We really enjoyed our stay! It was super cozy & great for our 3 day weekend & 2 big dogs! It had nice appliances & great big yard for our pups and child to play in! The cleanliness was superb as well! The only recommendations we would have would be: 1) having updated towels. Some of the towels had holes in them, which made them a little uncomfortable to use 2) having an extra hair dryer incase one is forgotten. 3) providing small samples of shampoo/conditioner 4) providing a few more dishes

Great place

The property was VERY clean, the backyard is big so your dog can run around if they like that. The bed has a memory foam on top which makes it comfortable. Kitchen could use a few more cooking items. Everything was perfect and we highly recommend; especially if you have a fur baby!

Liked - private driveway - Big bathroom with nice shower - Unique - big back yard for dogs to play I think they could improve by offering more amenities like a hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, and more soap. The unit didn't have any paper towels. It only can fit 3 people comfortably with a queen bed and twin bed. My dog loved it and I am glad I didn't have to pay extra for her.

Great spot especially for dogs!

My boyfriend and I brought our two dogs to stay for the week before memorial day. The place was very clean. As the pictures show, it is on the small side, but the big backyard really makes up for it. We spent most of our time sitting outside at the patio table. Since it was just the two of us, we used the small room with the bed as storage for out luggage/beach equipment. There is another rental upstairs. We only overlapped with those guests for one night, but keep in mind that you could have people above you. We were able to hear when their dogs were running around but it wasnt too loud. Because Carolina Beach is so small, its hard to be far away from anything so you are super close to the park and the beach was only a few minutes drive away. Only one small critique. There was only a thin quilt on the bed for a blanket, so if you are like me and like to sleep in a cold room but with a thick blanket, you might want to pack an extra one! Otherwise, we plan to come back here for our next trip to Carolina beach!

Enjoyed our stay

This was the perfect spot for our weekend trip. We weren’t going to be “home” much during our trip so we didn’t care about how spacious it was. Last minute our daughter needed to join and she actually loved having the cozy little room/bed that was tucked away. The space was very clean and cutely decorated. You would never know you were stayed in a guest suite with how quiet the owners are! Very easy to come and go as you please with the gated system around back. Only thing I would say is to make sure to bring shampoo/soap that you need since it isn’t provided. We always do anyway but just a good heads up. We would definitely stay again.

Weekend getaway

My husband, dog, and I got away for the weekend just a bit before beach season. We got lucky with great weather! Our favorite eats came from Seaworthy Kitchen & Bar (awesome mac & cheese) and Kate's Pancake house (Sweet Potato Bliss Pancakes omg). We spent a lot of time beaching at Freeman Park and walking the trails at Carolina Beach State Park. Everything seems very family and dog friendly in the area. Probably wouldn't have stayed here if we were traveling without our dog. Overall great place to stay if you have a car to get you around.

It was amazing the property was close to everything. Communication was great. The only problem I did have was the cleanliness of the room i did book a pet friendly spot but the dog hair was a lot and the smell of dog was very strong. But once I cleaned and got everything right I was very satisfied I will most definitely book with them again!!

Very clean and comfort spot. Quiet neighborhood near the beach. Loved the handmade soap and comfy bed. Would’ve been great to have some ice trays, dish soap and shampoo in the shower.

A Superb Vrbo Location (dog friendly) and Host

Me and my partner booked our first ever summer trip at Carolina Beach, NC. It was difficult at first to find accommodations that accepts dogs, until we came across this Vrbo site. The host communicated throughout before, during, and after our stay so we are all informed of standards and expectations. The site is designed like an in-law suite (basement) that has all the accommodations of a tiny apartment. The kitchen area has everything we need to even make crab boil our last night. What we appreciate the most is that this Vrbo location is dog friendly! We have our own spacious backyard with 7-ft fence all around! Our puppy was able to enjoy the space and even sun bathed every morning. This location comes with two sleeping quarters, the main room and the ‘bonus room’ where a twin mattress is fitted underneath a staircase (we used it as our dog’s room— he had his own bed though). All together, the space is enough for a couple, with a toddler or a teenager or a pet dog but no more than 3 people. It has all the amenities and accessories and accommodations we need for a 3-night stay. The parking at the ocean front ranges from $35.00 up, but we were able to walk from our Vrbo house to the beach (3/4 mi, 35 minutes) a plus for fitness enthusiasts like us (bring/rent a bike if you can).

Short visit to Carolina Beach

We drove in from Ohio on our way to SC to surprise a friend for their 40th birthday. It was last minute so we only had a few options to choose from. The price was steep for what you get, but it was rated good and only 1 mile from the party we were attending, so we booked it. We were scheduled to arrive a bit early (2:30) but check-in wasn't until 4, so I messaged the host if it was available to get in a bit early. They responded that it would be a $50 fee, on top of the $350 we already paid. Needless, to say we opted to grab a late lunch and drinks instead. When arriving to the rental, after 4, I had to message and then call the host because no information was provided to check in. She was however, quick to respond. Aside from the layout being weird the place was pretty clean. Overall, it fit our needs for one night, but wouldn't recommend it for any length of time.
