Charming , newly renovated cottage wIth AC and dock on Copake Lake. Bring your boat to your private dock and boat launch. Enjoy this 2 bedroom (king & 2 twin beds)1 bath nestled in the woods with a short walk to the Lake. Cozy fireplace plus an outdoor fire pit for those chilly nights. Cottage is fully stocked for your convenience. Barbecue grill and picnic table for when you feel like grilling and enjoying your meal outside. Ideal place to be all year round. Lots of activities to be had on Copake Lake. Have cocktails on your dock and watch the beautiful sunsets. If you are a skier, snowboarder, etc we’re convenient to Catamount, Butternut, Windham and Hunter. Minutes away from Copake Country Club for a delicious meal or a round of golf. Take a scenic drive through the Berkshires. This is a place you’ll want to revisit time and time again.

Enjoyable Stay

Well maintained property that included everything we needed for an enjoyable stay including wood for the fire pit. As a bonus the fishing off the dock associated with the property was great.

Perfect for us! Lovely house in a quiet wooded area close to a beautiful lake and private dock. The house offers many amenities and is well-stocked with kitchen and bathroom and living items and supplies. Very comfortable, well-maintained, meticulously clean - spotless! Great location for many athletic, cultural, and culinary activities. Hosts were very accessible and helpful. We spent a wonderful week here.

Incredible stay!

House was very clean and cozy. Has everything you need and we were very comfortable. Really peaceful location. Short walk to dock where they have paddle board, kayak and seating. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a place at Cooke lake.

Perfect cottage in a quiet neighborhood

The whole family loved our stay! Beautiful location, perfect quiet cottage, the fireplace in the living room every night was just what we needed! It was so peaceful looking through the large windows in the dining room during dinner and coffee in the morning. Can’t wait to go back!

Had to go to Taconic state park to swim. Never would have rented if we knew access to.lake was so bad fir swimming.

Thank you for visiting Copake Lake. There is not a beach like area around the lake for swimming. People swim off the shoreline and their docks. I hope you enjoy the rest of your summer.

Great Cottage

This cottage is so clean and nice. We made a fire every night with the wood they supplied and it was so comfy and cozy. The host made the process so easy and it was so quiet with deer visiting us daily.

Perfect spot!

We rented this property for overflow family guests of our daughters weekend. The host Ellen is so responsive and has created a perfect, relaxing place for a getaway or place for extra guests. She has beautifully decorated every room and provides everything you need for your stay. I highly recommend this property and we will definitely book again!

Hillsdale Weekend

This is our 2nd visit to this property. We love the location, great fire pit, colorful leaves and lots of deer. We visited Bash Bish Falls and the local brewery was awesome. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly. We had a very relaxing weekend and look forward to returning.

The house was beautiful inside - it was immaculate and the details were thoughtful and comfortable. The king bed was super comfortable. Everything was perfect. This is such an unassuming house. It was really lovely, and we enjoyed our stay very much. I will definitely plan to stay again.

Beautiful property

What an amazing property this was to stay in. Plenty of space but felt cosy. It was cold and snowy when we stayed so couldn’t take advantage of the proximity of the lake, but did get to use the fireplace. Cottage is isolated enough to feel like we were well away from the city but close enough to where we wanted to visit. Close to Bash Bish falls, Rodger’s Book Barn, Coopers Daughter and, of course, the supermarket and Stewart’s. Will definitely book again for our next trip

Wonderful!

We have enjoyed several stays in this wonderful cottage…usually in the winter. We were so delighted sitting on the porch in the evenings listening to the chorus of frogs by the lake. Absolutely enchanting! Ellen is a wonderful hostess. The cottage is immaculate and well stocked. Hopefully we will visit this cozy cottage again!

Mother/daughter getaway

We had a lovely stay! The house was all updated, well decorated and so clean. The master bedroom was very spacious with lots of windows facing the woods for privacy and a really comfortable king bed. We enjoyed sitting by the dock in the Adirondack chairs as well as sitting at night around the fire pit at the house. The furniture in the house was well maintained and the kitchen was well equipped. We had great cell reception and wifi worked well too! I would definitely stay again.

Super Clean and Comfy

My family of 3 stayed at Ellen’s house for a long weekend to go skiing at Catamount. The house was very clean and cozy. The mountain was less than 20 minutes away, and we were able to drive back and forth to ski easily. Ellen was very responsive and pleasant to communicate with. We hope to return next season.

5 star across the board

There's so many good things we could say...the home and grounds were impacable. Ellen had everything you could possibly want or need. The area is beautiful and relaxing...white tail deer paradise! All the neighbors were friendly and welcoming.We rented a pontoon boat less than 5 minutes away and enjoyed a full day on the lake with our dog. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING

Lovely house

We had a wonderful time at the cottage - spent a lot of time swimming in the lake, cooked a few delicious meals, built a fire in the fire pit. The beds were comfy and the house was clean. One word of warning - beware the deep gully on the right side of the road in front of the house. We arrived in the dark and one of our group, when trying to back up after overshooting the driveway, lodged a rear wheel in the gully. We needed a tow truck to get it out.

A Quiet Reprieve

A very quiet, relaxful few days. Well needed. Definitely too short. The house itself was situated in a wooded area, with a few houses nearby. Occasional local traffic to and from our section of the lake/dock. Beautiful views and easy access from the dock. At the end of the lake away from any faster noisier boats. The house was clean and comfortable. Could have used a second comfortable chair on the.enclosed porch/dining area for reading, with a view. A very pleasant, enjoyable visit. Would definitely return. An unattractive part of Copake Lake

We were hoping for a vacation that included lounging by the lake, swimming, and kayaking. We were able to kayak, but the lake access was a narrow aluminum dock that smelled unpleasant. There were a lot of boats around which also made it unpleasant to contemplate swimming. Copake lake is quite beautiful overall but this corner was frankly depressing . The house was clean and comfortable enough except for a shower that definitely needs a new shower head! Very simple but certainly acceptable for the price. We chose the house because not much was available that accepted pets. We will not be going back.
