Sunshine at the Beacon is a year-round lakefront retreat on all-sports Wiggins Lake in Gladwin, Michigan. This bright and welcoming home sleeps up to eight guests and offers the perfect mix of relaxation and play, with swimming from the dock, a fire-pit for evenings by the water, and beautiful lake views in every season. Inside, enjoy cozy sleeping spaces, a fully equipped kitchen, fast WiFi, and entertainment for all ages—including a classic arcade game, giant Connect 4, and board games. Whether you're soaking up summer sunshine or enjoying a peaceful winter getaway, Sunshine at the Beacon is a comfortable home base for making lasting memories.

Dock: There is a 4 foot long dock available to use from Memorial Day to Labor Day. 10 steps down to the dock.

Drinking Water: Well water at the property. There is a filtered water dispenser on the refrigerator.

Drugs/Smoking/Fireworks: Freshwater does not permit illegal drugs of any kind on the property. Due to the location of the properties, smoking is strongly discouraged around the home and strictly prohibited in the home. Fireworks are prohibited at a Freshwater location for the safety of all persons in and around the property, even if it is legal in that city.

Fire-pit: There is a fire-pit for guest use.

Fishing: Anglers may catch Pike, Walleye, Perch, Rock Bass, and Sunfish in Wiggins Lake.

Fishing License: A license is required to fish in Michigan.

Fishing Poles: Please bring your own. Poles are not provided.

Golf: Gladwin Heights Golf Course is nearby

Grill: There is a propane gas grill

Grocery Store: Family Fare Grocery is 3.2 miles away

Linens: Yes, we provide your sheets and linens. Just like a hotel, the beds will be made for you upon arrival. We have just the basic sheets, pillows, pillowcases, bath towels, and beach towels.

Parking: There is room for 4 cars and 2 trailers

Pets: No pets allowed at the property.

Privacy: There are neighbors directly next door.

Snowmobiles: a person (resident and nonresident) that operates a snowmobile in Michigan is required to purchase a snowmobile trail permit. The trail permit enables snowmobilers to ride state-designated trails and thousands more miles of public roads and on public lands (where authorized). It is valid for one year, which begins Oct. 1 and ends Sept. 30 of the following year. State-designated trails are open Dec. 1-March 31 and grooming occurs when there is enough snow on the ground.

Special Features: There is a giant Connect 4 game, and a Ms. Pacman/Galaga arcade type video game, Cornhole, Giant Jenga set, and board games to enjoy.

Seniors: Seniors are welcome, but there are steps to navigate the property.
