Live, work and celebrate in style, luxury, space and beauty. This elegant, historic, fully renovated and modernized two story luxury house, built by Elliot Barker, the father of infamous Smokey Bear, is a serene, private and spacious home for your large group right in the center of everything in historic Downtown with only 3 minutes walk to the Plaza or Canyon Road, museums, cafes, galleries, parks and cathedrals. Events, weddings, and conferences are welcome subject to additional fees. Unauthorized pets on premises will incur penalties in the amount of an extra night’s stay, reimbursement of damages and extra cleaning charges.

The space
The living spaces include:
- The large formal living room with a gorgeous antique fireplace and historic double doors opening to the extra large veranda facing Palace Avenue.
- Large formal dining room with incredible antique windows
- Spacious kitchen with two sinks, kitchen island and bar seating and access to the back veranda leading to the beautiful and serene backyard with an open fire pit and plenty of dining and lounge seating,
- Master bedroom with en-suite bathroom with dual sinks
- Powder room (half bathroom)
Upstairs includes:
- Three gorgeous bedrooms with large windows and exquisite views of the famous Santa Fe sunsets.
- An office room with single bed facing the beautiful green hills for extra charge.
- An updated vintage bathroom
- An en-suite bathroom in the blue room
Basement has laundry facilities

The home was very adequately furnished in. The outdoor areas were great. The back patio with a fireplace was such a beautiful way to wind down the evenings. The proximity to Santa Fe Plaza was also great and everything was within walking distance. A wonderful place to stay.

Downtown Santa Fe group stay

We had a lovely time as a group of 6 staying here. The house was spacious with a great outdoor patio. We were very comfortable and all of the rooms were cute themed. This place is extremely convenient for getting around town without a car. Downtown and the galleries were an easy walk and I would highly recommend.

Great weekend with friends

This is an amazing property-- really beautifully decorated, the perfect size, and so close to all the best parts of Santa Fe. Seven girlfriends and I came for the weekend just to get-away and it was perfect. Beautiful place, awesome to have parking and walkable to everything we wanted to see and do. The gardens are amazing and we had a wonderful time sitting in the backyard just enjoying the warm weather and each others company. I loved all the seating areas outside. Would highly recommend.

We Now Know Our Way to Santa Fe

Two newbies and two return SF travelers enjoyed the spacious and welcoming Elliott Barker House. The front patio and back courtyard areas made for enjoyable outdoor relaxation. The four bedrooms allowed each of us to have a room of our own. The kitchen was well appointed. The hosts were proactive providing information. The location is perfect for exploring SF proper and the off street parking is secure. Our day tripping in the region was perfect and coming back seemed like coming home. Thank you.

Plush Historical Getaway

We needed a place to stay in Santa Fe for a wedding, along with our four teens, as we were also kicking off their fall break road trip. We initially chose the home for its bed count and proximity to the historic Plaza. However, the home has historic significance (we will let you discover the details for yourselves) and the owners have decorated it with charm and style. Everything we could have needed was there, and more. There are cozy, inviting seating areas in front of and in back of the house. We enjoyed hanging out in the front yard playing cards with our kids and watching passersbyby. Our contract, Sasi, was in constant contact and checked on us before, during and after our stay. We absolutely would stay here again when in Santa Fe.

A Perfect Oasis

Santa Fe is a special place and Kutlu and Sasi have created a space that is in perfect harmony with the town. The home is comfortable and welcoming, perfectly located for easy walks to the best of Santa Fe. The outdoor space is fantastic. And these are hosts who take their hospitality seriously. The details are looked after, from the nightlights in the common rooms to the abundance of things in the kitchen. We regularly stay in far more expensive homes that don't come close to this level of hospitality. Our kids are already scheming for ways to get us back to Santa Fe just to be able to enjoy the special home again.

Amazing house and location

I rented out this gorgeous one of a kind home for some friends for a birthday weekend. We loved it. It was totally glamorous and comfortable, and the location is to die for. Gorgeous backyard and porch and patio to enjoy the sun; comfortable beds. Some cons: It’s expensive and we did find it a little off putting to constantly encounter our hosts’ slightly passive aggressive signs telling us not to mess up their towels or we’d be charged (in nearly every bathroom!), and when I asked for an early check in I was told it would cost $150, which is kind of absurd. I also had to pay an unnecessary amount more for them to open the door for an extra bedroom for our ninth guest. I felt a little like we were getting milked for all we were worth. But in the end this is one of the most unique homes I’ve stayed in and am glad we had it for the weekend.

