Shiretoko & Notsuke "Live like a Local"|Cozy Family Home by Private Guide
== Live Like a Local at the Gateway to World Heritage Shiretoko & Notsuke ==
Mother River Stays -Stream Inn Shibetsu Honioi- is an exclusive private home limited to one group per day, located in Shibetsu on the far eastern edge of Hokkaido along the Nemuro Strait. The Sea of Okhotsk spreads out right before your eyes, and on clear days, you can gaze out at Kunashiri Island on the horizon.
This is not just a sightseeing base. It is a home where you can enjoy a "living journey"—immersing yourself in the daily life of the "Sacred Place of Salmon" with a local guide, boasting 10,000 years of history.
**A Private Retreat Perfect for Families and Groups**
We have renovated a 30-year-old traditional Japanese house to meet modern standards of comfort. Relax in a completely private space without worrying about other guests or staff.
> Cozy Living & Dining Area: Buy local ingredients to cook together or chat about your travel memories. Please enjoy a relaxing time with your family and friends.
> Peace of Mind for Families with Children: In addition to beds in the bedroom, futons can be laid out in the Japanese-style Tatami room. We provide children's chairs, toilet seats, and tableware so families with small children can take off their shoes and relax just like at home.
> Long Stays & Workations: Equipped with a full kitchen, washing machine, high-speed Wi-Fi, and workspace. Enjoy a comfortable stay without inconvenience, even for visits of a week or longer.
**Prime Location as a Travel Base**
Located exactly halfway between the Shiretoko Peninsula and the Nemuro Peninsula, offering smooth access to major spots in Eastern Hokkaido. It is also close to town for convenience while offering coastal scenery.

Having completed GSTC (Global Sustainable Tourism Council) training, she ensures a safe experience suitable for families to touch the "real" Hokkaido. (Reservation required / Extra charge)
>"A Heritage of Salmon" Historical Tour: A walking tour exploring 10,000 years of culture and stories.
> Seasonal Food Experiences: Watch salmon or scallop unloading with local fishermen, or join the "Hokkai Shrimp Tour." Taste emotions found only in that season.
