This was our second visit to the apartment. Our host, Mick had kindly stored our large luggage for us while we were away. We were also met at the station by Mick who took us shopping and then back to the apartment. We cannot sing the praises of our host enough. He was wonderful. The apartment now has some more inside plants which made the atmosphere that much better again! This time we found the cafe across the road from the apartment which had been under our noses all of the last time we stayed. A return visit is definitely recommended.

The host, Mick goes well beyond the expected when it comes to making a smooth check-in. We arrived by train at 2.00am and Mick made sure we had access to a warm (yes it was 2 degrees Celsius outside) apartment with the bed made up and gorgeous, clean surroundings. The nearest eateries are unique being an old pump-house and saddlery. They can be reached within a 1 minute walk. Super vegetarian food (since that is our diet) was plentiful at the pump-house including a separate large menu. A short walk along the river to 'The Forks' is a must. Very picturesque.Mick showed us a bit of Winnipeg as well. His generosity was outstanding. We will always choose this place to stay on any return to Winnipeg.
