mores box, and Shirley temples for our group. Dance party music was playing on the speakers throughout the house. ( This was targeted towards our kid/teens which we requested) The kids had their own bunk room that holds 9. The house was so clean and has everything you can imagine. We used every square foot of this house. The hot tub and pool were used from sun up to sun down. We had pool tournaments and ping pong tournament. We had a warm fire and s'mores on the outdoor patio. We were all able to cook and share meals sitting at the same table together. We rang in the new year all gathered in the huge living room. We could not have asked for a better time.

Excellent Experience!!

From the start of booking, Emma worked one on one with me to make sure we had the best experience possible. We had a group of girls for a bachelorette and every person had endless compliments about the house and overall experience while being there. Being a group of girls, we were "over prepared" with what we thought we would need but it turns out Emma is just as prepared plus some!! The house had absolutely everything you could think of needing plus more. The house is also so beautiful with so many activities that we were scared we wouldn't be able to enjoy each location enough in just a weekend's time! Will definitely be booking again and look forward to working with Jemma Properties again in the future!!

Great vacation!

Last year or whole family stayed at Hillside Hideaway and had a fantastic time. This year we decided to try Deep Woods Escape and we definitely were not disappointed. Everyone had the best time ever. The pellet grill and the outdoor kitchen were constantly in use. The pool couldn’t have been more perfect. We could barely get the grandkids out to eat or go to bed. The house was gorgeous and the accommodations were perfect. Emma was always available to send a text to if we had questions. Hope to go back someday.

Three Generation Family Gathering

Everyone from Grammy (age 77) to little Mac (age two) had fun bonding with siblings, cousins, in-laws, parents, grandparents--and even spouses--during our three-night stay. The pool was a huge hit, and with six kids under ten, the ability to cover the pool when not in use was great. There are bathrooms (and towels) galore! And oh, so many refrigerators! Plenty of room for the "way too much" food and beverages we brought. The kids LOVED the bunk room, and were so tired out from swimming, playing in the sand, and eating s'mores around the fire at night, that they hit the sack without complaint. That enabled the the adults to enjoy sharing family stories while the fire burned down. Everyone commented on how comfy the beds are! This is our second stay, and although the Deep Woods Escape can accommodate many more people, it was the perfect size to give us lots of room for "me time" while offering inviting spaces for family time. The compound has ample parking and is private, woodsy, rustic, very clean, well-appointed, and comfortable!

Extraordinary Stay at Bauman's Deep Woods Escape

This house goes way above and beyond for comfort and charm! Everything was top-notch from the welcoming charcuterie board with local meats and cheeses to the outside tiki bar. Especially liked that our group of 13 could all sit at the dining table and enjoy our meals together. So many extras were provided: grill, smoker and wine refrigerator in the tiki bar, a large, covered outdoor pool, sand volleyball court, pool table and ping pong table and so much more! Our group loved staying here so much that we never left the property over the long eclipse weekend. Our hosts were so friendly and welcoming! I highly recommend staying at Bauman's Deep Woods Escape!

Birthday weekend

We stayed at the property for a long weekend for my 30th birthday celebration in February. Emma was amazing to work with! From greeting us and showing us all the ins and outs of the place beforehand so we had minimal to zero questions through the weekend to letting us text/call with any issues. The heated pool and hot tub were clean and perfect even during the cold weather. All the rooms and bathrooms were clean and had everything you wanted in them. The outdoor kitchen and grill were amazing to have and we used a lot. The place has everything you could need and want for a weekend away to relax and have fun. We are looking forward to another trip!

Excellent!

Our family of 13 fit into this home like a glove! Plenty of together time at the gigantic kitchen table and living room, and plenty of time to be off on our own to read & relax on the front porch, back porch, game room, outdoor kitchen or pool. We got lucky with the weather and swam every day as a group with plenty of pool toys for all. The babies & 3-yr-olds were worn out at days end! Also watched a beautiful storm move through from the large, comfortable back porch. The owners are wonderful!!

Family Christmas

We held our family Christmas here. 13 people, 7 adults and 6 children. We spent 6 days here. People played pool, ping pong, games, swam and we grilled outside. This house has everything you would in your own home! One day I hosted our huge family gathering of 40+people, plenty of room, it was nice outside and inside and once again everything is provided at the house. I would recommend this house to everyone. Perfect Staycation!!!

We planned our First Christmas Staycation at this beautiful property for 8 adults and 8 children (from 1 - 16)! This place is the best ever!!! Upon arrival, I was greeted by Joe whom was very accommodating and personable and showed me around to explain all of the extra special amenities! We certainly enjoyed the Sonos Music System as well as the locally made sausage, garlic cheese and wine! What a nice surprise! We had more than enough room for everyone to be comfortable! We stayed for 3 nights and everything was perfect!! The amenities that are provided by Emma and Joe are absolutely second to none as there was nothing that they didn’t provide!! Thank you for decorating for Christmas as it was extra special for us The entire property, inside and out were well equipped and super clean! We all enjoyed not only the home but the outdoor area with hot tub, fire pit, outdoor kitchen, sand play area, horse shoes and of course the glorious covered and heated swimming pool … everything was awesome! There was so much at our “resort” that kept everyone entertained including the pool table and ping pong inside as well as all of the games provided! I would highly recommend this awesome experience to anyone that is looking for PERFECTION for your next get away, this is the place! Hats off to you both Emma and Joe, for providing the perfect Staycation Experience! We enjoyed it immensely and hope to return again next year as it is centrally located for all of our immediate family!!

Beautiful home!

We booked for a long Girls weekend and we couldn't have been happier with the property and amenities. The location and home are beautiful and so well equipped. We literally couldn't have asked for anything more while we were there. Emma met us on site and went over all the details. She was wonderful to work with. Great

We have stayed at this property for several years now. It’s beautiful it’s clean. They show you how to turn everything on and everything off. What the Ladd girls like best about it, fits us perfectly, there’s plenty of places for everybody to sleep. We love having the private pool right there that we can just walk down to not have to share one with a bunch of other people I can’t rave enough how we really really enjoy staying there. Everything we could have asked for plus more

The deep woods escape aside from being stunning it offered a 10/10 experience. while staying here, our entire group could really tell how thought out and careful put together this place was to host us! our first impression was truly phenomenal! the host greeted us with a drink, a snack, and our choice of genre in music! every detail was very much so noticed! Off the bat, you could tell the host thought of everything guests would want/need. They made sure we came to an extremely clean house, as well as offering crockpots (plenty), having a medicine cabinets, plenty of shampoo/conditioner/body wash, hair styling tools, and even toothbrushes! We enjoyed all the outdoor amenities this place has to offer, from the pool, hot tub, volleyball court to the amenities inside like the pool table, the bar, and the ping pong table! this place was absolutely perfect for our large group and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Emma was also great at communicating with me so it made things easier! I definitely would love to go back!
