Casa Escocesa ist eine schöne Villa direkt am Meer in Tankah, nördlich von Tulum. Die Villa verfügt über eine sehr hohe Qualität Finish-out und ist geschmackvoll mit neuen Möbeln eingerichtet. Sie ist mit rund 4.000 sq. Ft. Wohnfläche, 1000 sq. Ft. Überdachte Terrassen und ein funkelndes 30 'Meerseite Pool (viele andere Eigenschaften haben Pools auf der Straßenseite gelegen).

Zur Ausstattung gehören auch eine enorme Gourmet-Küche mit großen Insel, Granit und Edelstahl Geräte. Die 4 Schlafzimmer verfügen alle über ein eigenes Bad und bieten einen herrlichen Blick auf die Karibik. Das große Wohnzimmer bietet bequem Platz für bis zu 12 Personen. Die geräumige Höhle im Obergeschoss verfügt über einen 60 "Flachbildschirm-Smart-TV, einen Schreibtisch und einen kleinen Fitnessraum mit einem Laufband. Paradise in Mexico

We had a great stay in Tulum, the property is idyllic and the waves crashing on the shore provide the perfect backdrop for sipping margaritas from the pool. The property was just as advertised and the caretakers took amazing care of us. Great location for exploring the rest of the Tulum area as well. Would highly recommend.

Great rental right on the water. Casual restaurants nearby. Great snorkeling in the bay right around the point. Super helpful caretakers and great food! Highly recommend. Our group was all adults but would be great for kids/families, too.

Quiet location

The house is super spacious and worked well for our group. Felt secluded and safe! We enjoyed the beach and pool and elder and his wife are the best hosts. Had lunch cooked for us one day and it was amazing. Loved going for a quiet dinner at the boutique hotels near by but also only 20 minutes from Tulum beach, cenotes and ruins. It was a great trip!

Stunning Trip!!

Absolutely perfect vacation with friends!! The caretakers were amazing and so helpful for us, made a fantastic dinner for us as well. The whole stay was perfect from start to finish. We all loved the location, having our own private beach and pool.. I would recommend this property to anyone. Large beautiful home was big enough for all of us to have our own space and come together to hang out as well. Absolutely LOVE this property.

Large, very nice home managed by nice people

Pretty home with space for a large group. We were there in rainy weather, but greatly enjoyed ourselves. Our on-property cook was excellent. Two hesitations in giving this property our highest rating: the beach was mostly coral and afforded only short walk opportunities, and a condominium building is being constructed right next door. Otherwise, 5 stars.

the house was great and the family onsite took such great care of us. we loved the pool and the cooking/cleaning services. the only concern we had was that there were a few power outages that left us without electricity and water for two nights, but not the host's fault. as other reviews state, the road to the property is very bumpy and it takes about 15 minutes so plan accordingly.

Quintessential Vacation

Beautiful property in a central location. We visited Akumal, Tulum, Playa del Carmen and Cozumel. We felt very safe and enjoyed amazing meals all week. We had Elda cook for us on night one and it was a wonderful meal and Elda’s fish was the best we had all week (and we had lots of great fish dishes!!) sea turtles arrived almost every night to lay eggs. Wish we could book again to see the baby turtles hatch. Very safe area - guard Shak is 1 mike in and the house is another mile past that. We are at 2 of the restaurants right on that one mile strip and we were not disappointed. Fantastic place to get the best of the area.

The perfect home for our getaway!

Casa Escocesa is amazing! We were three couples and each of us had our own king size bed and private bathrooms. The beds are comfortable, and the bathrooms are spacious. We took the opportunity to have in-house meals prepared for us. Elda makes delicious omelets, guacamole, and the grilled fish is a must! Both Elda and Elder are so personable and quick to respond to any requests. We fell in love with them! Communication with Patti, the homeowner, was incredible. Always answered any questions or concerns promptly. From the group: Thank you, Patti, for your incredible hospitality and graciousness! We loved everything about staying at Casa Escocesa and cannot wait to return!

Gorgeous place!

The house was absolutely stunning and Elder/Elda were amazing. The cooking is highly recommended. We unfortunately did lose power and water for a night like some other guests which wasn’t ideal. There was also a fair amount of construction noise and debris that came our way. Like others said, for travel planning, the house is one of the furthest on the dirt road so the trip from the main roads takes significantly longer than the mapped suggestions. For the value and experience, this house was absolutely perfect.

Amazing vacation house

Our family enjoyed the week of sun, fun, and relaxation!! The house is spacious and immaculate and the sitting areas and beds are very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped. The icing on the cake is Elda and Elder !!! They are gracious hosts and wonderful cooks. They spoiled us and it was the most relaxed vacation I have ever experienced. The ocean and beach are rocky but beautiful and the constant ocean breeze was heavenly. We all enjoyed the swimming pool and had the chance to witness a sea turtle beaching and laying her eggs and returning to the sea!! It was a serendipity!

FABULOUS CASA ESCOCESA.

