Incredible place offering beautiful lake views, terrific amenities, and plenty of room. We enjoyed using the peddle boat daily, the great kitchen with space for the whole family to help with preparation, and the multiple deck options for dining and morning coffee. We’ll definitely be planning a return visit!!

scenic getaway

beautiful views, peaceful location. My husband and I stayed in the master bedroom and I had the best nights sleep in ages and would love to know the make and model of the mattress. The access to the Rumbling Bald is a definite bonus. The kayaks, peddle boat and floating dock were very much appreciated.

Beautiful spot

Very pleasant stay. We did note a large grease stain in the oven and the floors were dirty. I did try to remove the stain with goo gone, but a self clean should be in order.

It was the perfect place for our reunion. 5 HS friends met in Charlotte and stayed at Daydream House for 4 nights and we picked the right place! The house was just as described. Clean, fully equipped and right on a beautiful part of the lake. Beds were very comfortable with fresh linens and plenty of towels for the bath. We floated out on the swim dock all day and had dinner at Lake House restaurant. Hosts were very responsive. The best time!!

Sisters getaway

Stayed at this amazing lakefront home for a long weekend sisters getaway. It was beautiful, clean , cozy and full of charm. The online pictures do not do it justice. From the cabin to the location and amenities the home came with was wonderful. We swam in the lake, took peddle boat out for a little ride. Kitchen is fully stocked with everything you would need to make your own meals which we did after some sun and water time in the lake. We would recommend 100 percent. Also near the town of Chimney Rock with adorable shops and good eats. Next time we plan to stay longer !

Nice getaway

The house was very clean and well stocked. Sue was extremely responsive to all of our needs. The children loved kayaking and swimming in the lake. The amenities at Rumbling Bald were a real plus especially the lazy river. Because we had unusually hot weather we were unable to have dinner on the porch so my only suggestion is to have a few extra chairs for the indoor dining table. We were six people and two had to eat at the counter. It would have been nice for all of us to sit at the table.

Great with a few requests.

My requests are to put a king bed in the master bedroom so my wife and I can sleep together. There is plenty of room. Also, blinds on all the windows in the master. I had to move many things off the counters and cabinets to the laundry room to make room for our dry goods.

The beds were comfortable and the inside was clean and well appointed with an eclectic decor that we all enjoyed. We immersed ourselves in the waterfront daily - making good use of the kayaks, sups and floating raft. Everything was in good working order. We especially enjoyed having access to Rumbling Bald amenities including the pools, putt putt golf, the waterfront and the fitness center. We are already booking for next year. Management was wonderful to work with as well.

The perfect vacation lake house!

We knew we wanted something lake-front with enough beds for everyone, and this spot ticked all the boxes and more. We knew it had everything we needed, but we were blown away when we arrived; it exceeded all expectations in person!Grandma was so happy to have a room separated from all the grandkids, and the young kids were thrilled to have rooms across from each other for max cousin fun!We lived on the water thanks to the floating dock, and put the paddle boards and kayaks to good use every day.The kitchen was more spacious than expected, and we were even able to host our 12 other relatives across the lake for dinner with ease.We can't wait to book Daydream Inn again next summer!

It is a beautiful home with everything you could possibly need , from kayaks and paddle boards to skewers for roasting marshmallows. Just pack your clothes and toiletries and you are good to go. We love the Ingall’s grocery store just a 15 minute drive and the Rumbling Bald amenities.

Reviewer Comments: We fell into Steve and Sue (FIVE STAR to work with - BEYOND amazing!) via a last minute issue with a completely separate VRBO we were going to stay in. They founds us a place on the fly, and it was PERFECT - right on the lake, with all of the water amenities (an amazing overall location to boot) you could ask for. We loved it - every minute of it!
