Beach Break is a light-filled bungalow retreat, thoughtfully designed for your West Coast escape. Tucked just a short stroll from the beach and the heart of Hokitika, this cozy haven welcomes you to unwind in comfort. With lovely linens on comfy beds and an accessible walk-in shower, it’s the perfect base for adventures big or small.

Beach Break is the perfect home away from home and just a five-minute walk from the beautiful Tasman Sea. Whether you're passing through, working away, or enjoying a few days on the coast, you'll find its warm atmosphere inviting. You can relax in the hanging chair with a good book while the hours float by.

Step outside and explore the breathtaking beauty of Hokitika's wild West Coast. Take a sunset walk along the beach or heritage trails, or simply marvel at how the town's fairy lights adding colour to the nightscape all year round.

Beach Break is conveniently located only minutes from the beach and town. It provides off-street parking, ultra-fast unlimited WIFI, and excellent natural light making it an excellent workspace when you're on the move.

Beach Break is only 5 mins drive in a car or taxi from Hokitika airport.
From Christchurch - It is a 3.5 hour stunning drive over the Alps through Arthur"s Pass.
From Nelson - It is a 5 hour drive along an amazing coastal road.
From Queenstown - It is a 7 hour drive through ever changing scenery.



HEAT PUMP:
We have a fabulous new heat pump being installed on the 10th May 2023. Please note the old fireplace in the photos has since been removed.

PARKING:
Off Street Parking is available. Part of the driveway is shared but the neighbours Murray and Jan are super lovely and there is plenty of room for all.

YES, WE ARE DOG FRIENDLY:
We understand the joy of travelling with your furry friend, which is why we love to welcome well-behaved and quiet pets that sleep on their own beds. If you know your pooch likes to jump (as we know they sometimes do!), we kindly ask that you bring their own blankets to protect the furniture.

Please remember to add your pet to your reservation. We need to account for extra time to deep clean the property to ensure it's spotless and allergy-free and that future pet owners and non-pet owners alike have a wonderful stay.
