Deep Woods Escape is like being at your own private luxury resort that is surrounded by nature and only 7 miles from town. This 4500 sq ft spacious cabin is nothing short of breathtaking with a touch of modern mixed and unique rustic detail, it is country sophistication at its best! So MANY activities for every season.

Take relaxing soak in the hot tub, splash in the 40' heated pool, unwind with a drink at the indoor or outdoor bar, snuggle up by the fireplace, roast smores or tell ghost stories at the outdoor firepit, sit on one of the many decks or patios drinking coffee and watching the sunrise or listen to the pure enjoyment coming from your friends, family, kids, grand kids or co-workers. Play ping pong, billiards pool, horseshoes, washers, sand volleyball or one of the many board or card games. Blast your favorite song on the Sonos wifi speaker system (yes, I said blast the only people you are going to bother are the ones in group).

Favorite Family Hideaway

This is the second family Christmas we have had an opportunity to enjoy at the Deep Woods Escape. Emma goes out above and beyond to assure a prefect environment for our celebration! The decorations are spot on the atmosphere makes it feel very much like home. Thanks again for such a fantastic experience!

Beautiful property with a resort feel conducive to what our group needed

Emma was a communicative host and provided all necessary information about he house, its rules, and components. The backyard consisted of a volleyball court, an outdoor bar, a hot tub, excellent seating space, horseshoe, and a bathroom. The inside space comfortably fit 23 people with the three provided rollout beds. Downstairs, the bar and recreational activities were a great time. The upstairs kitchen was very organized and the dining area was very spacious. Would definitely rent out this property again.

A Fabulous Place for a Family Reunion

I have rented many homes since the 1990’s and this is easily one of the best. If your looking for a place that can handle many people, lots of space and plenty of room to play, have fun, and cook this is the property you need to consider. It has three kitchens. The main kitchen has more than the customary cooking utensils and gadgets including multiple ovens, mixers, toaster, crock pots, baking supplies, along with all the little gadgets to make preparing and serving a meal for a large group of people quite easy. It is also very secluded so you can stay up late and the pool and hot tub is open 24 hours a day.

Super Bowl weekend

We stayed with a group of friends over the superbowl weekend. We have stayed here before and we loved it just as much the second time as we did the first. The owner makes things easy for those who stay from her communication with you to the checkout process. The amenities are amazing. We had a great time and we will stay again!

Your own private resort

We were an extended family (infants to adults) getting together for a long weekend. The house is exactly as described and as the pictures show. The absolute best VRBO home we have ever stayed in! The house includes everything you may ever need and would have to go buy at other rentals. The space was ample and we were all able to sleep comfortably in a bed or a rollaway bed provided. There are plenty of towels for the pool and hot tub. We spent so much time outside in the back yard swimming, grilling and sitting around the fire in the evenings enjoying smores. This is the best private resort for total relaxation! We will be back!

You will want for Nothing

This place is amazing! They thought of everything that we would possibly need and their hospitality was above and beyond. It was perfect for our family of 15 with small children. The kids had so much fun in the bunk room.

Amazing As Always

This stay was just as amazing as the first year when it was completed and done. We were expected to see some wear and tear from the past two years but we didn't notice anything. It was perfect! The cleaning and grounds crew do an amazing job taking care of the place and Emma makes sure you feel right at home.

As always - amazing family vacation

This was our fifth year renting from Emma, and our first time staying at the Deep Woods Escape — and all we can say is WOW. This home is nothing short of incredible. For the first time, we had a dining table large enough to fit our whole group, which made mealtimes feel extra special. The "dorm" room in the basement was a huge hit with our family. Everyone who stayed there raved about how cozy and private it felt — once you were in your nook, it was easy to forget anyone else was even in the room. It was the perfect solution to finally ditch the air mattresses! The outdoor space was equally amazing. We gathered around the fire pit every single night, even in the middle of July — it was such a memorable way to end each day. Emma always thinks of everything, and this house was no exception. From a well-stocked kitchen to an abundance of pool towels, we had everything we needed for a relaxing and fun getaway. With daily (and nightly!) swimming, those towels were key! All in all, another fantastic vacation thanks to Emma. We can’t wait to come back!

