Wasn’t clean and the hallways smell awful
The cleanliness of the unit wasn’t up to par with our standards. The washing machine was dirty. There was a nasty red/black film in the washer so we had dirty laundry the whole trip because I did not want our clothing touching it. The floors and the kitchen chairs were visibly dirty. The floors definitely have not been swept or mopped. My kids feet were BLACK at the bottom from walking on the floors. When I wiped the chairs down, you could see the dirt on the chairs coming off on the wipes. There was a used/dirty plunger in the bathroom that made me sick. All of the pillows looked old and yellow. We went to the store and purchased our own pillows to sleep on because I was too grossed out to sleep on the ones in the unit. The couches had stains and the kitchen/dining furniture needs to be replaced altogether. I’m afraid of what else hasn’t been cleaned that just isn’t visible to the eye.
The worst part…..the hallways and elevators smell awful. I got sick every time I stepped out of the elevator. There was a very strong vinegar/ketchup smell every single day. We all had to cover our noses to get through the halls and elevators. The building and unit just seemed really outdated. Even the splash pad and pool area had rust. I will say that all of the staff were very friendly and helpful, so nothing against the staff at all. They were a pleasure.
