Downtown Pretty Place is a charmingly renovated 1940's craftsman home that is centrally located, well-appointed and comfortably furnished. Walk Downtown and to the Music District. We are dog-friendly (additional fees charged for each dog). Each dog must be approved by your Host prior to booking and Guest must agree in writing to our Pet Policy - see below. We strike a good balance between welcoming your pups and ensuring that each Guest can enjoy a pretty, clean and damage free stay.
This home has a front porch and shared pavilion that our guests love to come back to! Flowers abound at Downtown Pretty Place in both the front and back yards. Downtown Pretty Place also shares a pretty community pavilion for outdoor dining a red egg for grilling, and it's own fire pit under the stars. Comments from guests upon check in are "This home is very special’, “We love it - thank you!", “You all have thought of everything for us. Thank you!"
The Neighborhood Overview
South Oaklawn Avenue is a lovely, historic street that meets Main Street in downtown. Walkers, runners and bikers all take advantage of our pretty area on the city sidewalk that runs in front of our community. The Brevard Bike Path that passes by Oskar Blues Brewery and ends at the Pisgah Forest is but two blocks away. Brevard Music Center, a jewel of our beautiful city, is less than a mile away. Many patrons, parents of students, and even staff make their home with us for a brief period during the music season.
When you stay with us you are only steps to Main Street with establishments such as Wild Morel, the Blue Ridge Bakery, the Co-Ed movie theater, coffee shops, bakeries, barber shops, shopping, casual and fine dining, and wonderful music venues. Our city offices and library are but a short walk away. Walk, run, bike, or drive to all that our quaint downtown has to offer!
Dog Policy
Dogs must be pre-approved prior to booking. Simply contact us agreeing to our pet policy and pay the additional pet fee of $50 plus $10 per night. We are pet lovers and find a balance between allowing one dog and ensuring that all of our future guests can enjoy a pretty, clean home. We consider pets on a case-by-case basis. Here are our requirements:
- 1 adult dog that is not aggressive
- Less than 30 pounds
- Dog must be crated when left unsupervised
- Guest agrees that their dog is not allowed on furniture or beds
- Dog must not be left in the fenced yard unattended
- Outside, the dog must be on a leash

Check In and Check Out and Minimum Length of Stay
Check-in is anytime between 4 and 9 pm. Check-out is before 11 am. If you desire an early check-in or late check-out, please ask! If we can accommodate you we will. If you need to stay only one night, send us a message. We will consider the reservation if we can!

Collectively we can accommodate up to 18 guests in 9 bedrooms with 5 bathrooms. Each home has 2 car parking, private yards with outdoor dining, and all of the amenities and special touches for which we are known. When booked together as a special event, Guests have private access to the entire community. There is a gathering place with a pavilion, large fire pit, and grill set-up surrounded by gardens and an outdoor swing. Contact us here on this platform to discuss availability and suitability! While we live next door, your privacy is respected. Prior to your arrival we are happy to answer questions and provide information for your upcoming trip and during your stay. Should any concern arise, please contact us immediately so that we can resolve it for you. Our goal is to provide a premiere Brevard stay!
Getting Around
A car is strongly recommended for enjoying our beautiful mountain paths and waterfalls, as well as other attractions outside of Downtown Brevard. Once you arrive however, you can park your car and walk to anything downtown as well as the Lumberyard Arts and Music District on King Street. Ride your bike on our bike paths that begins close to home. Drive or bike to the Brevard Music Center and Bracken Mountain (both .9 mile). The Pisgah and DuPont Forests, Oskar Blues Brewery, the Blue Ridge Parkway and other attractions are but a short drive away.
Brevard is the land of 250 waterfalls and amazing music. This is a special city unlike any other surrounded by authentic cuisine, inspired art, friendly people, outdoor adventures, mountain splendor, and so much more. No parking downtown? No problem for our Guests. Is it raining - no problem! Put on a poncho and head downtown. Come stay with us!