Amazing home situated within walking distance to the Plaza and Canyon Road. Beautiful historic home that was well appointed and very comfortable. Owners added a lot of many extra touches like a fully stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, quick responses during our stay. The outdoor fireplace was a favorite gathering spot for evening cocktails. Perfect Spot in Santa Fe

We really enjoyed this VRBO, definitely the best city rental home we’ve stayed in. The location was great, it was super clean, and the house was pretty. My oldest daughter ran around taking inspiration pictures of the bedrooms so she could incorporate some ideas in her room at home. I appreciated the nice fluffy white towels and nice outdoor area. Communication was excellent with the hosts. We’d absolutely stay here again.

Gorgeous home in perfect location

We had a fabulous girls weekend at the Palace on Palace! The home is absolutely stunning with all of the fabulous decorations, outside firepit and incredible attention to detail. The check-in process was seamless and communication with Kutlu was excellent. The home is well appointed with beautiful stemware, lots of coffee options and all the details you would expect. Great house in a great location!

We needed a place where our adult kids could work during the weekdays while we did Santa Fe activities. This house was perfect, allowing us to walk everywhere in town and meet the boys when they were free. They were able to work at the dining room table or outside in one of the many great outdoor areas in the back of the house. Kutlu and Sasi were wonderful hosts and very responsive when a smoke detector started beeping at us. Thanks very much!

Magical Setting

WOW! Where to begin? I visited Santa Fe with six other women and had an amazing time. The attention to detail that the owners have taken is incredible. Outdoor living space is a must for us on these trips, and the backyard is simply magical. From the outdoor fireplace, hanging lights, charming fence, GORGEOUS landscaping, and more, simply hanging out on the grounds is a vacation all in itself. Inside, you will find a gorgeous eclectic setting: wonderful bedding, a completely stocked kitchen, enough seating for all, and music available upon command. Location is key, and this property is within walking distance of everything you could want for. Julia's kitchen is right across the street and services wonderful food, canyon road is a couple of blocks away, and the plaza is right down the street. If we weren't going to MEOW WOLF or Prairie Dog Glass Blowing, we wouldn't have needed a car as everything was super close. This home is absolutely perfect! This is the home you should choose if going to Santa Fe.

You will love this house!

We have stayed in Santa Fe dozens of times and this was the absolute best experience we’ve ever had. The owners were lovely — helpful and quick to respond but very respectful of our privacy. The house is spectacular, even more gorgeous than the photos. And It was much bigger inside than I expected from the photos. The decor is exquisite and it was so fun to look around and see so many little treasures (plus get some decorating ideas!). The location is ideal, just a few minutes walk to town —Yet is is quiet and private. And the backyard is just magical. We spent so much time out there and feel completely rejuvenated. It was a perfect experience from start to finish and I hope we can stay there again for our next trip.

Amazing stay in Santa Fe

I had a wonderful visit to this home with my parents and two teen/tween kids. The house was even more charming than the photos and located just a couple of blocks from all of the cool sights in downtown Santa Fe. My parents arrived 1.5 hours before the check-in time, but Kutlu couldn’t have been more gracious and welcoming. Communication ahead of and during our stay was excellent. The house was so well stocked with all the conveniences and thoughtfully appointed. This was the first time I’d been able to see my parents since covid started, and my dad’s mobility is challenged. We knew we’d be spending more time than usual in our vacation home, and this home didn’t disappoint. We were all charmed by the beautiful and whimsical designs of the indoor and outdoor spaces. Our party left a cell phone behind and Kutlu let us know and offered to ship it to us. We hope to stay again when we return to Santa Fe!

Amazing stay!

Our family had our first reunion in 2 years and loved everything about the house. The location was perfect, the inside was spotless and elegantly set up, and the outdoor space and fire pit were great for the evenings. 5 stars!

My Partner and I have been living in Santa Fe since 2015. We love this magical town in the summer, in the fall, in winter and in spring. A wonderful way to get away from the hustle and bustle of the daily life and take a moment to enjoy ease of life with an abundance uniqueness.

This property will have you say WOW from the moment you spot it from the historic East Palace Avenue. This beautiful street is called Palace as it leads, only one block down, to the Palace of the Governors which looms over the historic Plaza where everything happens. During your short walk down to the Plaza, you will encounter restaurants, museums, galleries as well as Santa Fe's most prestigious resorts catering to visitors who prefer to stay in Old Town. On your left, you will see first the La Posada Resort, then the Drury Resort before the beautiful gardens of the St. Francis Cathedral, Museum of Native American Arts and La Fonda, full of colors, people and joy.
We furnished this home to bring some of the old world opulence with modern amenities and many spaces indoor and outdoor to congregate or to enjoy your a quiet moment with your book. Relaxation, luxury, location and plenty of space are what this unique property will offer you!
