Welcome to Sand Dollar Cove at Kingsmill! Enjoy a relaxing stay in this gated, private community. This neighborhood boasts walking trails, playgrounds and access to the beach of the James River, which can be seen from the deck. First floor living with a microwave, mini frig, basic utensils and plates, a Keurig, guest wifi and a smart TV give you all the comforts of home. High-quality linens await you, with extra blankets and pillows for your comfort.

Minutes from the property you'll find Busch Gardens, Water Country USA, Colonial Williamsburg, Harris Teeter, several local and chain restaurants, many public golf courses and much more.

Your hosts, Mike and Jaymie, want you to enjoy your time away and provide initial coffee pods, cream and sugar, and other little touches to give you everything a hotel could offer with the warmth of a private rental.

The Kingsmill RESORT pools, the Health Club, and Lazy River are restricted to Kingsmill Members only, and are not included. However, the following can be accessed by any of our guests:

Beautiful and Peaceful Setting

This unit in Kingsmill was just as it was pictured and described in the VRBO ad, plus it was clean, attractive, and had a comfortable bed. We were visiting Williamsburg mid April for a friend's memorial, so we were happy to be away from the hustle bustle of some hotels in the area, yet close to the attractions if we desired that. The entire neighborhood that this unit is in is gorgeous; extremely well maintained and beautifully landscaped. This unit is a very short walk to the James River marina area. Though this unit does not have access to the resort amenities, we thoroughly enjoyed just gazing at the very wide river and taking in the peaceful environment. At the water's edge there is a beautiful indoor/outdoor restaurant/bar (James Landing Grill), open for late afternoon/evening drinks and dinner, which we think is open to the public, even if not staying at units that are part of the "resort" at Kingsmill. We would definitely stay at this unit again, as long as the price remains as reasonable as it currently is.

Nice Complex, Nice Clean Unit

This is a very clean and nicely decorated unit.This is a very large room, however. The owners described their unit accurately, but we are pointing this out as in this case the word "condo" is more a legal term than anything else, and may confuse some people. This unit consists of a very large, clean and well-maintained room. It looks like it was recently redecorated. The decoration of the room is very nice and really cute. The chairs in the sitting area are very nice and comfortable and looks to be pretty new. The carpet is very clean, and also looks pretty new.The bathroom has a huge shower with very good water pressure. The water pressure in the sink needs a little help. A towel rack might help as well.The beds are very comfortable, and the sheets are soft. The bedspreads are really cute, and are coordinated with the rest of the room.It might help if the area with the microwave, fridge, and dishes had a sink, although we can see why it does not, as it would require re-plumbing the area. We were not comfortable with doing dishes in the bathroom sink.The owners were very nice. We talked to Jaymie several times because we had trouble getting into the unit. (It was out fault, not hers - we failed to follow her very detailed instructions.)Overall, we would be very happy to stay here again but we would like to find out if the owners had another unit with a kitchen.Thank you!!

Great place to stay!

My parents stayed at this condo so that they could be close to us during the Thanksgiving holiday. It was nicely decorated and very clean! They loved the location and view off of the back patio. Great place to stay!

Adequate but not special

We enjoyed our stay at this property, but feel it was photographed in way that slightly misled us. The furnishings are different than the ones in the photo. And I believe that the photo may have been taken with a wide angle lens because it does not look as big as Shown. Additionally, it would be helpful to have a night table on either side of the bed with a lamp on each to make reading at night easier. The bathroom was clean in the shower was pleasant, but we couldn’t open the door to the back outside because the screen was off the slider and we were concerned about getting bugs and Berman in there. I think the owners are trying, but I think that a little bit of rehab would be helpful here.

Our 2024 Getaway

We were unable to rent the attached unit and decided to give the smaller room a try. It was all we needed and very cozy. We had a great time relaxing, shopping, walking, etc. and will be back again soon.

Perfect getaway spot

Really great quaint hotel room with amenities. The room is overlooking the James River with beach access at the marina, which is just a few steps away. The resort is situated in a gated community with plenty of walking trails and nearby activities. Private small porch on back of building with chairs and table. Room has a beautiful walk in shower and a nice little area with a small fridge and a Keurig, there is unfortunately not kettle to boil water for tea, but we have an electric kettle at home that we brought with us, along with our personal toaster from home - so we could have English muffins when we first woke up in the morning. Room comes with towels, no hair dryer in room. There is a great big tv along with 2 very comfy beds and a small sitting area! I would definitely come back here in the future if I ever go back to the area. Lots of really amazing restaurants and sights to see nearby.

Beautiful location. Would recommend.

The location was wonderful. The unit was cute, clean and supplied with most that we needed. It would be great for a weekend stay but we were there for a week and having no "living room" to kick back and relax and watch tv at the end of the evening after a long day exploring was uncomfortable. We were aware in advance but we didnt think it would matter that much. The unit had everything we needed. Towels, comfortable bed, clean room. The only issue we had while there was one showerhead didn't work. Just the handheld one in the middle of the shower. I'm just glad we weren't taller lol. I would very much recommend this place. It was great overall. Setting on the porch and drinking coffee watching the river was our favorite place while at the unit.

We are a family with lots of kids in various stages of life. Rarely can all of them come with us, but when they do, there's something for everyone!
