Large home but needs a lot of updating.

I booked this for our work group of 8 people for 5 days. It was close to NRG stadium where we were working. The furniture could use some updating, none of the dresser drawers would stay shut, and others were so hard to enough get open. Drawers had all kind of stuff in them. Condoms in two rooms. Glad with didn’t have kids with us. Stand up mirror in one bedroom, the leg was broke and fell hitting one of us. The master bedroom had no lamps and was very dark, we had to open blinds to even see. The shower in master bath was AWFUL! Nothing we did made the sprayer work right. It sprayed everywhere, getting floor and rug all wet. If you turn it down it was a fine mist. We travel a lot and it was one of the worst ever used, It should have been replaced a long time ago. Really Bad! I didn’t realize in a house this size that there was No washer and dryer, which they didn’t list one, but it did list towels, and we were staying 5 days. There was very few towels or wash clothes. No hand towel in half bath. We had to go to Walmart and buy towels because there wasn’t enough and no way to wash them. It did list paper towels, there was none or napkins, had to go buy too. There wasn’t any dish towels in kitchen either, so paper towels were needed. The up bath had whole wall with different colors of paint.Weird looking, like someone tried to touch up with wrong color of paint. House stated no smoking, which was fine but back porch had full pack of cigarettes and two lighters sitting on table.

NICE HOME...BUT!

The home is nice and VERY SPACIOUS . All rooms are large, including the bedrooms. Host was easy to communicate with via the app.The "BUT".....The property can use some DEEP CLEANING! Certain areas of the property has thick dust build up, including the filter vents. The dust on the filter vents was extremely thick. The sheets had permanent stains and one bed had loose dirt on the fitted sheet. The bed sheets were extremely thin, you could fill everything on the mattress. Probably need to invest in a new mattress for the king bed as it has an excessive amount of fuzz balls on the mattress, which you can feel thru the sheets. A few of the pillows need to be thrown away due to flat and stained (yellow and red).The showerhead in the master bathroom has a thick build up of hard water calcium. Really needs to be replaced.The towels and wash clothes provided were thin and some had permanent stains on them or holes.Not enough closet space for a four bedroom house. No hangers provided - so bring your own.Need to repair the 2 windows on the property.The kitchen has a nice sub zero refrigerator but needs to be defrosted and minor cleaning.Pots & Silverware are a little dated. The trash can drawer was either broke or off track.The house has potential!! Just need to put a a little TLC into it and a strong effort into cleaning and replacing worn-out items. Home was overall nice. However communication with the host was lacking. I messaged a couple of times and was ignored. Had an issue with fridge and lost groceries and food and was told it wasn’t the hostess problem. Then hostess lied to VRBO about our conversation and requests that were made.

Eclectic Relaxing Home Away from Home - 4BD 2.5BT Huge Backyard

The only thing that was correct about this place was the large back yard. I had no problem getting checked in. As soon as I walked through the door, I smelled an odor. I later found out that the odor was cigarettes. NONE SMOKING. Which was why I was smelling the odor. The cleaning service that I was charged for is "NOT" doing their job. 1. There was dust on furniture, plants and personal papers. Someone needs to box up all of the personal item and properly dispose of them. 2. The sheet where discolored "not white" but should have been. There was stain on the comforters, there was a dirty bath towel hanging in one of the closets. 3. The bathroom had left over used soap and trash. The toilet paper was so low, I had to purchase some. The master bedroom shower door needs to be fixed. 4. The refrigerator/freezer was reported broke in October 2024 and still is broken. The cleaning crew could have at least thrown away all of the leftovers. 5.There were so many different types of furniture in the rooms until it was uncomfortable. Some chairs the seats were not sealed down. The stools around the kitchen island where unsafe/broken. 6. Each television had a different type of internet connection. The television where very hard to work. 7. The central a/c system only would heat upstairs. The downstairs was cold. (The window in the living area that was damaged, and air was coming in). The airduct vents in the dining area coming down. 8. Need to make changes

The house was overall nice.

The house overall was nice. Their were a few things that i wish i would have been informed about before i arrived. Like the fridge was partially broken, which emitted a very bad fragrance. The trash cans were full of wood that i refused to move. It was so heavy. I had to discard my trash in other ways to get the house back to its original condition. Also the one towel per bedroom was mighty confusing. Seeing as though they knew i booked for 9 adults & 2 kids. I changed the reservation at the last min basically to inform them that i had switched out the 2 kids for one adult. They changed me $10 dollars... but for what though? Nothing changed but the amount of adults. But other then those three things. The house was nice for the most part clean & in a nice neighborhood.
