Modern kitchen & bathrooms, filtered air & water and a lovely outdoor area make it ideal for families or groups wanting to live like a local.
The Space:
One of the standout features of this location is direct access to Newcastle’s iconic waterfront cycleways and walkways. Ride or stroll the scenic Throsby Creek Loop through Wickham and Honeysuckle, following the harbour all the way to Nobbys Lighthouse and Newcastle Beach. It’s a flat, family-friendly path lined with cafés, parks, mangroves and uninterrupted harbour views — ideal for casual rides, pram walks or coffee runs by the sea.
Inside, the cottage has been thoughtfully renovated with comfort, health and sustainability in mind. The home runs on solar and features Ventis air filtration and Puretec water filtration throughout. Enjoy three comfortable bedrooms, two modern bathrooms and a light-filled living space designed for relaxing after a day exploring.
The outdoor area is a true highlight, designed to be enjoyed year-round with wind-down blinds to manage heat, light rain and insects. It includes heaters, a fan, TV, BBQ, dining area and a comfortable lounge, all overlooking an adorable self-watering herb garden and a play area for children.

PLEASE NOTE: Mathieson Street is incredibly narrow. This area was built in 1890 and was designed for only a horse and cart to travel up it! Even though you can park infront of the home, (if your car is small enough), we recommend parking on Elizabeth Street, just a few metres away from the home. There are no time constraints or ticketing to be concerned about.
