Castaways a charming 2-bedroom house, walking distance to everything in Dunwich. There is a queen size bed in bed 1, double in bed 2. PLEASE RESPECT OUR NEIGHBOURS especially when it come to the noise you make. Enjoy a BBQ on the Deck or a short stroll into town to visit the local restaurants and Brewery. We are pet friendly with a fully fenced yard. We charge a small $20 AUD fee per stay for your pet. The cottage backs onto Straddie Super Sports a store that stocks just about everything, just incase you forget to bring something it’s so handy. If you are into fishing there is also a good range of bait and tackle in store.
Dunwich is ideally located near both vehicle and passenger ferry terminals and is the perfect base camp for your family holidays. A great base to explore the islands wonderful attractions and activities. Wake up in Dunwich, stroll down for a swim in the calm bayside beach or take a short drive to the stunning brown lake, blue lake, golf course, museum, walk to the Little Ship Club, Straddie Brewing, Sharks Football Club with excellent Thai Restaurant, Cafe near by grab breakfast and coffee. The island has so much to offer including the stunning Point Lookout Gorge walk and amazing surf beaches.

Second time staying. As before, beautiful, well appointed and everything you might need is thought of. Great dog yard and communications with hosts excellent. The cottage is so welcoming, feels like home and even with a rainy and windy day we were happy to just enjoy inside. We didn't want to leave!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage. We were struck by how immaculately clean and spacious the rooms were. Plenty of space for a family to spread themselves around in. We weren't short of finding a room to relax in with the comfy bean bags and a sofa or two to lounge on.A lot of thought and consideration for guests went into the finer details in the cottage, from furnishings, decor and provision of everything imaginable in a fully equipped kitchen to board games, a printer even. A home away from home. The swings and slide was a bonus for my 2yr old granddaughter.Neil and Linda were very pleasant to communicate with and the entire experience went so smoothly that I highly recommend staying here as we chose Dunwich as our base and made daily trips to Brown Lake, Amity and Point Lookout.

This is the second time we have stayed at this charming little cottage. The kitchen is amazingly kitted out, the linen is of great quality and the hosts have really tried to think of everything that you would need during your stay.

It’s a very nice, cozy, newly renovated cottage. I was expecting two beds and even brought an air mattress for my boy. Surprisingly the hosts set up an additional double bed and it makes stay much more comfortable (thanks to Neil and Linda). The kitchen is nice with full set of kitchenware and we cooked our dinner every night. It’s only 20 mins driving from point of lookout and amity point. We pretty much drive there and play at beach every day. We brought our dog Cooper along and he has already happily claimed the yard as his territory. Linda and Neil did a great job and thanks for hosting us. Hopefully we could come to visit again next year.
