A stay at Twenty Eleven offers a unique and memorable experience. Our location provides easy access to Sawtell's patrolled surf beach at the end of the street, and the vibrant main street, with its selection of eateries and the historic Sawtell Cinema, is just a 10-minute walk away. For those seeking the amenities of a larger regional city, Coffs Harbour is a short 15-minute drive.
We have transformed our former 8-desk architecture studio into a spacious two-bedroom short-stay accommodation, comfortably hosting up to four guests. The generous ground-floor spaces are adorned with artworks and design classics. We've also included two active, plug-and-play individual workstations with complimentary internet access, ideal for guests visiting for work. Twenty Eleven is a completely separate and secure space with private access.
Upon entering through a large pivot door, you'll find a foyer that also features a plug-and-play work desk.
Twenty Eleven offers two comfortable queen bedroom suites. Bed Suite 1 includes a queen bed, a wardrobe, a leather recliner, a three-seat couch, and a dedicated plug-and-play desk for work. For evening relaxation, a selection of novels is provided. Bed Suite 2 features a comfortable queen bed with hanging and storage space.
The comfortable and serene living area seamlessly opens onto a bamboo-screened Japanese courtyard. This space showcases unique original artworks, a plush three-seater couch, and a Sawtell Cinema chair, perfect for viewing the LG 65-inch OLED TV.
The dining area features a large glossy table with four rolling chairs. The well-equipped strip kitchenette includes an induction cooktop, a combo microwave and oven, an air fryer, a boiling/filtered water unit, a dishwasher, a coffee machine, and a fridge freezer.
We are committed to environmental responsibility, with solar-powered in-slab heated floors for winter and solar plenum air conditioning for summer. Our hot water is also solar powered. Additionally we have an air filter system.
We invite you to come, stay, and enjoy a relaxing break at Twenty Eleven.

We recently converted my former architectural office into "Twenty Eleven," creating a stylish and spacious two-bedroom retreat designed for maximum guest comfort and relaxation.
In our personal time, Alan and I love to travel, and we also host a madrigal choir. Our public relations ambassador, Gus, a friendly Groodle dog, is also a big part of our lives!
We are interested in all things arty and techie. We are very keen on our high tech house and its solar benefits. (especially EV)

This property has a long history for us, starting when we purchased it back in 1981. At that time, Sawtell was charming but undeveloped, and we were drawn by its potential for a sea change from Sydney. The block had one small cottage and was only five minutes from the ocean.
We initially lived in the cottage, then built a basic home and converted the cottage into our office. The basic home was renovated multiple times over the years and is now Ginger, our other rental property.
When the cottage office reached the end of its useful life, we decided to construct a new, experimental building. This structure was designed to house our office and a retirement apartment for ourselves. We have since converted the former office area of that building into Twenty Eleven.
Today, Sawtell has become an icon of liveability. Its small, tree-lined village features ample cafes and restaurants, all highlighted by the heritage Sawtell Cinema.
