Parking Information: For a smooth and stress-free stay, please follow all posted signs and parking regulations in Breckenridge, as enforcement is strict. If you need additional parking, the Town of Breckenridge offers paid overnight options in two convenient locations: 1) south of town at the Stephen C. West Ice Arena, and 2) north of town at the Airport Road satellite lot, which also accommodates RVs and trailers.
Colorado Traction Law: From September through May 31, the Colorado Traction Law is in effect for all drivers traveling on I-70 between Morrison and Dotsero as well as US-285 to Breckenridge . This law mandates that vehicles must be equipped with either four-wheel or all-wheel drive and snow-rated or mud + snow tires. Alternatively, vehicles with two-wheel drive must have winter tires, chains, or other traction devices. Ensuring your vehicle is properly equipped is essential for safe winter driving in Colorado. If you’re renting a car, be sure to confirm with your rental company that your vehicle meets these requirements.
Important Winter Advisory: Please be aware that during the winter months, roads and driveways are likely to be snow-covered or icy, making four-wheel drive (4WD) or all-wheel drive (AWD) essential for safe travel. The property is beautiful, with phenomenal views of the mountains from the back patio. The kitchen was well-equipped and the space had many thoughtful touches. The walking distance (roughly 3 blocks) to Breckenridge’s main strip was a huge plus as well. Would gladly stay again.

House was just what we needed. It had plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen and the patio were really nice. The location is hard to beat. Only 3 blocks from the middle of Main St. Everything is within a short walking distance. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location!
We loved staying right in the heart of downtown Breckenridge for our recent family ski trip! The home allowed room for each of us to gather together while also providing private space to unwind. The kitchen was well stocked with what we needed for a week's stay since we cooked many meals at home. The nearby shuttle stops made it convenient to get to the slopes. We had a great stay and can't wait to return!

Perfect for a large group
Stayed for a girls weekend with 14 adults and the house was perfect! Plenty of bedrooms spread around so noise didn’t carry. It’s an old b&b so everyone could have their own space and (mostly) their own bathrooms. Well stocked kitchen and the location of the house can’t be beat! Made for a perfect mountain weekend!

The location was perfect. Close to Main Street and the free shuttle to ski area. Unusual layout for rooms, but accommodated our party of 14 perfectly. Only drawback was entry not shoveled well. We had one person on crutches due to a ski injury and entry way was treacherous for him.

The photos of this unique home are accurate. Of course, photos don’t provide information about what you’ll hear while staying in this home, like the daily construction noise next door (massive rebuild happening), or the frequent drumming noise from the downstairs bedroom radiator throughout the night, or the sound of your guest’s head hitting the unmarked low-clearance overhead (twice) as they descend the steps from the kitchen into the living room. On the plus side, the location is great - just a couple blocks from Main street and an easy 15 minute walk (in ski boots) to the chair lift accessing peak 9 or, in the other direction, the gondola. Also the host management company was very responsive throughout. They did what they could to remedy our concerns. In the end we had a decent experience staying here for a week. As the management company’s handyman said when responding to our concerns, “keep in mind is that this is a HISTORIC house.”

We sincerely apologize for the inconveniences you experienced during your stay, particularly the construction noise (which is out of our control as it was not a SkyRun project) and the issues with the radiator and low-clearance overhead (we haven't had a guest hit their head before as they would duck if they were too tall, we are truly sorry to hear about your friend).

Perfect location but could use some updates
The home is in the historic district, which is a fabulous location, but being in a historic house has challenges. The house has an odd layout- but works for big parties. There was a great newly renovated kitchen and living room but the bedrooms and bathrooms could use some work. Beds were not very comfortable and the bathrooms were very small and both the bedrooms and bathrooms could use some updating. Overall, the location was definitely the highlight of this home.

Great location - Big house
The house is a very good option for large groups, family or friends. The kitchen is updated with enough pots and pans, cutlery, plates and dishes. Most of the rooms are large but the bathrooms are small (some of them very small). The heaters worked well (we were there for spring break and some days were very, very cold) except for one room upstairs that had an issue with the control panel. Overall, we were comfortable in the house (we were a group of 11), the location is great and the managers were very responsive to our requests.

Review
Perfect for a large group or multiple families. The kitchen and living room area were recently redone and are beautiful, spacious rooms for guests to gather. There is also additional seating on the massive back deck that has a view of the mountains. There are four separate bedroom areas around the house which was ideal for our group of three families. We felt like we all had some privacy, which is rare when several families stay together. The bedrooms have more of a cabin feel than the more modern kitchen/family room area, but they provide plenty of space and are all uniquely decorated with historic Breckenridge pictures. Very cool to stay in such a historic property right in the heart of town. It only takes a few minutes to walk to everything in town, but the house is two streets up from Main Street so you are removed from the hustle and bustle. The location is perfection and we look forward to staying at Abbett Placer again on our next trip to Breck!
