Great home walking distance to the beach

Comfortable beds, nice bathrooms, new washer and dryer. The kitchen is really nice but did not even have salt and pepper or coffee.

Not as advertised

House definitely needs some maintenance done, missing door handles, have to park around back but no walk way to the back door and can't go thru garage cause no access to it. Description sounds much better than when you get there and realize nothing works, tv vcr in loft don't turn on so kids can't watch movies. Nice big house but was disappointed.

Rockaway Beach house

The house was functional and somewhat comfortable. The walk from the garage parking area to the door is blocked by a long stretch of loose sand that you will find yourself trudging through to get to and from your car. Inside, the house was nice, everything works. The furniture around the house is functional but not terribly nice or comfortable. The kitchen isn’t terribly well stocked either. However it is a short walk to the beach and the house was very nicely cleaned. Would stay again if available on our next trip up the coast

Great for kids

This house was so wonderful for our family trip to the beach. The best part was all the little things thought of for the kids. They had toys, a sand pit, plastic kids utensils and so much more. We have a 3 and 5 year old so it was perfect. The house itself is very comfortable. Only criticism besides the need for some cosmetic touch ups and bleach spot towels was the washing machine didn’t work and it didn’t have a bbq. The pictures show a gas grill and under things you should know it listed propane grill so we planned our meals accordingly especially since there was 8 of us. When we got there the grill was gone and when I called about it they said even though those other things were shown it wasn’t listed under the amenities so that means it doesn’t have one. Very confusing and the cause for losing 1 star. We also found a child tooth brush under the bed (not ours) which made me nervous for the quality of cleaning, but we didn’t see that until we went to check out. We would definitely come again.

Gut: Check-in und Kommunikation

Disappointing

I have stayed at about a dozen VRBO homes and this is by far the most disappointing. The pictures look nice on outside and inside but after staying there for 3 nights there are many issues. Most can be fixed with a little TLC and not a lot of money. The property listed a BBQ so we purchased food for grilling. When we arrived there was no BBQ. Called the property management and local manager said it had been removed a month before. He purchased a table top BBQ and dropped it off the next morning. Still in the box. The property is not landscaped so you have to walk thru weeds and sand to get to the door. The weeds have little thorny pieces (almost like a tiny goat head thorn) that stick to your shoes and sandals. Then it is "fun" to step on them in the house bare foot. Unbelievable they don't at least have a paved walk way. Big stepping stones would even work. The bath towels are incredibly old and hand towels in bathroom have bleach stains on them. The master bed mattress feels like a bouncy trampoline and the pillows are beyond broken down. They pans in the kitchen are really old and food sticks bad. The master shower drain is 90% clogged so expect to shower in your own dirty water. The last time I would guess this house was painted was 20 years ago. Paint is chipping off the walls in many places. No hose to help rinse off feat or beach toys. It would be kind of helpful to at least have a hose. Geez. Probably why shower drain is plugged. The washing machine wasn’t working as well. I feel that this property was furnished originally when it was built and nothing has been updated. Don't stay here until it is updated.
