Family Bush Villa with Rooftop & Hot Tub
A safari experience to share
Villa Mangwa is our spacious private bush villa for families and friends who want to experience the African wilderness together, without giving up comfort, space or privacy. Set on Silonque Holiday Estate, directly bordering Kruger National Park, the villa accommodates up to 6 guests and is only around 15 minutes from Phalaborwa Gate.
Wildlife roams freely across the estate, so the safari experience doesn't necessarily begin when you enter Kruger. Elephants, giraffes, antelope and other animals may appear around the villa, and a small waterhole nearby attracts wildlife throughout the year.
Space to be together, privacy when you want it
Mangwa has three spacious bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom and outdoor shower. The main bedroom has a king-size bed, while the other two bedrooms have twin beds. This makes the villa particularly comfortable for families, couples travelling together or a group of friends: everyone has their own private space, while the generous living areas are designed for spending time together.
At the heart of the villa is a large open-plan living area with a comfortable lounge, dining area and fully equipped kitchen. Large doors connect the interior with the outdoor living spaces, allowing the sounds and atmosphere of the bush to become part of your stay.
Your own place in the African bush
Outside, there is plenty of space to relax, dine together or enjoy a traditional South African braai. After a day exploring Kruger, unwind in your private hot tub and listen to the sounds of the bush around you.
One of Mangwa's highlights is the large rooftop deck. From here, you can look out across the surrounding bushveld, watch for wildlife and birds, enjoy the African sunset together and, after dark, experience a night sky far away from city lights.
Guests also have access to the shared facilities of Silonque Holiday Estate, including two swimming pools, a tennis court and viewpoint.
Kruger on your doorstep
Phalaborwa Gate is approximately 15 minutes away, making Mangwa an excellent base for early-morning game drives and full days in Kruger National Park. Phalaborwa itself is also around 15 minutes away for supermarkets, shops and restaurants.
But Mangwa isn't a place you have to leave every day to experience Africa. Sometimes the most memorable moments happen at home: breakfast while watching the bush, an unexpected wildlife visitor, sunset from the rooftop or an evening together under the stars.
Before arrival, you'll receive access to our Luxury Safari Homes Guest App with directions, check-in information, details about the villa and estate, local recommendations, activities, restaurants, wildlife information and practical tips for your stay. Our local host and team are also nearby whenever assistance is needed.
Villa Mangwa is about experiencing the African bush together, with enough space for everyone to make themselves at home.

Über den Gastgeber
Zu Gast bei Guido Bos
We are Mireille and Guido from the Netherlands. We run our own business and share a great love for South Africa, its wildlife and the African bush. Our safari homes are also our own places to escape to, so we know them as guests as well as hosts.
Because we can't be in South Africa all year, we love sharing this experience with other travellers. We want our guests to feel at home, enjoy their privacy and have everything they need to make the most of their stay.
We work closely with our local host and team, and every guest receives access to our own Luxury Safari Homes Guest App with practical information, check-in details, local recommendations, activities, restaurants and wildlife information.
Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft
We fell in love with this area because you don't have to choose between staying close to Kruger and experiencing the bush at home.
Silonque Holiday Estate borders Kruger National Park, with wildlife roaming freely around the villas. You can wake up to the sounds of the bush, spot animals without leaving the estate and still be at Phalaborwa Gate in around 15 minutes for a day in Kruger.
Phalaborwa is also close enough for supermarkets, shops and restaurants, while destinations such as Blyde River Canyon, the Panorama Route, Magoebaskloof and Hoedspruit make wonderful day trips.
For us, it's the combination that makes this location special: wilderness and tranquillity when you want them, with Kruger and everything you need within easy reach.
Das macht diese Unterkunft einzigartig
Mangwa is all about experiencing the African bush together. With three spacious en-suite bedrooms, each with its own outdoor shower, the villa gives up to six guests plenty of privacy while the generous living and outdoor areas bring everyone together.
Wildlife roams freely around the estate and a small waterhole near the villa regularly attracts animals. But one of our favourite places is the large rooftop deck. From here you can look across the bushveld, watch wildlife and birds, enjoy the sunset together and later experience the African night sky.
Add your own private hot tub, outdoor living spaces and braai, and Mangwa becomes much more than simply somewhere to sleep between game drives. It's a place where the safari experience continues when you come home from Kruger.
