Blue Moon, you knew just what I was there for...

Tucked away in a green vale sits Blue Moon Log Cabin. It looks like a scene out of a fairy tale; mature trees adorn the 110-year-old cabin's landscape, setting the mood for the getaway you imagined. As you step inside the log cabin, rich wood surrounds you. Enjoy a warm cup of coffee from the cabin's coffee bar or a glass of wine from a nearby winery while enjoying the porch swing, letting the day drift away. As the sun sets, we invite you to step onto your private deck, gaze at the stars, and hopefully catch a glimpse of that elusive Blue Moon.

Blue Moon Log Cabin is just five miles from downtown Nashville, right outside Helmsburg. In addition to the king bed, Blue Moon Log Cabin also features a sleeper sofa.

Our cabins are located in the beautiful woods and countryside of Brown County, Indiana. While we provide routine professional pest control and keep our homes clean and well-maintained, guests may occasionally see seasonal pests such as mice, flies, lady beetles (Asian beetles), or stink bugs — especially in the fall and spring.

These harmless insects are part of life in a rural setting. We do everything possible to minimize their presence and appreciate your understanding as part of the authentic Brown County experience!

PET-FRIENDLY PROPERTY: There is a $75 fee per pet. Moondance Vacation Homes proudly donates a portion to the Brown County Humane Society when you bring your pet and pay your pet fee.

ALL EVENTS, DAY GUESTS, AND PARTIES ARE PROHIBITED WITHOUT PRIOR WRITTEN APPROVAL FROM PROPERTY MANAGEMENT. Effective July 1, 2025, the county has raised the innkeepers' tax from 5% to 8%.

The matress need replaced it has a big dip in it. The window blinds are dirty and broken they need replaced. The TV above the fireplace need to be larger. The fireplace remote doesnt work. One must turn on the fireplace with a switch that is laying on the floor in front of the fire place.

Secluded Getaway

We absolutely loved this little cabin! It was super cozy, the hot tub was amazing, and the location was perfect. Only a 10 minute drive to downtown Nashville which was great. It rained while we were there but that didn't matter because of how comfortable we were chilling at the cabin! 10/10 stay and want to come back in the future!

Very cozy and good location

The property was very cozy. We could tell they put alot of thought into the property to make it convenient and comfortable for us. The cabin was well stocked with anything you could need. Would definitely stay again!

Wonderful couple’s getaway!

We rented this for a short honeymoon and LOVED it! The cabin is set up beautifully for a couple’s retreat, including a well equipped kitchen. We would definitely come again and recommend!

wonderful, rustic cabin with EVERYTHING included, wifi, TV,Roku, carbon monoxide detector, first aid kit, coffee, keurig pods, fresh coffee beans and grinder, DVDs, bathroom had all sorts of extra supplies, toothbrush, shaver, epsom salts, kitchen fully stocked, hot tub awesome, they even supplied charcoal for grill! This cabin was the perfect mix of secluded but close to town. The neighbors in the back yard had two dogs that barked a lot, but that wasn’t the hosts fault. We loved the house and would definitely book again.

We spent 3 nights for a spring break getaway.

The cabin is nicer than the pictures. It is quaint and rustic, but with all the modern necessities. Lovely decorations, with plenty of pillows and throw blankets. Cozy gas fireplace and private location. Smooth check-in and great communication with owners.

Very nice setting and cute clean cabin. Nice hot tub area. Only complaint are the doors are hard to open and shut. And the blow dryer wasn’t working. But overall nice cabin.

Cozy cottage

We had a really nice time and loved the antique furniture and fixtures. The only thing that could have been better was if the hot tub was actually hot. It was only about 93 degrees when we arrived and didn’t get to 103 until the wee hours. Also, the tvs didn’t seem to work. But we still enjoyed ourselves and would definitely come back.

Cozy cabin with thoughtful supplies provided for guests.

The theme of the cabin is very sweet and cozy. Spending time there with my husband and teenage boys really helped bring us together to talk, laugh, and reminisce about our time living in Indiana. The host provided brochures and pamphlets of what was around to help on ideas for what to do. We enjoyed a nice fire one evening and family breakfasts in the morning. Thank you for helping to make our family trip a memorable one.
