Great fishing location.

Property was as advertised. Very quiet and peaceful. Friendly neighbors. Worked perfectly for week long fishing vacation. Bonus was having a dock and boat ramp on the property. Would definitely stay again.

this place was very quiet where you can relax and enjoy your stay Jim was very easy to communicate with and helpful in every way. We enjoyed our stay there very much. Nice older, very clean, air conditioned mobile home in a very safe, quiet community. This property has a refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, garbage disposal, microwave, range oven, washer/dryer, wifi, TV. Everything is definitely dated, but everything works as it should. The carport out front is over a new concrete pad and was large enough for me to park my 16 foot skiff and F150 with no issue. The rustic dock out back is very large. We very much enjoyed watching the sunrise and listening to the many birds on the canal while having our morning coffee. The master bedroom has an attached bathroom very clean. There is also a second bedroom and bathroom also, spotless. There is a steep concrete boat ramp on the property. Although we did not use it, it looks serviceable. Jim the host was great and very attentive. The surrounding area is very nice and has many free public ramps. Unfortunately, during our stay, there were small craft advisories due to 25kt winds and were only able to get out for a short period of time on our last day. For a small skiff like ours I recommend the easy less crowded Nubbin Slough Boat Launch. We enjoyed the Okeechobee County Fair and the Big "O" flea market. For inexpensive local eats, we recommend the Okeechobee Fish Company. If you are looking for a place to quickly access the lake that is very clean, quiet and serviceable I would very much recommend this place. Also I would not recommend this place for small children.

Great fish camp

Spent the week here to fish the lake. The house is located near everything and a short drive to the lake. This is a clean place and easy to get to. I highly recommend staying here.

Nice 2 week Stay

I was in town for a few weeks on business. It was good to have a place with a washer and dryer, kitchen and a deck on the water to relax on at the end of the day.

If you're a fisherman and you are all guys to stay in this places okay

The place is okay. It is over priced in my past experiences in Okeechobee. The place could more cleaner and kept up better. The communication with the owner was the best experience overall

Fantastic Property for Fishing the Big O

We really enjoyed our stay and convenient location of this property. Took my son on his first Big O crappie fishing trip. The place was perfect for us. It was clean and well stocked with everything you need for a great trip. Has a washer and dryer and full size gas grill! The boat dock and launch ramp got us on the water quickly and it is very convenient to the Taylor Creek lock. The owner was very responsive and check in and out were a breeze. Highly recommended!

A disappointing property

Having owned a mobile home for 10 years and having been in numerous other similar homes this property was a very big disappointment. When we arrived there was a very musty smell in the trailer and it took two days to mostly air it out. This old trailer has been renovated only to the extent that all walls and cupboards have been painted.Showers/tubs, faucets, and floors have been replaced but it needs much more work. Cleanliness depends on what you are accustomed to. For us the cleanliness left much to be desired. It needs to be aired out before arrival; awnings put up, and boards removed from a few windows. The location is very peaceful with a lovely dock. This trailer is more appropriate as a fishing camp rather than a rental property for snowbirds. Since we are experienced snowbird we will not return as there are other more suitable properties available on VRBO.

Great vacation spot

We really enjoyed our stay at Jim’s place. Very clean and very well supplied with linens and kitchen utensils. The grill worked great as well. It was really convenient having a boat ramp on the property too. The rental is located close to all the stores you need while your staying there. Great neighborhood with friendly neighbors.
