Secluded Accommodation for Glamping Getaway in Mt. Lyford near Waiau, New Zealand

This secluded getaway hut is a truly unique way to experience the Canterbury region of New Zealand’s South Island. Situated near the popular Hanmer Springs, this escape allows guests to connect with nature while being close to the area’s main attractions. Sleeping up to two guests, this cozy wooden hut boasts a comfy queen-size bed, glass doors that allow guests to gaze upon the snow-capped alpines, and a small deck with two lounge chairs. Right next door, there is a shared lounge hut that contains a flat-screen television, a dining table for four, a full bathroom, and a fully-equipped kitchen, which has a stove, a refrigerator, a microwave, and a sink. The bathroom features a shower basin and a toilet. Outside, guests can wander the trails through nature, bike the nearby Alpine Pacific Route, or simply relax and breathe in the crisp mountain air.



This retreat has a focus on comfort to glamping so that guests can get in touch with the incredible natural surrounds without compromising convenience and luxury. A separate building is equipped with facilities that are shared between the two huts on the property. There is a kitchen, a flat screen television, a dining table, and a full bathroom with a shower, a toilet, and a sink. Heating and electric blankets are provided during the winter months to keep guests warm. The private hut also features a small wooden deck with two chairs, the perfect spot to enjoy a glass of local Pinot Noir, admire the alpine views, or stargaze at night.



Next to hut 1 is a gas fired outdoor hot tub which can be booked as an extra. Note: only one hut can use the hot tub, so first-in, first served. Cost is $60 for first day and $30 per consecutive day.
