Welcome to our one of a kind beach home in La Jolla. This property is on an oversized private corner lot that is truly one of a kind. Completely remodeled the photos do not do the incredible views justice it is absolutely breathtaking. You can ride bikes to the boardwalk or into downtown La Jolla. Grocery store is 3 blocks from the home as well as restaurants, coffee shops, beach, park and shops.

There is no direct beach access from the property for safety reasons. To access the beach you will walk down to end of block and walk down Tourmaline street to the beach. There is lots of parking there in the lot if you prefer to drive. The beach is great for kids because the waves are mild in comparison to some other near by beaches.

Weekends can be rented with a 3 day minimum during non high season dates. The rate begins at $1,500 per night and varies depending on season and dates. Please keep in mind when inquiring we will get you a quote.

Pool heating is included during high season July & August. During the rest of the year, pool heating is $150 per day and we would need to know ahead of time if you would like us to turn it on.

No parties or additional guests unless approved by owner.

Normal business hours for assistance during your stay are 9-5 Mon-Sat. Any non emergency issues over the weekend will be handled on Mondays.

What’s nearby?
Enjoy the beach or the stretch of shops Bird Rock has to offer on La Jolla Blvd within steps. Some of our favorites include Dodo Bird for coffee and sweets, Paradisaea for drinks and dinner, or Lark & Owl for quick lunch! Other dining options include Don Bravo Grill, Wheat & Water, Lupi Vino Cucina Bar, and more! And for the Starbucks lovers, there’s one just a couple blocks away!

What attractions are nearby?
For the kids, check out San Diego Zoo, SeaWorld, and Legoland. By far one of the easiest and most rewarding hikes you can do in Southern California is the plethora of trails at the Torrey Pines State Reserve in La Jolla (or skip the hike and just hang out at this beautiful beach!). Other attractions include La Jolla Cove, Balboa Park, and The Shops at UTC (the best shopping!).

How close is the home to the village in La Jolla?
The village in La Jolla is about 3 miles away, about a 10 minute drive depending on where you choose to go. For amazing coffee and pastries, check out il Giardino di Lili. Breakfast dining options include Parakeet cafe, The Cottage, Sugar & Scribe, and more. For dinner, our favorites are Duke’s La Jolla & Eddie V’s. Book ahead during sunset hour for the best dinner views!

How long does it take to drive from San Diego International Airport?
It should take about 25 minutes to drive to/from the airport.

How close is the home to SeaWorld?
SeaWorld is about 5 miles away, only an 18 minute drive.

How close is the home to LegoLand?
Legoland is about 30 miles away, a 40 minute drive.

Stunning property

Pictures don’t do the views justice, this is a wow factor property. Nice upscale neighborhood. Beautifully decorated, well appointed kitchen (even has olive oil, basic spices, and Tupperware & ziploc bags for lefotovers), and lots of extra towels, blankets, toilet paper, paper towels. Does not have direct beach access, but is a short walk. Note the walk is hilly. There is also a small parking lot right on the beach that you can see looking down from the property. Easy 20-25 minute drive to most popular San Diego attractions. Washer/dryer in detached garage. Only suggestion I would make to host is to provide check-in/check-out instructions w/ entry codes, Wi-Fi info, trash pick up info, check-out needs, etc. We never received anything and had to contact the host for entry codes. There was nothing on paper once in the house either. All in all a pleasure though, and would gladly stay again!

The location and layout of this property are outstanding. Guests can safely walk everywhere from the beach to food shopping to nightlife. The views, sunsets and surfers are incomparable. The only downside is the cleanliness. There was garbage under the beds and under the bathroom vanities and the sheets and blankets needed to be washed and the propane tanks were all empty for the fire-pit. Fortunately, there is a washer and dryer on-site and a propane place nearby. Also, an instructional manual would have been helpful. ie- garbage pick-up, landscape schedule, etc. Despite these few inconveniences, we would definitely stay here again.