Unbelievable, just stayed at this fabulous home for Thanksgiving week. Had my family there and they were astounded on this beautiful home. Plenty of room for the eight of us. Elda and Elder were magnificent!!! Elda 's meals were delicious. She prepared anything you wanted. Have breakfast and dinner , before you go sight seeing. Elder, also helped in some of the food preparation. If you need transportation from airport or to ruins, he was there for you. Any problems, just ask Elder he'll resolve it. Would Stay Again ... Some things to know

Our two families travel together every year. This year, we picked Tulum. We had a great time and would stay at the house again! I wanted to also provide further insights if you are considering staying at this house. Elder and Elda, the home's on-site caretakers, are fantastic! They did the grocery shopping and cooking, and the house was cleaned every day. They are also very knowledgeable of Tulum. On top of the excellent service, they are a really nice family. The house is beautiful. Great layout. The pool and views are breath taking! The photos on the website are probably 10 - 15 years old. There is some deferred maintenance that could be taken care of, like the broken screen in one of the bathrooms. Windows that used to open, but are now missing the knobs. In fairness, I'm not sure we would have opened them because of the heat and bugs. The road to the house, off the main highway, is EXTREMELY bumpy. It is a dirt road with lots of potholes, making the ride very uncomfortable. This could be due to the hurricane. Nevertheless, it is so bad it needs to be repaired as soon as possible. Please keep in mind this is only constructive criticism. Our families had a great time!

Beautiful relaxing, loved it

Beautiful coral beach setting Dramatic skies Pleasant swimming pool So quiet, only the sound of the sea Great looking after of us by elda and elder and family, many thanks we really appreciated it Yummy lobster dinner Total relaxation We were abig family ranging from age 3 to 75 and we all loved it, possibly best holiday ever and I have stayed at lots of v nice places eg the four seasons hotel Istanbul over the summer Only 3 small points, an outdoor shower would have been great to avoid slippery dripping in the house. Also some mechanism for partial shade over the pool would have been useful especially for children for the mornings when the pool was in full sunshine ( I am a dermatologist!) Also in the room with 2 double beds for 4 kids the beds were a little small for 2 so a sofabed in the living room would have been really great as we were a full house of 10. We had a full moon and the glitter on the sea and the soft night breezes were beautiful. We did yoga on the balcony, face masks and spa with my sisters. Lots of lovely beaches locally delta was good, la zebra restaurant v nice It was a really wonderful restful holiday that we had. I am keen to return really soon if we can. Thank you so much !

Awesome house & cook!!

March 9-16, 2013. This was one of the best family vacations ever! All the pictures of the house and property are 100% accurate. One of the best things about this house was the Elda & Elder. Elda’s cooking was amazing and Elder was very helpful in providing assistance with local places to go and see. The house had everything that we needed. Blow dryers were provided in every bathroom. They even had a bottle water dispenser. We were able to plug our cell phones and laptops into the outlets without any converters and did not have any issues. It is about a 2 hour drive south from Cancun. We used “Easy Way” car rental which was located just outside the airport. You’ll definitely need a car when staying here. The house is located between Akumal and Tulum beach area, which we visited often. The house has a guest book with lots of tips and places to visit. We use it and left lots of notes, too. We went snorkeling to Cenote Dos Ojos. Great snorkeling except we had to use wet suits since the water temp was only 74 degrees….too chilly for us Virginians!

March 9-16, 2013. This was one of our best family vacations ever! All the pictures of the house and property are 100% accurate. One of the best things about this house was Elda & Elder. Elda’s cooking was amazing and Elder was very helpful in providing assistance with local places to go and see. The house had everything that we needed. Blow dryers were provided in every bathroom. They even had a bottle water dispenser. We were able to plug our cell phones and laptops into the outlets without any converters and did not have any issues. It is about a 2 hour drive south from Cancun. We used “Easy Way” car rental which was located just outside the airport. You’ll definitely need a car when staying here, since it is conveniently located between Akumal and Tulum beach towns. The house had a guest book with lots of tips and places to visit. We use it and left lots of notes, too. We went snorkeling to Cenote Dos Ojos and visited the Tulum ruins. Great snorkeling except we had to wear wet suits since the water temp was only 74 degrees….too chilly for us Virginians! Would highly recommend this house and can’t wait to go back!!

AMAZING!!!

Honestly the reviews do not lie!! This is the place if you are looking for a 5 star all inclusive but without all the other people. The house is beautiful, the views are breath taking and the care takers Elda and Elder along with their children and additional help are all amazing. We were a party of 8 adults and we all felt like royalty on our vacation. The pictures online do not do this house justice.. I wish I could attach additional pictures but not able to through VRBO. I cannot express how great Elda and Elder are and our sincere gratitude for their hospitality. I will tell you do not bother going out to eat have Elda prepare your meals for a minimal charge, she is a amazing cook and you will not go hungry. You can request items off her menu but whatever you do make sure to have her steak and lobster it was out of this world! The night we arrived we had dinner awaiting us along with Elda and Elder to greet us and show us around the house, they did not miss a beat from the moment we arrived until our departure. I have been to the Tulum area 3x's now and have rented other VRBO's and this one I will definitely be returning to. The beach being rocky does not takeaway from this house, walk a little ways down the beach to the left and you can walk right into the ocean.

Beautiful get away

Our stay at Casa Escocesa was wonderful. The home itself was beautiful and comfortable for our group of six women. The home owner was more than accommodating when we needed to cancel several years ago and we were thrilled to be able to return. Our group stopped at Costco on the way to the home however I would recommend confirming what might be onsite as a few of the items we purchased were already in the home, including coffee and bottled water. The dinners made by the caretakers were delicious, and we were thankful for the daily cleaning which was included. The pool overlooking the ocean is something we will not soon forget. As noted by previous guests, there is an amazing amount of construction in Tulum, both on the side street to the house and into town. I would allow 40 minutes to get anywhere on the main beach road. There are also two buildings going up directly next door to the home, with a lot of work in the immediate area. Rather than going into town for dinner one evening we did go to Bsky which was a nice alternative within the neighborhood. It was a one mile walk and we were able to get a cab ride back to the house. My biggest piece of advice is to limit your travel to town to one time a day. The cost was approximately $60 - $90 one way depending on how many people were traveling.
