This location is truly unbeatable. It’s the perfect middle area to explore the eastern shore of Canada, but it would also be exquisite for a private getaway in the country. It stands on a beautiful windswept hilltop with an incredible view of the bay. We saw a fox and hunted for fossils on the beach. If you’re not from the area, note that places close early and you may need CAD cash or credit card.

What an ideal place, just mere minutes from Joggins Fossil Museum, 30 minutes from Amherst and Springhill, and the perfect place for peace, quiet and reconnecting. Thankfully we didn't stay during the heatwave as there is no cooling system in place. Replacing a couple of screens in the windows and getting a screen for the patio door would do alot for cooling off the place and not letting in flies or mosquitoes.

The views were absolutely spectacular!! I cannot say enough good things about the space, the host, and the sourroundings. Cindy is quite lovely to speak to, kitchen has all the amenities, was lucky enough to have a few visits from a gorgeous fox, enjoyed the starry night sky and sounds of the ocean. If you’re in the area to check out fossils or stones/crystals consider Fundy Treasures!

This seaside retreat offers a real escape, with all the creature comforts you need, and a sweeping vista to feast the eyes. When planning my recent trip to Nova Scotia this was a great respite and nice place to get away and recharge.The kitchen has a nice homespun feel, with a hint of the heritage of the building and well laid out. Good stock of quality cookware and serving ware for a very small group. The living room was cozy with subtle decor touches and (if you have time to watch television) all your favourite streams and regular channels on a decent sized screen.The single bedroom is cozy, with two windows looking out to the ragged cliffs on the shoreline. I saved the best for last.. the bathroom! It is HUGE! Decor nice, simple, and understated.I would highly recommend this rental for a solo retreat, honeymoon or a small family or couple getaway. This was my first rental experience with Vrbo. The booking and confirmation was easy, but check in and contact with the owner was stilted by the need to go through the non-intuitive app for texts. And while Cindy responded promptly to my urgent queries (directions? Building access code? WiFi password??) it was a pain not to be able to use texts through my phone.A check in &check out guide was not apparent on site, in any emails or the app. I cleaned as best I could, leaving it (I hope) in the same condition I found it. Overall though, this rental was alI I hoped it would be and then some. (not written with AI)

Beautiful and calm escape!

The property is as described in the listing, and the beautiful sunsets over the Bay of Fundy didn't disappoint! The cabin is super clean and has all the essentials for a nice and comfortable stay. The location is somewhat off the beaten path, so guests should arrive with ample food supplies.

Solo escape with my dog

Beautiful house on the hill overlooking the ocean. Exactly as promised was perfect for my dog and I. Walked down to joggins cliffseveryday as well as 4-minute drive seal Cove in search of Beach glass and interesting rocks. Did a day trip down to advocate harbor and greville Beach. A little remote but that's what I was looking for.

My mother and I rented this space for a week in June and I can only highly recommend the experience - the view alone is spectacular, but the house itself is clean, well furnished and comfortable.Our hosts also went the extra mile to personally deliver extra bedding to us! We are super appreciative of their care and attention to detail.Additionally, you can find several flyers for local attractions and restaurants, which was really helpful for us in deciding what to do.I do recommend stocking up on some groceries before heading over - Joggins is somewhat off the beaten track and for your convenience, arriving with snacks may be helpful. That being said, it’s not so far from shopping that you can’t get places easily enough, and driving in the area can be a fun way to see the scenery.Whether you are looking to sightsee, or simply relax, this location gives you a chance to experience it all. :)

Out of the way rustic stay

The property is rustic and missing a few bits and pieces but has a nice view. Its very close to Joggins museum which gives acces to the rocky beach and great photo opportunities.The weather was sometimes chilly and windy but the cottage was not drafty and it was quite warm. I would like to have seen a bit more attention to kitchen supplies such as cutlery. Some botled water is supplied which is nice. You'll want to bring some extra if you are not used to country water. There is enough room for luggage but, at the time of our visit, there was limited space to unpack or hang items. We do overpack so we made do by arranging our packing cubes. This may change if hooks, dressers or wardrobes are added.
We had a fair amount of wildlife visit during our stay.
Joggins beach walk when tide is lower. Excellent for views, rock and fossil exploration. Guided tours available at the museum.

We enjoyed our stay at this place. It really has a great view over the coastline. Too bad we couldn't take advantage of the deck because of the bugs, but that was the time of year. Recommend!

Overall great experience. Was a little tricky getting check in information. Host wasn’t proactive about sending it out prior to check in. I messaged in the app, didn't hear back, ended up calling them while they were at work, but they sent the information right after and everything went pretty smoothly. Could have used another blanket for the fold out couch.
