Our Cottage Has Been Serving Guests since July 24, 2017 - Step back to a slower time when people sat on the front porch sipping lemonade & watching lightning bugs... where both conversations and life were slower. At The Bradley Cottage, our hope is that your stay will allow you to remove yourself from the busyness of normal life, to relax and breathe in the southern air while sitting in the rockers on the front porch. Welcome!

The Cottage was completely updated in 2017 and provides a feeling of nostalgia. There is adequate space to stretch out and enjoy your time away. Both bedrooms have comfortable plush mattresses as well as Roku devices to allow you to stream from Netflix, Hulu, etc.. The living room has a smart tv so if you have a Hulu or Netflix account you can use that OR play dvds

The Cottage is located just 4 houses down from Wally's Service Station, a popular attraction for Andy Griffith fans that boasts a gift shop, Mayberry Squad Car Tours, and a replica of the Mayberry Courthouse. Downtown is just 4 blocks away where guests will find popular attractions: Snappy Lunch, souvenir/gift shops, ice cream shops, Andy Griffith Museum and more! All of these attractions are within walking distance. Historic Downtown Mount Airy is one of the friendliest and safest towns in North Carolina.

Our Property Manager Autumn lives onsite in the apartment behind the cottage. Please do not be alarmed if you see her coming or going. She can generally answer any questions that you may have while visiting.

Very charming, clean and comfortable. The bathroom can be a challenge for elderly people, particularly the shower. However, the owner is aware. Overall great place. This was our second stay so it is definitely somewhere we would stay again.

The Bradley Cottage was perfect for our one-night stay in Mt. Airy. The host could not have been more accommodating, providing extras like coffee, tea, spices, etc., and the cottage itself was everything we had hoped it would be. The 1950's/1960's style furnishings and the decorations were "right on" and just adorable. (The beds were not of that era, so very, very comfortable!) We felt like we had stepped back in time. Everything (i.e., Wally's Service Station, shops, etc.) was so close, too! We'll be back and stay longer! Thank you for a memorable trip.

This cottage was so very clean, comfortable, and very accessible to downtown! It was beautifully furnished with vintique furniture, up-to-date appliances, and plenty of supplies for our stay. Our host was very sweet and bearing we needed anything. I will definitely recommend this home to my friends and family!

Quiet and clean, the little extras like coffee and creamer and toiletries were a nice touch. We couldn't figure out the Keurig but no worries, we used the coffee pot.

Beautiful cottage in Mt. Airy

Loved this beautiful cottage. It is exactly like the photos and decorated beautifully. Loved the location to everything. Within walking distance to Main Street and shopping. Quiet neighborhood and parking in driveway. Fully stocked with everything you need. We loved our time there and will book again. The owner was quick to reply and Autumn (manager on location) was so nice and helpful. We loved the front porch too.

This property is the cutest cottage - an older home that has been updated but still keeping with it's original details and charm. My 91 YO dad loved it - it was very nostalgic for him. I would have loved to stay a bit longer just to soak in the nostalgia. I would highly recommend this property, it is walking distance to several of the Mayberry sights. If I am in the area for an overnight, I will stay here again.

Great location right next to Wally's Garage (our favorite photo spot). Loved sitting on the porch and watching the rain. Love the original character of this old home. It was fun for the kids to see how people used to live. Super cute!

Looks can be deceiving

Overall, location was nice because it’s in walking distance of everything in Mayberry and Mount Airy, as far as the downtown strip goes plenty of places to eat lots of stores to enjoy. There is a garage apartment behind the house that someone lives in and the house next-door was being renovated and the homeowners were working on the house until 1130 at night. The house smells very musty when you walk in and has a pretty hokey hook lock on the basement that is under the house, which when we arrived was completely open at the outside door so we felt like anyone could walk in in the middle of the night so I would say the pictures are a bit deceiving as it appears to be on a nice little street in the heart of Mayberry and it’s actually not. Would not stay there again.

Lovely Cottage

We only stayed one night but I could have enjoyed a longer stay. This vintage cottage was very clean and lamps were lit upon our arrival for a warm welcome.I particularly appreciated the coffee with full array of powdered creamers!

Great stay for downtown

Our stay was great! It was clean and quaint. The bed was comfortable. It was as described in the listing and great location to walk around Mayberry. We did the squad car tour which was informative and fun!

It was a pleasure

Took my 15 year old son for a quick trip. The house was plenty big for us and the location was great. My only suggestion would be to add a ceiling fan in the front bedroom for those of us that need that extra cooling at night. I was impressed that they think of most everything, including makeup remover wipes. May sound silly to some people but it was obvious they want to take care of their linens and make things easy and convenient for guests. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and playing games. The house is very close to Wally’s so the police car tour was easy and fun! Communication with the owner was quick. One of the best things about this property is the caretaker. She is so kind, soft spoken, and eager to help. She’s definitely one of the most humble people I’ve met. Looking forward to another trip when we can stay a bit longer!
