We also really appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. The door latches you mentioned hadn’t been brought to our attention before, so we’ll be sure to have these checked promptly. The staircase itself is solid and stable; however, it sounds like a decorative tread may have come loose, and we’ll have that fixed straight away. Thank you as well for your comments about the seating — we’re always looking for ways to make the space even more comfortable for our guests. I wonder if you didn’t know to turn on the heat pump? As it is a very warm modern house. Wall thickness is exactly the same as any modern house built in New Zealand. The home is set in a quieter location just 800m direct from town, which many guests love for the peace and privacy, though we understand it may feel a little further out for some as there is a good hill to walk up.