Extraordinary Stay at Bauman's Deep Woods Escape

This house goes way above and beyond for comfort and charm! Everything was top-notch from the welcoming charcuterie board with local meats and cheeses to the outside tiki bar. Especially liked that our group of 13 could all sit at the dining table and enjoy our meals together. So many extras were provided: grill, smoker and wine refrigerator in the tiki bar, a large, covered outdoor pool, sand volleyball court, pool table and ping pong table and so much more! Our group loved staying here so much that we never left the property over the long eclipse weekend. Our hosts were so friendly and welcoming! I highly recommend staying at Bauman's Deep Woods Escape!

Great vacation!

Last year or whole family stayed at Hillside Hideaway and had a fantastic time. This year we decided to try Deep Woods Escape and we definitely were not disappointed. Everyone had the best time ever. The pellet grill and the outdoor kitchen were constantly in use. The pool couldn’t have been more perfect. We could barely get the grandkids out to eat or go to bed. The house was gorgeous and the accommodations were perfect. Emma was always available to send a text to if we had questions. Hope to go back someday.

The 11 of us had an incredible long weekend! The house lived up to all the hype even though the weather didn’t cooperate! Hot tub, pool, smoker, incredible kitchen, pool and ping pong, etx! Beautiful home!

We booked for a long Girls weekend and we couldn't have been happier with the property and amenities. The location and home are beautiful and so well equipped. We literally couldn't have asked for anything more while we were there. Emma met us on site and went over all the details. She was wonderful to work with. If you are coming to the area I highly recommend!! Also check out the Trolley for the winery tour while you are here. Our long weekend was perfect and complete with fires, smores and memories!

Perfect home for family bonding!

We had an incredible time at the Deep Woods Escape! the home was spacious, clean and loaded with extras. Our family really enjoyed all of the home…we played sand volleyball, swam, made s’mores at the fire and did evenings in the hot tub. The inside was equally impressive. The bunk room was great for the kids and they loved playing pool and ping pong in the lower level. We made so many great memories we will cherish! Excellent!

Our family of 13 fit into this home like a glove! Plenty of together time at the gigantic kitchen table and living room, and plenty of time to be off on our own to read & relax on the front porch, back porch, game room, outdoor kitchen or pool. We got lucky with the weather and swam every day as a group with plenty of pool toys for all. The babies & 3-yr-olds were worn out at days end! Also watched a beautiful storm move through from the large, comfortable back porch. The owners are wonderful!!

Birthday weekend

We stayed at the property for a long weekend for my 30th birthday celebration in February. Emma was amazing to work with! From greeting us and showing us all the ins and outs of the place beforehand so we had minimal to zero questions through the weekend to letting us text/call with any issues. The heated pool and hot tub were clean and perfect even during the cold weather. All the rooms and bathrooms were clean and had everything you wanted in them. The outdoor kitchen and grill were amazing to have and we used a lot. The place has everything you could need and want for a weekend away to relax and have fun. We are looking forward to another trip!

Excellent Experience!!

From the start of booking, Emma worked one on one with me to make sure we had the best experience possible. We had a group of girls for a bachelorette and every person had endless compliments about the house and overall experience while being there. Being a group of girls, we were "over prepared" with what we thought we would need but it turns out Emma is just as prepared plus some!! The house had absolutely everything you could think of needing plus more. The house is also so beautiful with so many activities that we were scared we wouldn't be able to enjoy each location enough in just a weekend's time! Will definitely be booking again and look forward to working with Jemma Properties again in the future!!

Family Christmas

We held our family Christmas here. 13 people, 7 adults and 6 children. We spent 6 days here. People played pool, ping pong, games, swam and we grilled outside. This house has everything you would in your own home! One day I hosted our huge family gathering of 40+people, plenty of room, it was nice outside and inside and once again everything is provided at the house. I would recommend this house to everyone.
