The apartment has many positive features. It is well located, secure, and the bed and sofa are quite comfortable. The owners communicate well, and the check in and other details are clear and timely. The apartment is fairly clean and well maintained. We appreciated the washer, dryer, and laundry detergent. My biggest issue is with the listing. The photo in the listing shows a lovely view with trees and distant buildings. As you can see from my photos, it actually faces another apartment building. You have a direct view into the fitness room across the narrow street (and they leave the lights on all night). Also, the description states that it is a “Parisian style” apartment, with mouldings, etc. The only thing “Parisian style” about the place is the small Eiffel Tower model next to the stove. The style is actually modern and very spare. Nothing wrong with that, but all the details should be accurate in the title and the listing. Also, the apartment is missing some basic necessities for comfort and convenience. There is no place to put suitcases except on the floor, not even a dresser to use for unpacking. Very odd for a guest accommodation. We would have appreciated having written instructions in the apartment to go along with those communicated via text and VRBO messages. A paper map and simple guidebook would have been welcome as well. This is a fairly good choice to stay, but could be so much better with just a few simple additions.
