Coastal Cottage - Close to Gulf Shores Beaches/Attractions!

Classic, coastal cottage. Located in the heart of Gulf Shores in walking distance to our beautiful white sand beaches. Comfortable cottage sleeps 4 guests - 2 private bedrooms (queen sized bed in each) and one full bathroom. Public beach access, popular restaurants, and shops just blocks away. Easy driving distance to Gulf State Park, Waterville, mini golf, OWA amusement complex, outlet shopping, sports complexes, and more! This cozy cottage comfortably accommodates up to 4 adults and is equipped with all of the comforts of home.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

* Free guest parking - room to park 2 vehicles on site.
* Amenities include: free Wi-Fi, 2 smart tv's (no cable), fully equipped kitchen, outdoor deck.
* Linens come furnished, but please bring your own beach towels.
* Guests receive a “starter pack” of laundry detergent, dish washing detergent, one trash bag per trash can, and travel-sized shampoo, conditioner, and soap per bathroom.

Nice family home

When were looking for a quiet place near the beach and this was perfect! All the comforts needed in a compact home. Our second time to stay!

Cleanliness Lacking

The location was good, near restaurants and activities. When we arrived there was a layer of sand on the bedspread and then the sheets were stained and didn't look like they had been washed. When we contacted the property manager and sent her pictures. She just said they would pass it along to the cleaning crew. No apology and no one assisted us. We went ahead and washed them ourselves the first night of our arrival so we could sleep. I also went and bought my own blanket. The next day we still did not hear from anyone and reached back out to the property manager. We did not receive a reply. Around 4:00 or so that afternoon, someone from the cleaning crew came and asked what happened and gave us a new sheet set. Side note the coffee machine was also filthy inside. It was overall disappointing that the property manager gave no apology and was not timely in helping us out. Starting our trip by doing dirty laundry wasn't what we wanted, but some kind words would have gone a long way in how we felt about our stay.

Location

Location was great for our trip, we were able to walk to the Hangout which is where we needed to be for a music festival. Area was quiet, we were able to sleep well.

Cute House

My husband and I were in Gulf Shores for the Shrimp Festival. The house was within walking distance to the festival. House was very clean and the check in process was easy. Highly recommend!!

Decent Stay

This place was a decent stay for my husband and I for one-week. Location was great and within a 1-mile drive or walk of everything. Our criticism is primarily for the house itself and the lack of hospitality of our stay. 1) The cleanliness of the house was poor. At first glance it seemed clean, but as we began to settle in it was details such as sand under the beds and couch, the still dirty coffee pot, and moldy shower curtain. This had us put off at the lack of thoroughness in their cleaning efforts and questioning what else wasn't cleaned fully. 2) While we never pay to close attention to the renovation of the VRBOs we stay at, it was hard not to notice some shoddy work. Specifically the flooring where some nail heads were sticking out. Leaving us conscious when walking around. 3)The lack of hospitality wasn't ideal when it came to providing us with the bare minimum of select things such as ONE toilet paper roll, ONE paper towel roll, lack of pots and pans, etc. Even the items provided were the cheapest of quality. 4) Lastly, while the host does recommend signing out of used streaming apps to its guests, I still recommend the host do the right thing and go through the apps and sign out those who had forgotten. While my husband and I are not ignorant of the pleasure others take part in during their own getaways, turning on the tv to see the explicit videos the last guests had been watching wasn't ideal. Especially when thinking of the insufficient cleaning efforts.
