Everything was just perfect, this is a fantastic spot - the amenities were great, incredible view and the house is spacious, well laid out and with the added bonus of the pool table and darts board kept us all entertained. Would definitely want to come back again. Karen is a great hostess, easy to communicate with. Can highly recommended this property

Great property, spectacular views. Be aware that the master bedroom is a loft and is not soundproof downstairs.Very spacious and lots of great outdoor space especially the games room. Overall wonderful for a family and groups of people reuniting.

We just loved this bach. We stayed over winter and even on a mega rainy day it was perfect. The games room is a total win! Comfy beds, cosy fore, great kitchen, amazing book selection and great for teenagers.

We had a lovely stay! The house is set in a beautiful location, was spotlessly clean, and had all the amenities we needed. The host was very responsive and helpful throughout. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Great views, lots of space especially with a billiards/recreation room in a second building. Best to arrive in the day time as signage is minimal and ignore google map's instruction to 'turn right' 100m before Totara Ridge Lodge! We used the woodstove on the first night - it was an easy light and quickly warmed the place. The cane woodbasket needs to be kept well away from the woodstove - you can see a scorch mark where an earlier visitor must have moved it too close to the heat.....

We absolutely loved our long weekend at this property. The hosts were incredibly kind and accommodating; they allowed us to check in early and check out late, which they certainly didn't have to do, but it was a gesture we truly appreciated. The home is beautiful and very well-equipped, and the views are spectacular. Additionally, the fireplace heats the entire house, so even though we stayed in July, the upstairs bedroom remained nice and warm.100% recommended and we would love to come back! Thank you, Karen!

We had a fantastic weekend stay. Communication with the host was excellent from start to finish. They were quick to reply, helpful with any questions, and made the whole booking process really smooth.The house is perfect for a group. There was plenty of space for everyone to spread out and relax without feeling crowded.The kids especially loved the pool room and there was so much for them to do in there.There are also plenty of activities close by. We easily drove into Whangarei and Waipu for outings, which made for a great mix of downtime at the house and exploring the area.Overall a really enjoyable stay, we’d happily return!

Beautiful place to stay

We stayed for 2 nights in this beautiful place just 10 minutes from Ruakaka beach in a lovely farm setting. We loved the fantastic views and enjoyed the BBQ. Super clean and comfy. With an awesome shed with pool and dart board whixh the kids very much enjoyed.

My family had an amazing stay at Karen’s property. We stayed for four nights and there was always something to do around the area or in the games room. There was a lot of space for outdoor activities. The house was clean and it had everything that were listed. Karen was great to communicate with and really made us feel welcoming and comfortable. I highly recommend this place if you’re with family and love the outdoor as there’s so much variety around and space to create an outdoor activities for yourselves. Thank you so much Karen.

The perfect weekend getaway!

Had the best time staying at Totara Ridge! What a gem of a spot. The house was so spacious and comfortable which made us feel right at home. The ocean views were absolutely stunning—such a peaceful vibe to wake up to each day. The games room was a hit with everyone, we spent hours playing and just having a laugh. The place had everything we needed and more, from the kitchen to the amenities. Highly recommend it if you’re after a chill, private getaway with some stunning views. Will definitely be back!

Lovely spot and a great setup for family. Our dog enjoyed his stay and nice to have the property fenced off. The road is a little windy and steep in places but we got our motorcross trailer to the house no worries and good amount of space to maneuver it around. Karen was great with the comms and process was really easy.
