Visitors will find that their daily activity choices are virtually limitless! Would you like to go downhill mountain biking on Mammoth Mountain? Does fly fishing or float tubing for native trout, or kayaking across a warm and sparkling lake to a rope swing sound good? Do you prefer wakeboarding and waterskiing at Grant Lake?… no problem! How do pontoon rentals, a free boat ramp, and 10 cent coffee and popcorn at the Gull Lake Marina sound? Do thousands of miles of OHV trails in the summer, or snowmobiling in the winter catch your attention? If your buckaroos prefer horses, mules, and guides, make a reservation at the legendary Frontier Pack Train for a western trail ride, or book a pack trip deep into the Ansel Adams Wilderness or Inyo National Forest. From this location, avid hikers, backpackers, climbers and mountaineers can access a vast network of trails reaching from Mexico to Canada including the John Muir (JMT) and Pacific Crest Trails (PCT).
