Garden Cottage Rental with Al Fresco Bathtub in Kerikeri, Bay of Islands, New Zealand

For a special getaway to Bay of Islands on the North Island of New Zealand, this cottage rental in Kerikeri is just the place, come summer or winter. The eco-friendly cottage is located amid the property's lush sub-tropical gardens and has a number of luxurious amenities, including a separate summer house with a deck and an al fresco clawfoot bathtub.



Inside, the cottage can accommodate up to four guests—perfect for up to two couples or a small family—and features two bedrooms. The first bedroom has a king-size bed, while the second bedroom has a queen-size bed, and both have an ensuite bathroom with a shower or a bathtub and open up to the property's gardens. Cotton linens, feather pillows and duvets, electric blankets, cozy throws, and bathrobes are all provided. Guests will also be given bath and beach towels to use, in addition to complimentary toiletries, fresh flowers, and books and magazines to enjoy.



An antique Kauri staircase will lead guests up to the sunny living room area with an open floor plan, the fully-equipped kitchen, and the dining room area. The kitchen comes with a gas hob, an electric oven, an espresso machine, a refrigerator and freezer, a microwave, and all necessary cookware and tableware. In the living room, there are reclaimed timber floors, sofas to kick back and relax on, and direct access to the cottage's upper deck.



On the upper deck, guests will find a gas barbecue, a table and chairs, and sun loungers. The aforementioned summer house is where glampers will get to enjoy the outdoor bathtub, which is hidden away in the gardens. Here, there is also a potbelly stove, a gas barbecue, and tables and chairs.



Other amenities include a television, a DVD player, a CD player, and free Wi-Fi. While there is no cell phone coverage here, guests will have access to a phone in the property's guest office for making local phone calls.



Glampers will find their exclusive site equipped with everything they will need to relax in style. The tariff includes a private jetty, canoe and fishing, free to use at your leisure as well as your own private and romantic outdoor claw foot bath perched in a stunning setting on the river bank. There is also a deluxe hot tub on-site for guests to enjoy; the option to enjoy delicious meals delivered right to their accommodation as well as relaxing massages and spa treatments. All three require pre booking.



Glampers can explore the beautiful 5 acre sub tropical gardens, peaceful and unspoilt Takou River, perfect for fishing, kayaking and swimming, and our beautiful 150 acre organic farm with walks along the river, through organic pastures and native bush to secluded swimming and picnic spots. And last but not least, the beautiful and deserted sandy beaches a short paddle downstream at Takou Bay.
