The Getaway is a newly built, modern home nestled in the foothills of the Remarkables in Queenstown, the ultimate adventure capital of the world.
It's great for a small group who wants the comfort of their own space and the convenience of getting around.
With the ever-changing colours of the Remarkables as your view, the Coronet Peak in the distance, it is about having a relaxing place to unwind after a day of exploring Queenstown. You might be lucky enough to see an aurora or two!
Relax and enjoy a home with a minimalist design and modern amenities.
With a home-away-from-home feel, The Getaway has all the creature comfort you would need. It is a single-level home that is connected to the main home (where we live) but is fully self-contained.
There is little light pollution in the neighbourhood so we encourage you to look at the night sky as it is simply breathtaking.
It has two (2) queen bedrooms (Ecosa medium/firm mattresses), a sofa bed that converts into a double bed, and a bathroom. The dining table can be extended to a slightly bigger table with four (4) chairs.
The Getaway can accommodate a maximum of five (5) people but due to the space, there are only four (4) chairs. This maximum occupancy is also a legal restriction by the council which has to be followed.
Car park:
A dedicated off-street car park is available.
EV Charging:
Use your own charging cable to charge your EV.
Security:
There is one outdoor security camera mounted on the side of the property facing The Getaway's dedicated car park and entrance for security purposes.
Heating/cooling:
There is a heat pump/AC unit in the living room, a duvet and an electric blanket heater on each of the beds (except the sofa bed) together with an extra blanket in the room's wardrobe.
Washer/Dryer:
The accommodation has its own washer/dryer combo located in the tri-fold door by the kitchen where you can find the detergent container and pegs as well as a clothesline in the backyard.

We have a 10-year-old super eager Border Collie recovering from his knee surgery who lives in the main home. He has access to the backyard of the main home but prefers to hang out with his humans. He does not have access to The Getaway's side of the fence.
You have your own front and side entrance. The side entrance leads to the fully-fenced backyard which is locked for your privacy.
Although The Getaway is separate and self-contained, we live in the main home where the property is connected.
The Getaway is in the highly sought-after residential village of Hanleys Farm. As such, you will see a number of houses currently being built. There are a couple of houses under construction in the area during normal business hours.
If you're facing the home and walk to the left, you'll see a walkway at the end of the street. When you get to the end of the street and turn left, it'll take you to an open area with barbecue facilities which you can use. If you turn right, you can take a short stroll toward one of the best playgrounds in Queenstown that will entertain almost all ages.
From the accommodation, you are a minute's walk away from the nearest bus stop. There is only one zone for the bus so you only get charged the same fee regardless of where you get off.
