Moose Tracks Inn: Family Friendly and Wheelchair Accessible.

This cabin was designed with families in mind, and you will have room to spread out in this spacious newer cabin with 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. Large kitchen, dining room, and great room with gas fireplace opens onto inviting deck with BBQ. Two car garage has wheelchair ramp into house, and master bath has roll-in shower, and all of main floor and deck are wheelchair accessible. Spacious family room downstairs also has gas fireplace and internet TV, DVD and VCR (but if you're going to Island Park to watch TV, you're going for the wrong reason ;). Bonus room upstairs is the perfect get-away spot for the kids to play. Study downstairs is ideal for someone needing quiet, or those who don't sleep at night. Fire pit and benches are great for outdoor gatherings, and the Island boat launch is only 1000 feet from the cabin, so bring your water toys or fishing poles.

There are many things to do in the area within a short distance, so come enjoy what nature has to offer in all seasons. Island Park is a fisherman’s paradise, and Henry’s Fork of the Snake River has been called the best trout stream in the lower 48. Henry’s Lake is also well known for its fishing, but there are also lots of small rivers and streams to try out. Summers are beautiful here for boating and other watersports, hiking, horseback riding, riding ATVs, golfing, and tennis, and Yellowstone is only 30 miles away. Wintertime is magical in Island Park with an average annual snowfall of 192 inches. There are close to 1000 miles of groomed trails for snow machines, as well as cross country skiing. Heated garage is ideal for snowmobiles, and wet winter clothes. Downhill skiing at Grand Targhee resort is 1 1/2 hours away. Or just come do some sightseeing and enjoy the beauties of nature.

Wonderful location and gorgeous roomy cabin!

We stayed at Moose tracks inn with our family and it was wonderful! The cabin is clean, roomy and surrounded by gorgeous nature! We enjoyed close areas for kayaking, hiking and swimming and also Yellowstone! Highly recommend staying here!

Perfect getaway for our family

The cabin was ideal for our family of 13. The living space was perfect for all of us to sit down to a meal or play a game together. The kitchen was well-stocked with pans and a few essentials, and the cabin was very clean. We loved our time there.

Amazing location!

We held our family reunion here and it was perfect! We loved the lake nearby for kayaking. The neighbors were quiet and friendly and we loved watching the wildlife. The hosts were friendly and gave us great information before our stay. We had no problems during our visit. We'll definitely be back.

We had the BEST time !

Cabin clean, well stocked and family friendly. There were so many extras, first aid kit, games, crayons for the kids, markers, tape anything you would need at home highly recommend this cabin! We will come again. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Great stay in Island Park

Had a great experience at this property during our Yellowstone trip. Plenty of room for 8 adults and 3 kids. Only 35 minutes from Yellowstone entrance. Property looks brand new. We grilled out two nights, and ate at the Lakeside Lodge 3 nights. Highly recommend.

Family reunion

We loved this cabin for our large family reunion! It was beautiful, clean, and had everything we needed. We loved the open feel. Great kitchen and dining area with plenty of seating. The owners thought of everything to make it a comfortable and fun place to gather, as well as providing info on activities and attractions around the area. We would stay here again!

Awesome Property!!

This property is everything the description says and more. Our family and friend group of 14 had plenty of room for everyone and the downstairs game room was great for the kids to have their own space. The house was clean and definitely family friendly and the owners were great too. We will definitely be coming back!!

Communication with Bonnie was excellent for questions. Directions for the cabin were helpful. We noted the distance from gate to cabin was a little longer than 0.9 miles. Kitchen had ample room and supplies.

We loved the house. Very beautiful island. The only thing we would have liked to see is a better way to get in. The one gate key for a large party was a bit of a hassle and building for the lock box is not in the best location. Also we would have liked to have the horse shoe pit and fire ring cleaned up of the weeds so we could utilize.

Place of Wonderful Memories

This place was perfect for our family reunion. It was especially nice to find a handicap accessible place for my father who is mostly confined to a wheelchair. Not only was there a ramp from the garage into the home and handicap accessible bathroom, but even a lift chair. It truly was a Godsend. The home is spacious, the furniture is all very comfortable, and the kitchen was the best equipped of any I have ever seen in a vacation rental. There was also plenty of drawers and closet space to unpack and truly make yourself at home. There really wasn’t anything I didn’t like about this place. It’s well located, beautiful, peaceful, well equipped, and even has a nice fire pit with seating for roasting hot dogs and making s’mores. Communications with the owners was quick, efficient, and pleasant. We will definitely come back if they will have us. Thanks for sharing your home with my family. Your attention to detail was noticed and appreciated.

Family Vacation

Moose Tracks Inn in IP Bills Island is an amazing place. Perfect for our family of 14. We had a mama moose and twin claves in our yard most days/evenings. Snowed one day and it was beautiful! Ron and Bonnie Peterson live in Pleasant Grove, UT, but both hail from Idaho. Ron spent a lot of time in Island Park as a youth and we have brought our children and grandchildren here for vacations for the past 45 years.

We built this cabin for our family, with yours in mind. We designed it for a group to enjoy with large spaces where they can gather for games, eating, or just visiting. The bathrooms were designed to accommodate multiple people at a time. The bedrooms are roomy and allow space for all the “stuff” we bring with us on vacation.

We became aware from several friends that finding lodging for those in wheelchairs was difficult. Our cabin main floor and deck are wheelchair accessible so that everyone in your group can enjoy their visit.
