This was an excellent property for our extended family (including grandchild). The house is tastefully decorated, has three levels of living space which worked well for us and has an exceptional collection of screened in porches which was most valuable during periods of rain. It is a 5 minute ride into the heart of Highlands and located within a quiet small community of homes. The Rent in Highland team provided crisp and responsive communication.

Perched in the trees at the end of quiet, dead-end street, the Hillside Terrace was a perfectly tranquil escape for us. The home feels neatly tucked away in the woods and offers spacious yet cozy spaces both inside and out. Everything was exactly as described and felt clean and comfortable. My husband and I come back to Highlands again and again. It’s truly one of our favorite get-aways. This time we were fortunate to bring along 3 other couples. This home is perfectly situated close to downtown and beautifully decoratedInside and out. Eeach couple had their own room with comfortable beds and plenty of space. We prepared every meal here and the kitchen was very well appointed witheverything you need. We really enjoyed all the outdoor spaces, the grill and the outdoor firepit not to mention the deer that came to visit every morning in the backyard. Our host thought of everything and we couldn’t have been more pleased. Definitely recommend and would return. Thank you for providing such a beautiful and comfortable place to relax and spend time with our family and friends.

We enjoyed the home very much and our family had plenty of room to grill, sit on th porch, play cards, see waterfalls and shop. Beds were comfortable, kitchen well stocked, clean quarters and plenty of instructions to maneuver everything. A rat snake was the only odd visitor!

It sounds like your family made the absolute most of everything Highlands has to offer — grilling, porch sitting, card games, waterfall hikes, and shopping sounds like a perfect mountain itinerary to us! As for your unexpected reptile visitor — rat snakes are actually great neighbors to have around these parts, completely harmless and very good at keeping the real pests away! Great property at the end of the road up a short hilly drive. Close to Downtown Highlands. Well appointed four bedroom house with a beautiful downhill, well landscaped back yard. A bonus was the resident Wood Thrush calls every morning and evening.
