Newly renovated cottage and dock on the lake

You will never want to leave this beautiful lakefront cottage with its own private dock and double jet ski EZ dock. If you prefer to bring your own boat, this is the perfect location as there are several marinas within 10 minutes of the property. On site there are 2 kayaks and 2 paddle boards available to you during your stay. The paved walkway down to the lake is a gradual slope and easy access for all, making this a great choice for guests of all ages! The house is beautifully updated and has a fully stocked kitchen for your convenience. There are 6 beds available, sleeping 10 comfortably. The newly added master suite has large windows facing the lake and a beautiful porch. Relax in the shade of the porch as you take in the perfect lake views from a custom made bed swing, or enjoy the sun as you sunbathe on the dock or lower deck! This cottage is nestled in a deep water cove, just minutes from big water. “God’s Country”, aka our Clemson Tigers Stadium and Clemson Marina, is a mere 15 minute boat ride or about 20 minutes by car. Additionally, grocery shopping is easy with stores within 8 miles of the lake house. Lake Hartwell is a wonderful place to visit. With over 690 miles of shoreline, it is perfect for a short or long getaway! This charming cottage with easy lake access and incredible views will not disappoint! Please note this is a NON SMOKING property.

The Best Week in a beautiful home

My husband and I had the best week celebrating our 2nd Anniversary! The home and the dock are beautiful and so clean. It was simply the best trip and we couldn’t have asked for a better home to stay in. The owners were so nice and accommodating! The best lake house we have stayed in so far and we will be back! Clean, Well Stocked & Peaceful!

Stacie and Matt's property was the cleanest and most well stocked VRBO we have stayed in! My son is allergic to pet dander, so I reached out to Stacie before our trip to make sure there were no pets in the house. She was quick to respond, understanding, and did additional cleaning (although no pets are ever in the house) just to make sure we were comfortable. They have truly thought of everything for this property. The house was spacious enough for our family of six, and was beautifully decorated with quality furniture (the La-Z-Boy couch is heaven!). Everything you need is provided--all kitchen and bathroom needs down to dish washer tabs, laundry tabs, Q-tips, band aids, toilet paper, shampoo, body wash, dish soap, trash bags, etc (and it's enough for the whole week so you don't need to bring extra). They also have games that we enjoyed playing on the porch that overlooks the lake and has an outdoor TV and comfortable furniture. The path down to the lake is not steep like most lake houses. My almost 80 year old dad was able to get up and down with no problems. The dock is also well equipped with kayaks, paddleboards, floats, two wonderful lounge chairs with umbrellas, two hammock style chairs, and a slanted ladder that made getting in and out of the lake much easier for the grandparents. We were able to easily contact Stacie and Matt when we had any questions and they responded right away. Matt even called me before our trip to go over the property. Wonderful place!

Feels like home!

Our recent stay at this beautiful lake house was an absolute delight. The moment we stepped through the door we felt welcomed by this beautifully decorated home with every detail meticulously thought out! It was warm and comfortable and has the coziest beds. The lake view and all the amenities were everything we could have wanted and more! Our Clemson kids said they felt like they were home. We will definitely be going back!

Adorable lake house

This house was great. Exactly as listed and pictured. Owners went above and beyond to be helpful! Impeccably clean property! All the reviews were accurate about the beds being very comfortable. My only wish is that we could have parked our bass boat under the covered dock. Will be back!

Hospitality beyond comparison

This charming lake cottage in the foothills of SC checked all the boxes and provided the perfect "home base" for our Fall vacation adventures. The owners left no stone unturned. From the warm personalized welcome on a message board, to the tastefully warm and beautifully decorated interior, to a cozy outdoor living space with fireplace overlooking Lake Hartwell...this VRBO experience was by far the best! There were so many extras...it felt like we were staying with family. The level of hospitality was beyond comparison.

Awesome!!

The house was beautiful, very clean, well decorated and stocked with essentials that many other rental homes are not- like dish soap, detergent and garbage bags. It’s even better than we expected. The owners were lovely to deal with. Great location for a Clemson game, close enough to be there quickly but far away enough from the crowds. My children ages 9-18 made use of the kayaks and paddle boards. We all enjoyed the porch, the setting is beautiful. I would highly recommend staying at this house!

Great place to relax

We visited our Clemson student daughter for her birthday weekend. This was a great spot to have family over for a day on the lake and spending time together. The layout of the home , the decor and the lot are all as described and were great! The gentle slope to the lake was great access. We want to come back next year!

A Wonderful Lake House

We loved staying at your beautiful lake home! The covered deck with the huge swing was so nice every morning! The nice little walk to the lake was so easy and beautiful! Great Stay

Our family of 5 had a great experience staying here. The patio was everything we hoped for. Our 3 young kids had a great time playing in the yard and the lake was an easy walk down the paved sidewalk. We rented a boat and docked it on the side of the deck. The area of the lake is a nice and calm. Very close to the big water as well. Indoors was exactly like the pictures suggest, clean, spacious, well stocked, and homey. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay and already miss the patio swing!

Great Stay

The house was even better than expected. It was very clean and taken care of and had a ton of nice personal touches. The kitchen was stocked much better than other homes we have rented and we found everything we needed. Beds were comfortable in all of the rooms.

Pictures do not do justice to this slice of heaven!

We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend at this property, and wished we would have planned for more time there. The lake view from the peaceful deck was beautiful, and the holiday decorations inside were gorgeous! Pictures do no justice to this home! I had some family over for lunch, and had everything needed in the kitchen to prepare a large meal. The house is so clean, the beds extremely comfortable, and the super hosts kindly provide everything needed to feel like you are home. I can’t even imagine how great this place would be in the summer. We can’t wait to come back. Go ahead and book this place because you will not be disappointed!!!

We came to town from Cincinnati and wanted a place to stay for the Clemson game.

This property was beyond what the pictures showed on VRBO. The house was like something out of a magazine. We truly felt like we were on vacation. My son graduates next year and we Will absolutely stay here next year. I highly recommend this house!!!!!!

Great Stay for a Clemson Game

We stayed hear for a football game weekend and had a great time. We enjoyed the activities on the lake and there was plenty to do...swimming, fishing, kayaking, and haning out on the beautiful outdoor patio. We enjoyed our evenings on the patio sitting around the fire and watching TV. The house had everything we needed and was very clean. Lots of room and big beds for sleeping. Great hosts!

Perfect!

This rental house is the real deal! Where do I begin? The view was spectacular and the large outdoor living space was perfect. I think my father-in-law must have dozed of a few times as he sat on the rocking bench with the cool breeze from the ceiling fan. The house was comfortable, spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. It had everything we needed from fresh clean towels, kitchen ware to a washer and dryer. The water activities and swinging chairs on the dock were an added bonus. The owner added so many personal touches, we felt like family. I highly recommend this place. We are looking forward to our next stay.
